You are definitely the best channel for college advice and high schoolers. You really give awesome tips and help us get more clarity and understand to process. It gives me a peace of mind knowing that you do not holding out anything to us. I greatly appreciate your advice. ❤❤
this is really helpful but i have a question, how am I supposed to find research opportunities online at local universities? especially that allows high school students because I’m not sure how to do that . also, does the university have to be really prestigious because I don’t live nearby any prestigious universities.
of course prestigious universities have more weight, however the factor that makes the biggest difference in the world of research is being able to publish it to an established journal. Regarding finding research opportunities, it's not going to show up on the internet like job postings. You're going to have to find specific research that a college is doing currently, find the professor that is behind it, and then email them asking for an opportunity to work under them for free. Hope that helps
@@sh2nu1ee okay! even if the research doesn’t say anything specific about high school, i can just reach out and ask to participate in it over the summer? Also, how long does it usually take to write and publish a research paper because it will be very difficult especially with course work. also, i am thinking of creating a science olympiad club!! any tips for it to be successful and actually STAND out to colleges?
should i wait to beef up my resume or just email rn. i’m doing comp sci and wanting to do some ai or machine learning research. currently im a sophomore and for those ecs im a hackathon club officer, international research olympiad club co founder and officer had an internship, and developed a mobile app. i dont have much in ai yet so i was planning to build a project in machine learning so do you think i should wait to finish that then email or just email straight away since to actually learn machine learning and implement it in the project, it would probably take a couple of months
Hey, I loved the video, but I have a question. What are some skills that are very helpful or needed in this process; if you don't have any skills outside of school, would professors or teams still want you? Also, would a rec letter from a previous employer help? Finally, what do you think about AP capstone (AP Seminar and Research)? Is that a good introduction into how to publish? Thanks for the vid n hopefuly u respond please.

Great video! But i have a question. Can i make research online with team? Because i dont think my family can allow me to go abroad for this research.
HERE: First comment again. Can you tell me if IGCSE and A levels can get you in ivy league?
That helps! But i need to personally gain knowledge on the research or research topics of the prof before mailing right?
