#pinegrove
I experience real emotional pain reckoning with the possibility that I might never see them live. No other music has ever made me feel and think this deeply.
theyll be back
This has been me the past couple months I got into them too late i hope they do come back 🤞
They are too young to call it quits. - Old jam band guy
Occasionally, you're fortunate enough to stumble upon artists that offset the discomfort of your most diificult moments. Pinegrove are one of those artists. Thank you.
Absolutely couldn't agree more! They're definitely a gem
I couldn’t have said it any better 🙏
lucky to have artists that make you feel good with music, pinegrove is one of them
Rings to Intrepid to Cadmium is just a magical run of music
Pinegrove became the best band in America and nobody realized or acknowledged it
The right people did. We did.
@@jonas5699 Nice! Props!
i vote this as the best comment!
Right there with you!
Absolutely agree. Tight dynamics and rhythm. Instrumentation using steel and banjo and interesting chords. Great diction

lol, you beat me to this by like 15 minutes.
@@uberphreak huzzah!! 🤣
Я искал тебя
Damn they really blew up. When I saw them 7 years ago it was like 20 of us lol.
seven years is a long time to build a fan base
I'll Miss You Forever.
Nandi jumping around and being excited by the music swelling is the most joy-inducing thing to watch ever
My favorite part of the show for sure
Darkness and Rings from this show are some of this band's best work.
When I was getting into Pinegrove, these two never stuck with me. Hearing them live in this concert, they seriously bring tears to my eyes.
They where so into it
It’s been a long time since I’ve heard/seen a modern rock band take flight like this. I was starting to think this kinda magic was a thing of the past. This feels like finding the pixie dust again.
Old Friends still makes me cry all these years later. What a song, what a band.
Yep love that song
anyone from montclair will understand, driving to mills or eagle rock every night of summer and screaming Angelina really makes up some of the best moments of my life and makes me proud to have grown up where i did. pinegrove connects me to home like no other band ever will
i really hope this isn't the end for you guys but if it is, then thanks for all the great music. I can't adequately express what your music means to me
The greatest new band of my lifetime
if you ever come back, in years or decades, we'll be waiting
You got me teary eyed at 8am. You'll be missed while you're gone, but I can't wait to see what you guys do next, musically and otherwise
montclair and elsewhere!
Same here. Sucks that the drummer left
@@BuckeyesFan487 The good news is drummers are probably the easiest replacements. I don't believe he contributed towards the writing of the music anyway. I'm guessing they can just plug someone else in and you won't notice the difference.
@@lf2334 the difference is that Evan (The singer) and Zack (The drummer) are the only two core members of the band. Without Zack, Pinegrove isn’t the same
@@BuckeyesFan487 I feel like that's an assumption you're making unless you're one of the other band members? Technically, you're right. I'm not sure where you're getting the info that the band isn't the same musically without him though.
I've watched this countless times now and that lapsteel solo and little licks throughout on light on is cry inducingly beautiful.
Can't explain why but this music and lyrics move me so fucking much. This is greatness.
Aphasia has been my favorite song ever since I heard it when I was 16 years old. I’m 23 now, and hearing everyone screaming my favorite piece of music made me cry my eyes out. One day, I hope to see this live ❤🩵
I need the vinyl of this show like I need to breathe
this light on version has me crying omfg
Easily in my top 10 favorite bands.
Wait I just discovered pinegrove this week and have been listening to this nonstop on Spotify only to realize that they broke up :’) damn
I can’t ever listen to Aphasia, Size of the moon or old friends without losing myself in the emotions and crying, this band never leaves my rotation even with the powerful emotional ties with their songs. Thank you Pinegrove
@@Supermoneygang12 lmao yeah
Built a whole ass world in my head listening to those songs haha
you guys really are the pride and joy of the town. driving to eagle rock blasting pinegrove was the quintessential montclair high school experience
hell yeah, as is walking down Ridgewood Ave on a clear night listening to “size of the moon”
You make me wish I was from your town. You have something special for sure
Man, I love this band so much
I discovered this band a couple of years ago and they have slowly become one of my favorites. It will be one of my biggest regrets not seeing them live when I had the chance. I really hope they perform again so I can experience this magic live.
I love these guys. I hope they can get back together and tour again
This band never released a bad song, let alone a bad album. It may have been short, but boy was it sweet!
I don't think we've heard the last from Pinegrove. Levine left the band, but I think that Evan is planning to continue at some point in the future.
@@zmongi1 I think it's way too silly to take a break right when you are blowing up. These guys could do a whole American tour and sell it out fast.
@@charliervryou take a break when you need to. and the band wasn't "blowing up". they barely broke even their entire career and they made their masterpiece (and most expensive record, "Marigold") and then Covid hit and they couldn't tour to support it and lost their ass on the album. they own the label more for that album and "11:11" (which didn't fair as well in sales even with touring) than most bands could hope to recoup in 5 or 6 years. so making another album adding to that debt would have been a dumb financial decision. that plus Evan wanted to get his degree and he's not getting any younger, the time was right to take a break and reset. do other stuff they all love, start families, etc. touring is a hard life. and for a band of introverts even harder. I'm glad they stopped for awhile. hopefully they'll be creatively driven to make another record one day. and if not, what they left behind is beautiful
@@taylorh4480 Yeah, bet it wasn't an easy choice at all. Being a man in your late 20's-mid thirties with no safety net regarding your livelihood is a helluva cross to burden. I think them struggling is why a lot of us are able to connect so easily with their music.
rings will never fail to make me cry. im so grateful for this band.
