@@TylerPlays-ec5cc honestly like I remember being forced on 13 a couple of years back I was like 14 and I loved it but now whenever I go I just can't do it even tho I know I like em
This was my favourite ride easily at alton towers. There wasn't really any fear/anxiety like other rides (even though I do enjoy these aspects). The ride was just pure fun! Ridiculously smooth, and like many have said before, it just feels like you're flying. We rode 3 times - once in the day, once at night, and on the 3rd time we all agreed to close our eyes for the whole ride.. The eyes closed ride was a crazy experience and at times I completely lost track of whether I was going forwards or backwards (definitely reccommend this as an experience).
what's brilliant is there's no stomach drop feeling. I expected there to be especially when u r on ur back dropping down but no the ride is extremely smooth and it feels like ur cruising thru the air
I went on a couple days ago. The smiler is still my favourite, but Galactica is definitely the most unique. You do feel like you're flying, and the feeling of there being nothing below you is insane. Definitely reccommend it.
Ooooh my goodness, the reverse view is so trippy! Especially the downward dips! It throws your brain watching this as you want the track, eventually, to be underneath you and, of course, it never does.
First ride I went on here. It was so fun. Honestly I'd your scared of rides, go on this one first, it warms you up and is quite relaxing towards the end!!

I have been scared to ever go on a roller coaster for a long time. So next time I go to Alton towers I will do the mine train (Personal favourite ride at Alton towers) and try wicker man for the first time. Then I will do this as a first inverted coaster.

I havent been to Alton Towers since 2015. Im guessing this ride used to be called 'Air' as it looks very similar to that. If it is, i remember it being very very relaxing and enjoyable, although im not sure why its had a name change.
It had a revamp to a space theme called Galatica it feaured VR but that has been since removed due to a number of issues it causes, many think it will be revamped again soon
@@eviladam23 ah, thank you. The name 'Air' was a perfect description of the ride. It felt like you were gently and pleasantly flying through the air. Makes little sense why they'd call it Galactica, unless they had a revamp of that area of the park and wanted to tie it in to the rest of the space theme. I'm overdue another visit 😆
@@AmaanStorm Yeah it had a full revamp, new music, new theme, there is a portal you fly through, it has a new station audio telling you whats happening, go check out the advert from 2016, ofcourse VR is no longer a feature on which was the whole point of the revamp, I think it will be revamped again soon.
I recently went to Alton towers. I didn’t go on galactica unfortunately. That was the biggest mistake I’ve ever made in my life! Hopefully i get another chance to go on it before the coaster gets re themed!
This used to be called Air and was my favourite at Alton Towers, the ride is so smooth I just loved it. Why does it have a new name - there are certainly no changes on track. Only theming change from what I can see is the circle at the bottom of the first drop, at the point where the on ride photos were taken.
To me this is the future a roller coasters because people who are afraid of them can go on a VR experience and not have to worry about it they can just have fun you know you don't have to be terrified you can go on a journey and this is definitely the future and I think it looks great I think it's going to get bigger and better and yeah I think it's definitely going to work
If I am not mistaken, there seems to be a lying on your back section when you are looking at the sky. If that is correct then it is really cool. I have not seen that before.
My first time at Alton Towers and my first time going on big rides was Sunday 16th May. I went on Smiler, Galactica, Nemesis, Wicker Man, Sonic Spinball. I loved them all. I had already been on The Mallenium at Fantasy Island. But that’s nothing compared to these. They are amazing.

Year ago I hadn't rode anything and was afraid but now love them. For me there's two ways, you can build yourself up, try going on stuff like Thirteen, then Wicker Man and then maybe work your way up to this and some of the looping stuff. Or just go out of your way to ride whatever you think the most daunting one is, get in the queue and just force yourself. I went to Thorpe Park, had never road a inverting coaster before but just sucked it up and got in line for Nemesis Inferno. Once you've done one of the more extreme rides you'll be fine, you just need to break your perception of them. Also it's okay to scream or cheer or shout, it really helps. Galactica/Air here is also a super gentle and fun ride that can get you used to some sensations like inverting without it being the most intense thing ever. Just be brave! Once its done you'll love it and have no regrets and like me, you'll be planning your next visit!
