Industrial Light And Magic did the effects for this film. In fact they have done the effects of just about EVERY major motion picture since 1975. Founded in May 1975 by George Lucas. (yes they worked on every Star Wars project since the beginning) It is a division of the film production company Lucasfilm. When you read the list of the films they made it will blow your mind. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Industrial_Light_%26_Magic#Filmography
It's always the "I know now why you cry" that gets me. Also find the line "If a machine can learn the value of human life then maybe we can too" really powerful
Miles actor once had a punctured lung, so that scene where he's breathing he's replicating how he had to breathe with one lung punctured. So it looks genuine because it technically is seeing as its based on genuine experience.
There are three versions of this film: theatrical, special, & extended. The 3rd is the one you reacted to, which has the unofficial ending w/ old Sarah. The real ending from the first two versions is simply Sarah narrating that the future is now unknown but w/ a sense of hope.
Actually this ending its the cannon, there are 2 terminator movies and that's it. The rest are garbage in which hollywood tries to milking on and take cash.
@@Resterminador Couldn't have put it better myself. The movie studios probably knew they couldn't make any other Terminator movies with the original ending with Sarah being a grandmother, so they proceeded to make dog shit Terminator films after this. As you stated, there are 2 Terminator movies, and that's it.
@@DerrickFiddle James Cameron was the one who decided on the ambiguous ending. It has nothing to do with being able to make sequels because the studio could still do that even with this alternate ending. All they have to do is make up an excuse for Skynet to be built after Sarah passes away.
I prefer the theatrical ending, but I love the extra scenes of character and world-building, and all the little details that come with it. And I'm always glad to see Michael Biehn, even if it's a short cameo.
The reason why the visual effects look so good for 1991 was because, outside of the T1000, everything else they used were still old school real effects. The nuclear holocaust scene was doing with miniatures and Sarah's burning body was done with animatronics. I really miss the old school effects.
I genuinely love watching people's 1st time reaction to practical effects, Like it's the 1st time they realise that there is something other than CGI, and they are utterly dumbfounded.
Excellent reaction! This legendary film is 30 years old in July and it STILL stands the test of time. This classic is a very important film in special effects history. It started the CGI revolution that you still see in films to this day.
The version of herself she sees looking through the fence in her nightmare scene is played by Linda's twin sister. You'll notice she is not all "buffed up" like Linda is.
@@k1productions87 That's what I meant. Sara (played by Linda) has reason to be in "fighting trim," whereas the version of Sara she is looking at though the fence is unaware of Skynet or what is to come and has no reason to be.
She was also Sarah's "reflection" in the mirror when they were taking the chip out of Arnie's head! Also, the security guard and the T-1000's clone of him were played by twins as well.

The Sarah Connor Chronicles is better than any of the sequels that came after T3.. I even the show more than T3 and I think of it as more of a "alternate universe" kinda like how in DC and Marvel you have the Muilti-Verse and I think of TSCC as part of a Terminator "Multi-Verse"

To say, i guess, that i really enjoyed your reaction. Thanks, too, for not gabbing and blathering away right through/over critical dialog in the movie as many other reacters do. Good job!
Couple of side notes you might find interesting. In the novelization, it says that after changing the future, old Sarah hired a private detective to find Kyle Reese, and she found out that he was married and had kids and was living a nice, ordinary life. She wasn't planning to contact him and disrupt his life, she just needed to know that he was alive and happy in the non-apocalyptic world. When the American Film Institute made it's list of 100 Greatest Film Heroes and Villains, Arnold's Terminator was on the heroes list and on the villains list. I remember that what Jody Foster liked about the character was that "He's the monster who wants to be good."

Casualty of the cause unfortunately him creating it put him there but nonetheless his death was most definitely unnecessary and unfortunate. Shot and blown up 😔
That ending is the one from the Book adaptation of the Movie. Though personally, I prefer the more concise (& slightly vague) ending from the regular movie. They both have the same somber message of hope. ("Maybe if a Machine can learn the value of human life, maybe WE can too.")
I loved that you put on a special outfit to watch this movie. You watched the extended version that has a slightly different ending to the other version.
7:50 not only did he let himself go like that, he showed true strength by giving the swat team the chance to get out, since he didn’t want to take any lives... His message was clear, “get out while you can, try to stop me though and I take us all out...”

