Nice video! I have the Xiaomi Fengmi New Version with 2000 ansi lumens here and looks fantastic like this model. The advantage of your Formovie is the OS tha I dont have on the chinese version of Fengmi. And of course the brightness 2100 ansi vs 2000 of fengmi... so I am very happy with your new projector! Congrats! For me is the most beautiful design for UST laser projector. I like very much that straight lines and the texture of these type of projector and of course the short size too. Waiting for next videos!
Thank you for stopping by, yes I noticed that there are different versions of this projector, some are even THX certified. Yes you are right, the design is beautiful, very premium.
Is there an easy way to switch picture size? Example: 150 inch when sitting on my couch but 80" when I move and use my PC/windows to do work (powerpoints, Excell, ect) sitting close?
I bought this Wemax to replace my LG short throw, I can't figure out how to get the SPDIF to work simultaneously with the unit speakers - Also the Apple TV turns ON the Unit but it states it can't detect video signal from the HDMI, I tested all the ports but it only works on my old LG - I also can't figure out how to make it boot up to my Nintendo Switch, it always loads to the Android home screen which I never use - Annoying - Any idea how to fix any of these issues?
How's the keystoning? So far my experiment with projectors failed because I couldn't position the image, much at all. Can I move the picture up and down, sideways, etc.?
Hey buddy I bought same unit but I have an issues after I set up it works well my wifi connection is connected but after I turned off and unplugged the unit its says wifi connected but but internet if I'm using lan same issues.
Oh man those are hard decisions but I would go for this one, the built-in Android 9 OS makes things easier, I also like the smaller build, the picture looks good on both but I will make a comparison video and discuss in more detail.
@@JoelsterG4k Awesome thanks looking forward to that! I have a VAVA and just ordered the Nova for the smaller form factor and input lag assuming same image quality. Hope I won’t miss having 3D.
hey man ..I'm looking for my stand for VAVA chroma gonna get next week also have place to put my AV in , like cabinet stand ..do U know any pretty good quality made looking one & maybe under $200 to purchase please?
Hey Joel I have a budget of about €2500 I'm looking at the wemax nova at €1549 xgimi aura at €2200 and samsung LSP7T at €2100 what would you suggest? I was leaning towards the wemax nova for the price and invest in a decent Alr screen to go with it as I'm looking to replace my tv with it.
@@JoelsterG4k Thanks! I watched it earlier. It's really tempting, I'm only concerned with the warranty and what do if any issues arise after a year or two.

Yes the picture is sharp and colorful you will like it, an ALR screen would be the best option especially if you have ambient lights, you can also use a white screen in a dark room.
I recently got to see my friends hisense l5 short throw projector or laser tv whatever you call it. I fell in love! I recently did some remodeling and was able to set up a pretty sweet man cave- movie room. I got a nice 77 inch lg cx oled in there but after seeing the laser tv I’d love to have the option to set a projector up as well. Want 4k hdr but the hisense is so expensive. Is there better short throw projectors for the money? Is there one that offers decent performance and features for less than the hisense? I don’t need the best considering the projector wouldn’t be used as much as the tv unless I really like it of course . Any advice would be much appreciated. I got an idea that I can have a nice gaming set up with the oled then have a cool movie night set up with the projector. The projector can stay set up always and it’s will be in a very controlled environment light wise. Even in the day it will be almost pitch black.
Im not sure how much the Hisense projector is but I am very surprised how well this Wemax Nova performs, picture looks great even under some ambient light, Android 9 OS works great and it has game mode for gaming, I also have the VAVA 4k laser projector and I have many videos with it.
@@JoelsterG4k thanks for the reply buddy and I have been watching all your vids on these short throw projectors. Good stuff. The Hisense is maybe a little bit more expensive but it might be worth it. Right now they got the 2020 model on sale fort about the same as ur models. Might pull the trigger if I can talk my wife into it. Lol
Thanks for the video. Is the resolution truly 4K or not? Because some of the projectors are marked as 4K but when you observe closely they are actually not.

How many inches above the projector does it throw the image on the screen?
Is there an easy way to switch picture size? Example: 150 inch when sitting on my couch but 80" when I move and use my PC/windows to do work (powerpoints, Excell, ect) sitting close?
Yes, you either push or pull the projector to change the picture size.

It has a 4 point and 8 point keystone adjustment, no you can't move the whole picture up/down or sideways.
How far does it have to be from the wall to project 120 inches?
Are you planning or have you done a best of 2021 video? I am ready to buy but having a heck of a time deciding which I want.
I connected it to my xbox series X but it's only showing 1080P how do I get the 4K

Wow that Vava is huge
Great review. Do you know if the internal speakers of the projector can be connected as a center channel for 5.1 system? Thank you.
Thanks, no it doesn't have that option, they should do that, it would be perfect for that.
Hi, can i screen thru chromcast from netflix in my smartphone to ust?
No, it is blocked by Netflix, but you can use a firestick.
how loud it is compared to vava? does it also have high pitch noise apart from fan noise like vava?
Hey Joelster why not talk about fan or coil noise ?
People have been asking-
There is a very minimal fan noise, it is not noticeable nor distracting when playing movies or videos, there is no high pitch noise either.
Thank you 💖 for the video,,,,
Need a comparison between wemax nova vs vava 4k?
Off the hook amd off the chain
will this projector only work on the 3 screen sizes or can you adjust the size I have a 90 inch screen
Yes you can adjust it to different sizes.
UA-cam e Netflix voce usou alguma tv box ou algo do tipo?
can you inform if it is bivolt? 110w and 220w?
Did you ever get Netflix on the projector to work?
Greetings.
Which picture setting do you use for 4K HDR movies?
Thanks for the review. Would you rather keep this or the VAVA if it’s not for gaming at all?

How to buy this from where
How can I get it in Nigeria
How does this do with day light??
Picture quality drops on any projector under direct sunlight, I recorded this video under controlled daylight and the quality is fantastic.
