A little too hard, tbh. I've watched so many of Misha's videos & I'm accustomed to his driving style & demeanor - but I've never seen him drive a punter's car so close to the limit, from the outset of the lap. The amount of tyre squeal on cornering & squirm under brakes, coupled with the lack of the usual chat from Misha, made it obvious that he was very invested & perhaps ego was playing a part in the driving (which, if true, would be a concern). I realise he's a very talented driver & an entertaining UA-camr, so I'll assume he was driving well within himself, if not the car.

Misha driving like he stole it! That Porsche is a rapid car, there's no shame in having an E46 pull away from you. That BMW is dialed in and a testament to how good the car is, even if it's 25 years old.

Furthermore, the 911 was developed as a complete package, the specific M3 in the was good from the word go but developed to where it is now not by factory development but by an enthusiast.

Porsches scare me of how fast they are from the factory. That BMW was built to do this in the most hardcore way while the Porsche is also built for this, it has a carpet, a headliner, and radar cruise control. The engineering is what amazes me in these cars.
The bmw is a normal road going car and is 5x cheaper then the Porsche. Porsche is designed to be a super car . Normal e46 m3 with good suspension and brakes with geo set dose 7:30 normal no tuned engine average 120k miles on it. BMW is like the Bruce Lee .

This 450hp Porsche completely smokes almost all supposed 500+ hp tuned engine cars on this channel in straight line speeds, often despite weighing more. Love the brakes as well. Just drops the anchor, zero body movement, no steering correction required, just mad deceleration. Oh and this is the same Porsche as in the R8 V10 lap as well. Same license plates :) Kept up with that R8 pretty nicely as well.

That all having been said, we've still had claimed 500+ hp tuned cars on here that did 20-30 km/h less on the "benchmark" points, like before the bridge, Schwedenkreuz, the long uphill section, like I said often even despite weighing less. No traction issues, comparable gearing. It's not the 50-100hp more the Porsche has that makes the difference. It's the 200hp less that these ricers have :P
Such an accomplished car is the 911 even in it`s pretty standard form. Something tells me though Misha that you`ll enjoy that Beemer a lot more even if you don`t get to drive it.....hopefully you will, your public expect it😀
The BMW was using the whole track before turning in.. using a different line then you.. 4:27 his line and turn in and 4:28 your turn in and line was (2 meters)sooner and at less optimal line to carry speed…seems like some corners his apex is further then yours and he is clearly extreme left of the road before turning in compared to your line which at times seems like your a meter away from optimal line.. He using trail breaking correctly and applies power better than you.. Obviously skilled.. Watch his driving video and yes stays left uses all of road and carries speed smoothly.. The BMW video is half the car left of line before turn it 1:46 and you in this video are to the right.. he breaks smoother and you lose control prior to attempting to bring car to left before corner..
Best comment. My first time on track was 40 years ago and the basics, are still the basics. There were some awful early turn ins by Misha, then having to sort it out mid corner which then resulted in never threatening the track limits on exit. Made the BMW look much better than he should have done.
yes the E46 driver was very impressive, but for me it is still more impressive that Misha just jumps in a car for the first time and pushing it the way he is! those micro details like which gear do i take in this or that turn or how the car behaves here and there means a lot. great video once again
True, but he has driven so many cars just like this 911 and so many times! He's also driven all kinds of cars and that practice does enable him to jump in any car and do quite well. But the 911 he will know esp well.

Negative camber/perfect suspension set-up for the BMW (race car-esque) and a great well-balanced stock set-up for the Porsche and two accomplished drivers - very much appreciated this video.
Its a track build so thats normal compared to a road car. A lot of cars built for club racing do better than street cars too. Im in the usa so not sure what kind of series car classes they have for club racing in germany

The 911 needs full slicks for track use and tune for acceleration out of corners..That's really all it would need to hang.. Possibly driver swap as well.. Noticed a few corners wasn't as tight as needed but that can be fixed with tires..

200 hp down against the Porsche but that BMW is not only great setup for the Nurburgring. The driver makes the difference. 7 years and champ in motorsports. He knows his vehicle characteristics with the big wing and fine tuning he needs to do and get good track performance in any weather.

Fact is a stock 911 is not that great. You have to own a gt3 or gt3rs to be top dog out there. The C8 z51 is better than a stock 911.

I think the bmw took slightly better lines at some corners since why it got ahead more. I have never been to nür before but i have plenty years of kart racing. And the bmw in some corner's had slightly better line and cleaner exits