I love how the T1000 says "I know this hurts" it could be thought of as reassurance, for her to give up. But it knows the specific area she was stabbed in would hurt the human body very much. Love that neat touch.
It was clever how they had you guessing who was the bad terminator and who was the good one, right? Turning the bad guy into the good guy was something I really enjoyed. I've seen this movie many times, but I cry at the end every time too! :)
Spectacular reaction!!! I loved seeing how you were absolutely locked in to every moment. It showed on every little twitch/change on your face, every few seconds. I say you're right to just stop here and watch no more in this series!
2:26 Linda Hamilton has a sister that looks like how Linda Hamilton did in 1984. Talking about sisters, in your Part 1 T2 video, the big security guard getting coffee while the liquid Terminator is coming off the floor are actually twin brothers.
The company found the other terminator arm so nothing changed! You seen Hicks from Aliens! Did you see Vasquez? She played the stepmom! Keep watching the series it’s fun!
Great reaction OUAR! Thank you for sharing. I really like how you dress up for, and get into the content. Your hard work and passion are always a treat. You put on a great show.
I'd forgotten several of these scenes that were cut in the theatrical release, but restored for later releases. Great reaction, enjoyed it! Love your energy.
Scene where Arnold jumps of bridge with motor and also scene where chopper flies under the bridge were just some of many practical scenes that were done. All scenes with dual characters (Linda with her Twin sister, and also that guard that drank Cola) but this is one of best action movies ever and EVERYONE get chills on music
15:42 difficult to really say, there's another related paradox. If the Machines sent the Terminator back in time then the human resistance couldn't send anyone else back because from their perspective the terminator would have already won and the resistance wouldn't have ever formed, it's the grandfather paradox.
It's likely this is at least the 4th timeline. OG 1984 timeline: Sarah goes to the club after being ditched by her date, meets a random dude at a bar that impregned her, creating John. Has no idea about the future in the OG timeline. Skynet is created but it could be by Cyberdyne or another company and is likely less advanced. Judgement Day happens and so on. Alternate 1984: Skynet sends back it's most advanced killer, the T-800, John sends Kyle. News reports scare Sarah, who leaves the bar where she met John's OG father, events similar to T1 happen. Kyle is now the father. This time Sarah has knowledge of the future, prepares John for Judgement Day. The first Terminator is killed is a Cyberdyne factory (enter grandfather paradox), giving the company advanced knowledge. Alternate 1984 (T1): Events of the movie happen. We know here it is at LEAST the 3rd timeline because Kyle mentions Sarah knew Judgement Day was going to happen and prepared John. 1994 (T2). Skynet sends 2 Terminators back, knowing the first terminator will fail but knows of it's own grandfather paradox. T-1000 is more advanced thanks to the timeline being altered so many times.
One of your best reactions ever. This is one of the best action movies ever! The effects from this movie are still better than some of the CGI we get in movies today.
ME ENCANTO TU REACCION,,ESTA PELICULA LA VI EN EL CINE CON MIS AMIGOS EN EL AÑO 91,,RECUERDO QUE MUCHA GENTE LLORO AL FINAL,,,!!! SALUDOS DESDE CHILE !!!
You are right about the paradox, tje if they changed the future John Connor can not exist course Kyle doesn't come back in future. But according the universe of terminator there are rules of causal loop in time. That means that all events exist in closed system. Kyle came back in time to save Sarah and become s father of John who in future will send Kyle in past to save his mother and become his father etc. Its a circle without the beginning, and all events here are results of these events.
One interesting about T2 is that director Cameron used two actors who had identical twin siblings for practical purposes, Linda Hamilton had two very different scenes with her sister so they could both be in the same shot. The same for the hospital guard with the coffee cup.
Waiting for your reaction of the sequels: • Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines (2003) • Terminator Salvation (2009) • Terminator - Genisys (2015) • Terminator - Dark Fate (2019)
It's rare to see real tears on a reaction channel, and then mainly from the dramas, but around here crying is for when the Terminator wants to take a snooze in a hot-tub for robots. I always thought he'd enjoy it a little, like maybe he really was just going on that vacation, but at least the priorities are right. This is now the best reaction channel by any objective standard. Let's all keep crying at the important stuff.
Awesome!! Another epic reaction, I think every man, woman and child cried at the end of this one it's fine. 😂 Now I'm off to watch your Predator reaction, Arnold is SO awesome. 💜
John can technically still be born without the terminator war. Kyle Reece will still be born. They need find him. And they need to invent a time machine. Aaand convince Kyle of everything that (never) happened and to use the time machine.
The reason the effects look so good is that most aren't really effects, most of the stuff is actually there (except the liquid terminator dude obviously). And yes, they did pilot a helicopter under a bridge for the film.
Ever since I've been watching Terminator 2, I have never had a chance to see every deleted scenes of this film and I never have seen the alternate ending Sarah Connor becoming a grandmother! Impressive 😲👍🏿👌🏿
The special effects were so good in this movie for its time as it was the first time computer generated imagery of its kind that was used for a main character.
At 0:49, you asked what the minigun was, it's a scaled down vulcan cannon for use by infantry. Spinning the barrels cools them, and allows for more rapid fire. They actually had to slow it down for the shootout, since they just tend to buzz and eat through ammo like popcorn at a theater.
My first time watching your movie reaction, loved it ! That was a lot of fun watching along with you I'll be sure to tune in again. Hasta la vista baby. 🤗
Don't worry about the other sequels. The reason there is no paradox or complication with the timeline is because everything following "Terminator 2" is an alternate reality set in motion by changes made through time. Even "Dark Fate" is its own separate chain of events caused by the future being altered.
I like that you watched the directors cut because it went more by the book. The point where you hear terminators are sent back with read only so they cannot learn..meaning terminators themselves could learn and possibly turn against Skynet. In the book to the alternate power scene is described in book as flashes in his memory of John and Sarah..and he realizes his mission is not done and forces himself to re power. The most poignant is what Sarah says, "If a machine can learn the value of human life. Maybe we can too."
I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. This is the best of all the Terminator movies. In my opinion. It only goes down hill from here. You're very intelligent and intuitive to read the direction the movie was going. I look forward to more movie reactions.
That's the first film. Brilliant in every way. T2 is one of the most overrated movies ever made. Full of plot holes, Disney like performances and stupid nonsense scenes.
The "super weapon" is 6-barrel M134 minigun. Arnold Schwarzenegger was already filmed with this weapon in "Predator" around 1985. It is told that Arnold was the only man on the stage capable of lifting that gun up. Actually, it isn't intended for handheld operations.
@@reactions5783 Ha, you're right. How long ago was it... But the fact about lifting it up I associate somehow to the Predator. Perhaps it was true even though Arnold did't operate it in the movie.
I watch a lot of movie reactions but you're my favorite reviewer! You're just a lot of fun and I like when you comment in Spanish. Gonna check out more of your reactions.

