- The Blackfoot style Tipi represents shelter from negative happenings. Everyone who helps construct a Tipi receives blessings from the creator. An offering of tobacco to the spirit helpers asks for the right to use the land and provide the opportunity, environment and skills to erect a strong Tipi. All humans endeavor to live life in a good way. The Tipi represents the strength and resilience to face the challenges of life, to stand strong in the winds of change.

This was great to watch. Thank you. I just finished sewing a 21ft cover and 9ft liners for a crow-style tipi and need to learn more on 4pole set up. I never saw where the cover was folded in half to place poles. Oh boya, I gotta lot to learn. Lol
What kinda machine do u use to sew ur tipi canvas
@@jonassmiley1380 1955 Singer sewing machine that was my mother's. Purchased the same year I was born. Sewed like a dream. It us considered the best machine ever made by Singer. I keep it oiled and greased. It was a challenge, but I did it!

What is the weight of the entire tepee including poles, canvas, and liner? What is the height of the lodge poles used? You are an amazing Indian with a rich heritage. Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
