it's really impressive how this music video manages to have both pinegrove's signature goofy-ness to it, while still being an incredibly touching & genuinely emotional experience i think this is probably one of my favourite pinegrove songs already, as well as one of my favourite music videos ever made
There is something really special about this one. It is almost 7 entire minutes, and yet when it ends I find myself hitting the replay button again and again and again
I love the background noises and production of this song so reminiscent of everything so far, but also so much of their newer sound it’s so great❤️❤️❤️
My girlfriend's dog passed away literally one hour (ago) before this video dropped. He was scheduled to be put down one hour from now, and he just went peacefully on his own. This all hit me really hard.
Wow a 6 minute pinegrove epic , great cinematography ,use of color and visual effects ,probably one of the best pine grove songs that kinda pulls you back to the first album ..just gorgeous
It was an old school b-side type material, maybe only live recordings online, used to be catchy but a bit more basic and stripped... here it see''s its full potential and thats nice to get finally after having the ear bug
listened to this a few times before watching the video. I was already feeling all the feelz before these beautiful images hit me too. I cried buckets. Been out for days with a toothache(old school Pinegrove fans will get that joke). or more likely the virus.. waiting on my test results.. vaxxed and got the booster too.. The final section of the lyrics in this song hit me like a freight train. Evan and this band are really special. I think the slower tempo really makes this shine and glad they changed it drastically from the old Housesitting faster pace version. This feels like a modern masterpiece to me. - Justin
I thought this was some older song and my eyes popped when it said 2 days ago. Im in the middle of getting my first dog ever and this weirdly comes on recommended and my type of music. This may be a universal blessing.
This is a sheer cinematic masterpiece! The music with the visual brings me back to my childhood somehow! Purely magical… so happy to have stumbled upon your stuff on a random Friday night through some instagramming photographer’s page. 🫶🏽Love what you do!!
Stumbled across this gem, personally I tend to stay away from tending things, but your trending Pinegrove Shuffle definitely is something I wouldn't mind doing. Hope to see you guys in ATX 🥰
It’s so still, how’d you do that? You settled down my habitat. Downhill, through the speed trap and the agitated aftermath. When across the state, is gone and dilapidated~ The wheel froze and it sounded like cymbals… The birds exploded off the eve~ I read my name and I scream like a kettle… Metabolise the memory. When across the state, is gone and dilapidated and it feels a little bit empty… A riddle of empathy. ~ Instrumental ~ In the morning I’ll go, through the cold but not alone… Did I forget? My teacher says… The precipice, the precedent. The depressing question of our time… Of CivilWarLand, in Bas Decline. I wanna see the present tense… In retrospect… The monument… Been through benthic tides and vandalised. Before my eyes… Before I die… Never forget, the t-shirt says with no mask on. Thanks 😊
I heard this band 5 or so days ago. John Mayer shared one of their other songs. The singer reminds me of Ben Gibbard and the Decemberists. I really love this song.
incredible song as expected pinegrove never misses but this video also unexpectedly brought tears to my eyes a beautiful work of art thank you for sharing

Can't wait to see you in Houston in April. Had tickets to see you at Bonnaroo the past two years, but we know how that worked out. I'm glad I waited as this show should be considerably more intimate.

9/11 was a horrible terror attack by foreign religious extremists that murdered 2,977 and injured thousands more. Belittling a 9/11 shirt while crying that someone is not wearing an enforced-for-years yet proven useless mask is a staggering ignorance of the world, not "savage".

I have literally never heard a song from these guys that wasn't terrific
Hairpin was kinda boring

I love when I can hear the ghosts of past Pinegrove songs in a new Pinegrove song. Heard Hairpin a TON in this one
SAME
Yes, I hear rhythms reminiscent of portal too!
same vocal melody!
The vocal melody of the the second half/precipice is totally a hairpin turn callback
this was "house-sitting," a song from before cardinal. you can still find the recording at a house show on yt or the pinegrove band site archives.
I cannot get over 2:00 - 2:30 those damn riffs are intoxicating
totally not me taking my hands off the wheel while I'm driving down the highway to play the drums for this part
This might be the best song y’all have made, on repeat.

It really balances that classic PG twee visual style with the anguish and seriousness of the subject matter and imagery
Yesss it was super emotional for me as well 💙
So sick pinegrove always has the sweetest guitar riffs
There is something really special about this one. It is almost 7 entire minutes, and yet when it ends I find myself hitting the replay button again and again and again

I can't wait for summer to go for a walk in the woods or by the sea while listening to this
