Thanks for the review, I like the Wemax a little better than the Vava but I would really like to have 3D.
Thanks for the review and comparison. I have a big bonus room that can handle a 100"-110" screen. Wemax is looking like the no-brainer choice for me. The price difference is almost enough to cover the cost of a 100" CLR screen. The built-in Android TV also simplifies the setup and keeps all the HDMI ports free for a UHD BD player, a game console and the ARC port.
You did not mention anything about the fan noise? Thanks for the comparison.
The vava (one on the right?), seemed to have more color range. The image with the light in the dark space was more yellow, more contrast, the outdoor scenes seemed to be less washed out. Might look different in person though (could be the footage). Looking forward to the future of this stuff, still gotta save up for it.
Inexplicably crazy sale on the Wemax Nova 4k projector until May 27, 2022. With code BBV1499 the price drops from $2700 to $1200! Even though I recently purchased a Fengmi R1 1080p projector (excellent so far), this Wemax deal was too good to pass up. My Nova should be delivered next Tuesday. I just hope mine doesn't suffer from the high pitched whine problem so many Novas seem to suffer from.

@@johndoe-dj3iy Absolutely delighted to be able to report no discernible coil whine. Of course, it could be my hearing but no one else has noted the whine either. Very relieved. Something of a crapshoot, isn't it?
I actually tried to buy a VAVA but they don’t deliver or ship to Canada. My other option was to order from Amazon but it would have cost an extra $740 for shipping so I went with the Wemax 🤷🏻♂️

This is the first UST I’ve ever seen that is priced at $1000. I would like to know if you have heard of this and ever seen one in your passing at trade shows? If so, what’s your thoughts? Thank you.
Hi, thanks for all the support brother, yes I have heard of it, there are 2 models, the O1 and the O1 pro, I will be reviewing them soon when they release the english OS version so stay tuned.
Actually i like the pic of Wemax little more then VAVA , Wemax the pic & colors more deeper pops & clear then VAVA in most scenes ...BUT this is NOT a fair comparing anyway VAVA is 2 years old Wemax just came out in 2021.... U should done comparing like between Wemax with that NEW BenQ just released instead this old VAVA ..is a REAL comparing would be Wemax with NEW VAVA CHROMA or maybe 2 VAVAS together, BUT THE REAL comparing is BETWEEN the VAVA CHROMA, NEW BENQ & This Wemax , that would be kick a-** comparing .. either way is good to know!
This was super useful. The Vava brightness content seemed to be tuned to the red direction - was that using a preset or were both tuned to behave identically? It was hard to tell how much of the "brightness" was actually just richer reds (warm?)
Please, is it worth spending twice as much and buying the Nexigo Aurora Pro?

Both perform great, VAVA is a bit brighter but Nova has better black levels and colors look more natural out of the box plus is a lot cheaper now so I would go for the Wemax.

You didn't do justice to the VAVA. The projector is so good that it even edged out the big boys like LG and Epson's USTs of its category. Wemax Nova is good,but not anywhere near VAVA UST 4K.

@@ajrowe5845 Because that's what it is.Big boys are trying to pay reviewers and bloggers to do biased comparisons. We the VAVA fans won't just sit there and allow this to happen.
Im just asking what specifically makes the VAVA worth a thousand more? 🤔 Bias or no Bias that's a lot of dough! Lol I have a large sound system so don't need the upgraded sound of the VAVA. The android built in seemed nice... smaller footprint. I'm seeing a lot of great things here are you sure you aren't just being close minded and fanboying the VAVA? I was really impressed with VAVA and was what I've been saving for. What do you think?
@@ajrowe5845 That dude really sounds like a fanboy, he couldn't explain why other than, "because that's what it is" 😆. I have both projectors and in this video I covered all pros and cons from both, I would go for the Wemax simply because of the lower price, they both perform the same but right now the Wemax is around $900 cheaper.

I play mostly single player games. I’ve seen your video for the benq tk700sti. But in this video both these projectors look sharper and crisper and the colors look better then the benq. I know you mentioned the benq was brighter. But honestly what do you think ? These two or the benq tk700sti?? Thanks Joelster!
Well, it all depends on the space you have, the BenQ TK700STi is 4k and it is sharp and colorful and it is better for gaming and 3D movies and it is also cheaper, but if you have a small room or don't have enough space then an UST laser projector is the best option.

The Wemax Nova looks identical to the Fengmi Cinema 4k are they?

Just purchased the VAVA for $1200 new. I don't know if they are coming out with a new projector, but at the price point I had to buy it.
That's a great price, I just sold mine for $1000, they do have the new Chroma tri-laser model.
Well by the time that i saw this video, WeMax has since increased the price on their Nova series, making it on par with the VAVA (currently on sale at 2500) 4k.

I want a UST. But is there a UST that has multi angle Keystone capability were I can move the image up and down, left to right so I can actually get it onto my screen without having to put the projector at weird angles? Are there any 4K projectors that do this? I’ve tried 3 different projectors and can’t find one that positions properly on my wall they all are way too high.

Idk too late already bought the Wemax. Guess I'll find out in a week 😅 lol I'm using a tiny 1080p battery portable projector. Anything is an upgrade at this point! I'll opt to save the $1k and dive into 4k UST there was a coupon for me too btw another $150 off. Kept it under 2k total with tax and prime shipping.

The lack of 3D makes the Wemax a non-starter for me.
How many inches above the projector does it project the image on the screen for 100 inches?
It’s odd I got the projector and it makes my 1080p screen size much bigger than my 4k display screen size.as in my 1080p spills over edge but 4k stays well within the size I set.also wemax is very dark in game mode but that’s easily fix with brightness setting in the game itself.fill all my issues with 4k hdr in game mode because it is endeed very dark.also it won’t switch to hdmi input automatically.will make you want to kick the heck out of it.very very annoying.

Bro help, what feels better for Warzone lg oled C1 or qn85 ? brightness , blooming and burn is not important to me, but responsiveness to control is important, I cant choose for ps5 😢
I would definitely recommend the LG Oled with game mode. I've owned both... LG Oled looks beautiful

Yes they are from the same family, there are some subtle differences but the Wemax is designed for US customers.

VAVA is definitely brighter, contrast are about the same on both.
