Hey guys, it's time for some more zombie-bashing fun! It's me, your friendly neighborhood zombie slayer, and today I'm jumping into the post-apocalyptic world of State of Decay 2. Grab your stamina snacks and settle in, because we're about to embark on a wild ride of flesh-eating undead, base-building, and survival tactics that are sure to engender many life-threatening near misses.

State of Decay is an open-world action-adventure survival game developed by Undead Labs and published by Microsoft Studios. Initially released in 2018 for XBox 360 and later for XBox One and PC. The game falls into the survival horror genre, blending elements of base-building, and RPG-style character progression. Players must scavenge for supplies, recruit survivors, and fend off hordes of zombies while navigating a dynamic and ever-changing world. 44:01 So keep an eye on weapons that have a filled out puzzle piece icon on the top right. That means they're equipped with some sort of muzzle device. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN GET PROFESSIONAL OR ADVANCED SUPPRESSORS. (or by getting lucky in a drop, but that is super rare.) Meaning, you can't craft them. Always always always check them.
54:22 If I can make a suggestion? Save the influence up, wait till you have enough to recruit ALL of the northern enclaves AND move to the new base, then use the radio command to spawn in new enclaves closer to the new base, otherwise you'll be shlepping back and forth all over the map.
9:28 right here to your left is a VERY good base. It allows you (with power) to create building materials out of the lumber in the mill, although it is also noisy.
54:33 Good call, all he does after you kill the Juggernaut is give you more of the same thing he JUST gave you, AND you can craft them yourself with the advanced biochem facility mod, provided you have a character that knows medicine and pathology.
12:56 agreed, but this is why you should have bought the .50 cal rifle the ammo trader had for sale. .50 is REALLY powerful in this game. 3 headshots will kill a juggernaut, so that combined with the "heavy" ammo press is potentially extremely powerful. Or similar results using the same ammo press with the M203 standalone grenade launcher. (Range is pretty limited on the grenades though, they're better for hoards than plague hearts.

10:24 yeah I wouldn't. 2 juggernauts? NOPE. I'd find a roof somewhere and thin out the crazy amount of zombies first. Remember that when the plague heart does it sploopy defense thing, it's like a screamer, basically calling all the zombies around it, or if there aren't that many, it spawns them in.
True true...sometimes I just hope to off the plague heart quick enough to explode all the plague zombies it calls in before they gank me. Usually works...sometimes not lol

45:58 They wont. that's part of a builder questline. Also I think your biggest mistake was trying to get into the car. (the animation of getting in and out gave them time to surround you.) Sometimes it's better to just leg it, and then turn around and blast em.
Yeah, I think I would have been okay if the vehicle wasn't so jacked up. I got in and the door just fell right off 😆
44:44 so the one star traits are pretty hit or miss. Soundproofing is *pretty good* but what's even better, in order, are, Driving, Sewing, Scrum Certification, and last literature (because of the extra prestige bonus). Don't even bother with stuff like acting or painting, waste of a skill slot if you ask me. Those are MY favorites anyways, your mileage may vary.
Reverse few times (6-10) into jugger with a car to destroy him if u dont want to fight him. But hit him only with back of your car never front :) and for the singing part? oh we love it dont you worry 😀
🤣 Hope so, cause it's a nervous habit that pops up on occasion lol And you can kill a juggernaut by reversing into him ?!?! I had no idea! Definitely gonna have to try that...And I think we now know how I'm losing my next character when I mess it up 😊

50:26 when you use the radio command I think it always spawns in an enclave that is associated with a questline, so that you have to finish that before they can be recruited. I may be mistaken though.
53:49 Be careful about using the advanced zombie stuff. Most of them will actually GIVE you a small amount of blood plague on use. So be mindful when and where you use it, or you may end up getting the death timer. (ask me how I know 🤣🤣)

6:50 I think you made a bit of a mistake here. Since the trader is hear and there is loot nearby, it's just basically free influence, if you don't want the found items.
I can see that. Sometimes I just don't want to get bogged down and I figure there's always influence to be had later. But yeah it was an easy offload point.
48:07 nah, I don't think so, I mean you can always trade for more materials, and that's what? 175 per rucksack? And all you need is ONE bed, so for 300 influence you could have an extra bed, verses 750 influence for the same result.
