    A good teacher knows how to simplify the subject, condence it, and bring out the necessary essence of it at the start. It takes intelligence and talent and you have both...not to mention that wonderful charisma of yours.

    Hi Maha! I'm wondering about the "other two functions" you mentioned with adjectives.. such as "the house is big, and a big house". you mentioned this at 5:50 minutes in this video. Are you planning to make another video that explains this?
    Thanks

    al bayt is masculine, that's why the adjective takes the singular masculine gender: Kabir.
    KabirA would be the singular feminine gender getting in accordance with a feminine subject. Kabira would be also when you say albuyut kabira. When the object is in PLURAL, then you use "AlkabirA"

  • @yousefob
    @yousefob 12 років тому

    @froggymicwop not really. singular animals, objects (like a chair) can be either masculine or feminine. However, the plural of these two classes is dealt with as feminine singular. Hope you got it?

  • @tanalee09
    @tanalee09 12 років тому

    Aloha, Maha.
    I think you forgot to add the link to feminine endings at around 2:15.
    I just watched one of your videos where you answered people's questions about you. You were talking about your hair being damaged, and having two ends or double ends. In case no one told you yet, the phrase is "split ends". : )
    You also said that you think you are photogenic, but not beautiful. Let me say that if you are not beautiful, then you are EXTREMELY photogenic!
    Aloha to (extremely handsome) Luca!

    I am indian, i am tryin to learn arabic, its difficult but i still want to...The question i have is regarding the animals and objects thing u mentioned in the video...for example if i want to say what a beautiful MALE dog, how do i go about it? because we have a different word for male and female in both URDU and HINDI male = nar and female= mada.

  • @moussakebe
    @moussakebe 12 років тому

    I am not a hundred percent sure but I think it's because a house is masculin, therefore the adjective follows the masculin gender, in the case where you would have spoken in plural then the adjective would go feminin singular :) ex: Al buyut al kabirA
    If I am wrong I sorry and correct me.
