got this turntable as a birthday present, I didn’t have any speakers so I bought some Sony sscs5 speakers on sale as an Xmas gift for myself after only hearing great things. I’m so new to this that I can’t figure out how to connect it to my new speakers, weather I need a specific cables or if I have to get an amplifier… any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you
The power off feature is ruining this for me. If left unused, you can no longer start the turntable unless you turn the main power on the back off and on again.
This is an attractive turntable. After I finished this video, I thought about a set of Nady SM-120 speakers that have a similar red woodgrain finish, so I might pair this turntable with those speakers in my den. However, for critical listening, I will stick with my SL-1200 clone paired with a Shure M97xE cartridge.
Bluetooth does exclude the necessity of cables, but it defeats the purpose of listening to a full analogue sound. On Bluetooth you have a one time analogue to digital conversion, then one time from digital to analogue within the Bluetooth speaker. So I mostly prefer direct cable connection to a stereo receiver.
I’m confused. The instructions say 1.5 grams, another guys video says 2.5 - 2.75, yours says 3.5. What should it be? I have the exact same turn table, or how do I find out?
I have the same TT and mine said 3.5g. It seems good at that weight, i haven’t been able to check the accuracy since I don’t have one of those small scales.
Enjoyed your review on this unit. Technology has finally got to a point where us Vinyl lovers dont have to a dance with a number of hookups. Nice presentation.

Must be luck you got wt. good enough so fast. Not the way to balance and set tracking force.
