You know the rich people who bought this don’t really like cars because they bought it before ever seeing it and really knowing about the specs, all they care about is making it a part of their collection.
But the F40 still looks stunning in a sort of crazy 80s way. This does nothing to me. Just makes me miss their collaboration with Pininfarina even more.
That yellow spec look's tremendous !! much better than the launch spec with wheels nicer as one colour. The black band makes it look like a raccoon so I'd change that to body colour. Paint the whole roof up to the rear engine cover gloss black ,wing mirror's gloss black , the rear wing main plane gloss black. On such a large car the contrast black is needed. Overall I like this F80 , it's like a futuristic F40...Only one problem , the limited 217 mph max speed is easily beaten by a 150k ZR1 ( 233 mph ). Not good !
First time watching your video and it's not off to a great start. Your comparison of naming the SF90 and F80 is incorrect. F80 is the successor to the F70, the laferrari, which is a successor to the F60 the Enzo Ferrari, which was a successor to the F50, simply known as F50. The SF90 is actually called SF90 stradale, the road going model named after the SF90 the F1 car from 2019. So saying F80 coming after SF90 being improper naming convention is completely worng.
i agree with your description and the look. Honestly, for the sf90 being what , a hypercar basically, it looked like nothing. No excitement and unless you know the difference, an F8, 296 and sf cruising down the road its hard to tell. They needed to go back to more of the La Ferrari designs style. What really bothered me, was the silver lip on the rims. It broke up the flow of the car. Also, LOUVERS? No see through engine cover, just some vents. I'm trying to be nice and give it more but honestly, overall im not that impressed and unless that 4 wheel drive is going to make a huge difference and considering the other high hp cars and figuring the pretty penny its going to cost, it should have had a minimum of 1300-1500hp
Damn Misha, Jimmer and SuperGT, the dream team!! Back on topic... You are not the only one, I really dislike how it looks more than the "meh" specs (I don't have that money neither lol)
I'm ok with the powertrain being V6 + electric motors. I mean 900hp from V6 alone is pretty nice. But the styling is not Ferrari's best work but it's ok I guess. They sure made it easy for Lego to make a Technic -version. But why they made the same black stripe on the front as in 12 Cilindri, that's kinda weird to me.

Also, take a look at the Mission X concept and tell me if you don't see hard edges.
I blame Mansory for the influence of this catastrophe. I'm a big Ferrari fan and this is not the direction I expected the new Halo car to go. As far as performance goes I'm sure its going to be uber driver friendly ..as in able to extract a large portion of the performance with mediocre skill but I think w todays tech I think they can create a lightweight legit race car for the street that has settings to match each skill set for "track days". Yeah, so true. The 296 by itself looks beautiful. Arguably not as good as the 458 or 488, but still beautiful. The Asetto Fiorano package makes that beauty completely irrelevant and makes your jaw drop in misery for how horrible the colour combination is. This is worse than that too. Sad to see Ferrari like this. Why did they disconnect from Pininfarina?
@@akshaysankarshana2405 your info is not correct, as even with the AF package, you can cancel the dual colour combination for a 296 and sf90, just check the configurator
Design wise what's happening with these cars segments is they are focused on Aerodynamic bits that will contribute to overall aspect gets ugly and not looking good 😅
They clearly tried to simultaneously make it nostalgic (see the Ferrari VGT for a more extreme example) and modern and ended up with a convoluted, unfocused mess that achieves neither.
The only colour worth buying is black, unless you're going to wrap/paint that hideous black strip on the front. I don't like the black roof either. It looked good on the 458. That was it.
812 Competizione sparks emotions more than that. Although i think there is misconception between Halo car and let's call it 'emotion' line. Halo has to pack everything what is best right now and direct the future. I don't like the fact it is V6 for only the fact it is 6, not 12 but let's agree, V6 is currently top tech Ferrari has to offer and they proved it. Going with that, we have Icona lineup where spec sheet doesn't matter, it is pure experience and emotion offer.