I was 21 when this film came out in the theaters 🎭 back in July 1991 it did very well at the box office. It was the Monster of summer movies
One of your best reactions ever.
This is one of the best action movies ever! The effects from this movie are still better than some of the CGI we get in movies today.
When James Cameron passes on, he can do so knowing he's responsible for the best sci fi action sequel ever made.
Aliens? Or Terminator 2?
@@jasonbuter9493 Terminator 2.
Just being a smartass:)
@@jasonbuter9493 lol I was like is this dude seriously asking me this?
Well, aliens was a great sequel as well!
Waiting for your reaction of the sequels:
• Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines (2003)
• Terminator Salvation (2009)
• Terminator - Genisys (2015)
• Terminator - Dark Fate (2019)
Magnifique...Hasta La Vista Baby🤖🦾
It's nice to see a reaction channel with actual reactions. Good work.
I'm not ashamed to admit that I cry every time I watch the ending of this movie. I cried when I first saw it, when I was a kid.
there is a movie called deadpool from 2016 i think you will like
Boooooooooooooooo.
"That is so freaking Badass" - YES BABY, IT IS! xD
Awesome!! Another epic reaction, I think every man, woman and child cried at the end of this one it's fine. 😂
Now I'm off to watch your Predator reaction, Arnold is SO awesome. 💜
Terminator 2 and Aliens, are PERFECT! can't be any better.
Cant really think of any films this old where the special effects are so good that it would still be good if released today.
Special effects have gotten MUCH WORSE actually not better. They have gotten so lazy with relying on cheesy video game graphics.
And yes, they did pilot a helicopter under a bridge for the film.
love the shit out of arnold icking up the todler
Ever since I've been watching Terminator 2, I have never had a chance to see every deleted scenes of this film and I never have seen the alternate ending Sarah Connor becoming a grandmother! Impressive 😲👍🏿👌🏿
Mi fe en la humanidad se a restaurado ..... las nuevas generaciones saben apreciar las buenas producciones
The special effects were so good in this movie for its time as it was the first time computer generated imagery of its kind that was used for a main character.
And they made it look better than it does now, somehow.
Great react, one of my favs of this movie.
I actually cried too at the end... 🤎
My first time watching your movie reaction, loved it ! That was a lot of fun watching along with you I'll be sure to tune in again. Hasta la vista baby. 🤗
Love when you swear in spanish, so funny and cute ^^
Don't worry about the other sequels. The reason there is no paradox or complication with the timeline is because everything following "Terminator 2" is an alternate reality set in motion by changes made through time. Even "Dark Fate" is its own separate chain of events caused by the future being altered.
Arnold was impressed too about Linda Hamiltons Muscles.
Greatest sci fi sequel ever made fantastic reaction to this epic/iconic sequel
Thanks for brightening up my day with your videos when i need it :)
"T2 is the best sequel ever"
and water is wet
But that was Blain's (Jesse Ventura's) gun in Predator, not Dutch's (Arnold's)
@@reactions5783 Ha, you're right. How long ago was it... But the fact about lifting it up I associate somehow to the Predator. Perhaps it was true even though Arnold did't operate it in the movie.
@@demidtuzenko4332 Maybe you were thinking of similar scenes of Arnold in 'Commando?'
i love your intensity in the climax parts, great movie!!
I watch a lot of movie reactions but you're my favorite reviewer! You're just a lot of fun and I like when you comment in Spanish. Gonna check out more of your reactions.
