This is a revised video because I needed to add ALR Screen Day time comparison to Matte white screen. ALR is a solution to day time picture fade and fixed mounted screen prevents picture distortion. So Fixed mounted ALR screen is highly recommended. Hope this helps 👍 please like if this video was informative.
The ALR screen quality actually matters as well. Better screens allow for wider viewing angles as well as high gains. After I jumped on the UST 4k laser projector with ALR screen camp few years ago, I never looked back. TVs hardly impress me, unless they're 8k oleds that are at least 100inch, but they easily cost 10times as much. The only time I'd go to a cinema these days is to watch movies on IMAX screens, like Avatar 2. Otherwise I'm super happy with my 4yr old 100in UST setup
Great question, I'm a tech and most projectors you can but this one I don't see access door so you would need to remove the case. Any part can be replaced from my experience. lamp life is 30,000 hrs. in eco mode, other DLP projectors lamp is about 5,000hrs.
Hey man, have been watching your videos for years now. They have helped me many times and I wanted to thank you! I am currently replacing LEDs on a 75" Samsung 3D TV that Id REALLY like to save being that they aren't made anymore. My only issue is the reflector sheet around the LEDs melted in one spot. I'm talking about the first reflector sheet that goes down on the chassis, not the polarizer stack. I grabbed a reflector sheet out of a trashed LED monitor and it's not 100% match... the Samsung is a tiny bit glossier. Think this will be an issue? Would love any input, surely some of us have dealt with this before. Also, if you have ANY Samsung reflector sheets laying around, I'd be happy to purchase from you to make a patch. TV was made in 2013. Again, thanks for the help over the years!

Can you change the bulb yourself when it comes time?