I know the looks are probably for aerodynamics and stuff, but Ferrari threw the baby out with the bathwater with this car's design. Reminds me of what Richard Hammond said in a Huracan review: "Its a car I can respect for its engineering, but love it? quiver at the sight of it? I'm afraid not." Yes, it uses a lot of motorsport tech from F1 and WEC, and I'm pretty sure itll be a monster on track, but I just don't think it looks special enough for a Ferrari or even a hypercar in general. It seems like some car companies are so focused on chasing numbers and engineering that they sometimes forget the intangible things that make our jaws drop over these cars
Everyone crying about the f80. i think it looks jawdropping and has the best looks of the new trinity for me until porshe shows us their car. why complain about the v6? the performance will be insane technology moves forward. im a v12 lover but people need to realize technology and inovation has always been at the front of of the fastest cars ever desidgned. Also the interior: it looks EXACTLY like a fighter jet cockpit, I love it!
this v6 sounds better than the sf90 v8 anyway
This is the only time I have to disagree with misha.
You know the rich people who bought this don’t really like cars because they bought it before ever seeing it and really knowing about the specs, all they care about is making it a part of their collection.
I love it in yellow ⭐️
Garage door opener: "No I'm gonna leave my car outside :D"
This is amazing!
You make it hilarious Micha. Moe of this!

This makes the sf90 look like a masterpiece
V6 in a £4m flagship Ferrari... is like an Apple watch with a Rolex screensaver.
Its design is not as elegant as the F50; it's more purpose-driven, like the F40.
But the F40 still looks stunning in a sort of crazy 80s way. This does nothing to me. Just makes me miss their collaboration with Pininfarina even more.
"It looks like an updated sf90", exactly my thoughts
That yellow spec look's tremendous !! much better than the launch spec with wheels nicer as one colour. The black band makes it look like a raccoon so I'd change that to body colour. Paint the whole roof up to the rear engine cover gloss black ,wing mirror's gloss black , the rear wing main plane gloss black. On such a large car the contrast black is needed. Overall I like this F80 , it's like a futuristic F40...Only one problem , the limited 217 mph max speed is easily beaten by a 150k ZR1 ( 233 mph ). Not good !
Max speed isn't the purpose of this car
people who buy the ZR1 will not be considering this, or vice versa, apples to oranges
"...but it's not an SUV!!"
They should call it SF100 and create a nee V8 or V12 hypercar. I agree it looks more like SF90 successor then La ferrari replacement.
Lego technic ahhh Ferrari except it's not bricks 😂
yep with making this type of a car a V6, Ferrari accidentally made a spiritual successor of the XJ 220
i agree with your description and the look.
Super GT in the house, and Pizza and cars, greeeeaat!
It's genuinely impressive how ugly that car is. Like... Wow.
Ikr, it really is. So is their new 12Cilindri.
yep...they really did pull out all the stops there....and build a "red brick"......producing a ton of bricks downforce......
to me Ferrari slowly lost its identity after going public as a company
@@MMK86 A company losing its identity and making cheaper products after going public? No way..
Many such cases 😔
You are crazy 😂
Did not expect Jimmy and Steve in here
In yellow it looks incredible, 4 electric motors it should be able to get through any corner, I'm excited for reviews.
It's stunning and it will be an incredible driving experience
Damn Misha, Jimmer and SuperGT, the dream team!!
Back on topic... You are not the only one, I really dislike how it looks more than the "meh" specs (I don't have that money neither lol)
This was fun, more of this 😄
suddenly the W1 doesnt look bad after all
Argento Nurburgring is only referring to the color of the silver stripe of the livery
Well said, it's not great looking at all, and adding electricity motors and taking away the cylinder is just wrong
Bro configured minion car...
I'm ok with the powertrain being V6 + electric motors. I mean 900hp from V6 alone is pretty nice. But the styling is not Ferrari's best work but it's ok I guess. They sure made it easy for Lego to make a Technic -version. But why they made the same black stripe on the front as in 12 Cilindri, that's kinda weird to me.
ferrari cars always looked sleek and elegant while this feels like corvette on steroids also feels too similar to new mclaren w11, amg one really stands in my books as a cool and futuristic hypercar
2:24 its the racing connection
I'm way more excited for the ZR1.
Why it will be slower and worse in every way.
@@mineralwater6736 the f80 won't be faster when it's mostly only doing coffee meets
@@jsleeio it will go on track and absolutely dog walk the Corvette.
And water is wet. You’re comparing a 4 million dollar hyper car with hybrid assistance and F1 tech to a $150,000 car. What’s your point?
@@mineralwater6736 The ZR1 will look better, sound better and end be closer in lap time to the F80 than 95% of all cars including other hyper cars. Just keep dreaming about being a multi billionaire while life passes you by.
