Pinegrove is just one of those special bands to where once you start listening to them you question where they've been all your life

really is like that, i had only heard old friends before and really liked it but a few weeks ago listened to their latest album and now im under their spell 😂 have listened to them all week, my new favorite band!

Megans bass isn't just brilliant timing but also with such a magnificent tone. She lifts the band even further for sure.

I feel like trying to constantly pick is easier than when you have to take pauses while also singing for me personally. It's steady. But the string skipping is pretty crazy
@@philgmguitar4856 he seemed to do it halfed for parts when i saw them live in boston. was a simplified strum pattern but gave the whole song a minimal vibe it was sweet. I like that everytime they play a song a little diff or sing a little diff. theyre spectacular.
This band has literally kept me going through so much hardship, through losing friends and family members, they have even brought me to some friends before!! I can’t thank them enough. Cant wait to see you in August!!!

Does anyone else remember what/where they were the first time they heard pinegrove? I was in the kitchen and my old roommate showered my the schyukyll session of old friends. It felt life changing then and even more also now

PG’s live versions have always just had a certain oomph that the album versions haven’t had. they’re really a “live” band, and it’s so fun to see them preform!!!!

Wow I haven’t listened to these guys since high school but this showed up in my recommended. Seeing as I’m back in my hometown after a shitty year of university, this couldn’t be a better time to see this. Time to find myself again this spring.
Commenting from the night pg announced Zack would be closing out his chapter in the band. This video so highlights his craft. Look at him doing his thing back there!! What a gnarly drummer, amazing dude and social organizer, and soon-to-be dad. This music is incredible and I'll be jamming to pg until the next world comes. Fucking love pinegrove.

To anyone who's as obsessed with this band as much as I am, or even just liked this video a lot, please click the link in the description so you can go watch the full episode of this session. They play a lot of the new songs and there's a great interview too. They play Habitat as the closer and it sounds soooo good it made me tear up. It's pretty much the only way to hear/watch them play fantastic studio quality live versions of some of the new songs from 11:11 it you don't wanna miss it.

This has gotta be a tricky song to play live. Hard to make it sound full like the album does. They have a lot of good dynamics with their instruments and singing and also good attenuation

Not one iffy track on any of their 5 albums. For me easily the most talented band I have heard in years. Ethan is for me light years ahead in talent when compared to artists such as Ed Sheeran and the like. Hope he and the band get the success they truly deserve.

@@sabjee1734 I was trying to get over the fact that in my opinion Ethan is a far more accomplished songwriter and musician than big names such as Ed Sheeran who for some unknown reason has become a huge multi millionaire on a handful of quite mundane songs yet Ethan and the band remain relatively unknown in the UK and Europe.
