    Hello, this is Algae.
    Do you like pine nuts?
Pinus koraiensis is the only pine tree native to Korea whose seeds are edible.
Maybe because of the large size of the seeds?
Anyway, I think pine nuts with a fragrant fragrance are delicious ingredients.
Today, I sprouted the seeds of Pinus koraiensis, which are used for food in Korea.
I hope this video will give you pleasure.
    Have a nice day :)
    Thank you.

I tried to sprout all different kind of european needle trees and succeeded...
BUT all died not long after transplanting...
I think it is key to NOT expose the roots in the process of transplanting and keep the soil around the roots OR to just put it in a deeper pot from the very beginning.
Always keeping the soil wet but not too wet is also very important otherwise they kinda instantly dry out...
In nature it seems that most needle trees only sprout in the shadow of larger trees never full sun and never full shadow.
And of course the soil is perfect in those areas... so maybe you should give it a try and take some soil from one of these places for your young seedlings and try to imitate how nature does grow them.
I've got another experiment ongoing with a bunch of Redwood seeds but they take a long time to sprout, I will post an update, if they start sprouting.
Have a nice day and thank you very much for your videos, the soundtrack in the background fits just perfect! 😊

      Hello this is Algae.
Thank you for watching my video :)
And thank you for sharing your experience.
I strongly agree with the opinion that pine trees are susceptible to transplanting.
I think the most stable method is to move the roots and the soil around them together during the transplanting process.
And I strongly agree with your thoughts on maintaining appropriate levels of moisture.
I hope you see good results in your many attempts.
      Have a good day :)