At least they don´t hve to change the interior for the XX version
nice spec btw, does not look bad and considering the base.. ^^
MX5 would take it 👍
If it had a Porsche badge everybody would be glazing tf out of it
TRUE THAT
fr especially carwow lmao
If you pay attention, Porsche doesn't do hard edged cars. There are all curvy for excellent aerodynamics and a low drag coefficient
@@currythegoatofmankindthepa5156 The original shape of a 911 is all except excellent aerodynamics. Its teardrop shape on the back produces so much lift they have to install wings, spoilers, etc just to make it planted at high speeds, otherwise it would be undriveable and dangerous. Also, take a look at the Mission X concept and tell me if you don't see hard edges.
Btw some news from powerslides lover?
If race engine is so important Enzo should have V10.
The F80 looks good in black
I blame Mansory for the influence of this catastrophe. I'm a big Ferrari fan and this is not the direction I expected the new Halo car to go. As far as performance goes I'm sure its going to be uber driver friendly ..as in able to extract a large portion of the performance with mediocre skill but I think w todays tech I think they can create a lightweight legit race car for the street that has settings to match each skill set for "track days". An Updated Laf with new tech batteries and motors would have been bananas ... just my measly 2 cents .
Im sure its going to be very impresive, but I completly agree with you
I really thought you would say 'i can't afford a garage, i spend it all on stitches' lolol
I know not everyone likes it, but I thought the Mclaren W1 smashed it out of the park. I'm surprised Ferrari were the ones to somewhat lose their identity in the new Halo cars.
mclarens are stunning, their designers are at the top right now... this, well the front of it looks like a nissan 300zx, no two ways about it, i dont know what they were thinking.
Makes a corvette look good and thats not easy
SF90 asseto fiorano looks a lot better than the F80
And the sf90xx looks much better too. Side by side, I would think that it’s a superior model of the two
@@coolguy_2997 They're all ugly. Ferrari is no longer as beautyful as they were until laferrari.
@@coolguy_2997 no no, I know it can be had without the AF package for both cars, but with it, it looks horrible.
Design wise what's happening with these cars segments is they are focused on Aerodynamic bits that will contribute to overall aspect gets ugly and not looking good 😅
God the F80 is ugly. Can't believe how badly Ferrari have lost their fantastic designs
They clearly tried to simultaneously make it nostalgic (see the Ferrari VGT for a more extreme example) and modern and ended up with a convoluted, unfocused mess that achieves neither.
Honestly, just like someone else mentioned, the sp3 feels more like a HyperCar than the f80 does
But it's a lot slower
The only colour worth buying is black, unless you're going to wrap/paint that hideous black strip on the front.
I don't like the black roof either. It looked good on the 458. That was it.
They want to do some hydrogen inverted inline six kompressor and turbocharged engine. Thats gonna be, errr exiting or something
Even the configurator is unimpressive. Misha, have you done a video like this with the GT3RS? Cheers.
I used to dislike the F50 but it really grew on me over the years. I don't think that's going to happen with the F80 though
What is this cross over that i didn't know i needed
812 Competizione sparks emotions more than that. Although i think there is misconception between Halo car and let's call it 'emotion' line. Halo has to pack everything what is best right now and direct the future. I don't like the fact it is V6 for only the fact it is 6, not 12 but let's agree, V6 is currently top tech Ferrari has to offer and they proved it. Going with that, we have Icona lineup where spec sheet doesn't matter, it is pure experience and emotion offer.
W for the Blades of Glory reference😂
For me Daytona sp3 brings more emotional feelings than F80
I built one in my kitchen with lego last year
Everyone crying about the f80. i think it looks jawdropping and has the best looks of the new trinity for me until porshe shows us their car.
why complain about the v6? the performance will be insane technology moves forward. im a v12 lover but people need to realize technology and inovation has always been at the front of of the fastest cars ever desidgned.
You want oldchool style theres plenty of other choices out there. t50 for example. pagani. lamborghini. ferrari as well so just stop the hate apreciate a masterpiece of engineering and speed when you see one people.
Dont even get me started on big name car reviewer channels. always puting down ferrari just because its ferrari. it has become tradition to ridicule ferrari to the masses.
Ferraris have proven to be faster then their competitors time and time again. The driving feel is unique. The tradition is there and the racing heritage both old and new are always class leading.
Just look at The Stigs toor trough Scuderia Ferrari garage and you will see what makes ferrari ferrari.
that reminds me of the latest Ford Gt big time....
Misha you should do a video about the new Mclaren W1!
