Nice! If you're not already towing something, consider pre-loading a trailer hitch cargo carrier on top of a wheeled dolly at the correct height so you can just insert and go. Should save a lot of time, good for situations like nearby hazmat train derailments etc

Another big one is you can look up your local county/cities/ state emergency preparedness plan and plan your own bug-in/ out based on the various situations listed by your local municipality. I figured out a while ago that can save you a lot of time and work on where you shift your preparedness focuses. Another good idea is if you work for a company with an ERT team you should join that and get yourself some free first responder and emergency response training.

Making a print out and laminating the phone numbers of emergency ham frequencies and AM/FM frequencies addresses and grid references of places you need to know then stashing them in bags is also a smart idea.

I keep one of those in my wallet, I even set the frequencies for the local repeaters at the top of the list in my mobile too

The keeping your gas tank full is always a good idea no matter what, we practice that with rotating through the gas cans. The only problem with bugging out in an area like mine is that for at least 50 miles in all directions all you find is farmland, hog barns and small rural towns. so, in an area like this, the bugging out concept would almost make it a priority to know some land owners or have done family with farmland in the area. Just because if we had mass panic the main highways would be all sorts of congested with people trying to leave and get through the bigger towns.

You’re really already at a bug out location with farms and food.

What backpack is that? Thanks for making this video. To me the hardest part of bugging out is having everything organized and ready to go in minutes time! 👊🏻

Excellent video. Do you keep a video topic idea list? If so, could you touch on physical conditioning at this point in your life? You look fit. And the importance of that is mostly glossed over in being prepared discussions.

I do and this is shocking to me but every single fitness video I put out gets crapped on because people really don’t like hearing that they’re overweight. Joe Rogan has a lot of good information on staying fit as you age.

@@TJackSurvival I'm finally spinning up to launch my own UA-cam channel, "PrepProjects". I purchased a website, Audio/Video equipment, and am trying to figure some Editing Software. After the holidays I will hit it hard and get several Videos uploaded. I plan on doing videos on several of my Readyman Posts just so I have more content when I start.

I have a thought for you young man. Everyone is considering bugging out to the forest and live off the land. I think only 5% will make it you will be one of them. The last thing I will do is bug out. Since I am by myself, and a feisty senior at that. I do believe their safety in numbers. I myself, is well prepared for anything that goes down except one thing. When the big old mushrooms in the sky. What happens to all the people who had this ingenious idea to be on the road to get to there bug out place usually an hour or so away are stuck Frozen on the highway. What happens when the Prez.è.det bubble heads distribute little and big dinosaurs to the Border crossers. Has anybody thought of that? They all look well fit with attitude. How many people are aware of the earth displacement. Maybe 1% of the people are actually planning for that. Including the micrornova. We need not to put our eggs all in one basket. I think we will have to fight for our country the land and the people. God bless you. God family country🙏😇