24:59 The audience's cheer dies down so fast for being a NJ show; so wholesome that they're more interested in singing along than lingering on the lyric's nearness.

Thank you for everything, Pinegrove. We love you.
Christ… Doesn’t get any better than this. Sad that they won’t be touring for a while but super glad I saw them live. There aren’t many bands that are actually better live than their recorded material but these are/were definitely one.
All great artists sound better live.
You have to consider the evolution of a song, as well. In the studio, a song is really only in it's juvenile form. It's been written, tweaked, practiced, but it has yet to be performed live. To mature, to develop, to evolve into something closer to it's true potential, it has to be performed. So, a studio version of a track is really like a rough draft. Good artists, good songs, they always reach a sophistication with age. I can't think of a single artist that guides my life whose sound I prefer better in the studio.
@@kristinhess2280 I can definitely think of some artists that I prefer in the studio, but the common trait between them is that usually live performances can sometimes lack some of the fullness that a studio version provides. But majority of my favorite artists absolute peak is live on a stage.
What about a song that has been played and toured on a bunch?@@kristinhess2280
I was blessed to be at this show, for my birthday!! A life changing experience.
I’ll never understand how a band can be this good
Pinegrove X you are a class band. I love old friends. Your a cross between Bob Dylan and kings of Leon. Love from Manchester England
I met my wife in 2020 amidst the pandemic. Even though we lived across state bounds… I drove every weekend just to see her until we got married. Each and every trip.. an hour and a half there and back I was pulled to listen to Pinegrove specifically. Y’all are cemented in my psyche forever and every listen reminds me of my soulmate. Thank you Pinegrove.
I went to this show and during old friends it look like Evan had tears in his eyes in the beginning of the song
Wow... this was filmed on my first birthday without my dad. I found Pinegrove in the last few months with my dad around. Pinegrove is definitely one of the bands i listened to after his passing. It got me through a lot of the emotions I was dealing with at the time. On long drives I take alone, making my way out to the mountains or forest to spend a few days in the fresh air, away from the city, I can't help but cry a little bit when I am surrounded by the beauty of nature and thoughts of my dad. I am glad to have caught Pinegrove in Los Angeles at one of the last shows. Thank you for filming this performance. Thank you for everything.
So sorry about your loss. I’m lost my dad in February of 2020 and I remember marigold really helped me through that era. It’s amazing how healing music can be.
I also lost my father recently (2022). Seeing the Pinedads on stage made me cry ugly tears. I miss my dad. He will always be a part of me. Seeing the love of other fathers makes me feel close to him again.
That riff in Dotted Line is too good 👌🏻
I’m from Brazil and I love this band. ❤
Exatamente@@andrefernandes9290
Spine tingling performance, I cant express how much I feel your music in my core. Come to Australia you will love it!
What a fucking sound. What a fucking band. Wow. What a performance. In awe.
Whoever did sound for this is amazing at their job
The only band that I can positively reminisce about my days growing up in NJ. And for that, I’m thankful.
40:57 Evan's dad in the background singing along with him just made my whole year
wow nandi rose!! unbelievable. end of an era thanks pinegrove for all the good tunes and the feels throughout my 20s. onwards!
It’s just so emotional for me to visit Pinegrove again and again. I don’t know if I’ll ever have a chance to see PG live because of my little town and little country and how the situation is now. But it’s always so wholesome to see live videos of them and the Pinenuts having a blast. Like everyone else, Pinegrove has saved my life over and over and I’ll forever be grateful for that. Recently met a guy who also likes Pinegrove as much as I do. Though now we’re half the world apart, four days of spending time with him, listening and having a Pinegrove carpool with him was sooooo much fun. So thank you for everything. You always, always bring joy to my, or our, lives.
Love you all so much, pinegrove will always be in my life - you've helped me get through a lot of hard times and every song means something different come every new phase in my life
Man, I played that CC kit a couple times! Thanks Zach! Thanks Another Michael for believing in me. Best tour I’ve ever been a part of. Professionals through and through. Terrific tour 2019
Still listening every single day three years later. No exaggeration. Thank you!
This is phenomenal. Thank you for everything you all gave and continue to give. Means the world to so many.
un-fucking-real. going back in time and going to this exact concert is on my bucket list
I’ll never forget seeing that tiny desk concert back in 2016 and thinking “holy shit these guys are gonna explode”.
“Light on”is such a special song to me, and I love the version here with the pinedads and Nandi. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors. Thank you so much for everything. Love y’all
The best to ever do it!
Probably my only regret in this concert was not bringing Nandi rose out for Angelina. The UA-cam video of their harmony on that is my favorite. Love everything this band does.
I’ll be honest, Peeling Off the Bark is usually a pretty middle of the road song for me, but this performance slaps. Damn
Goodness lord this goes so incredibly hard.
The extended version of Angelina is a special gift from this performance.
that guitar solo on Angelina......stellar
Just when you thought Angelina couldn’t get any better…
This is astonishing. What an incredible band. New discovery for me. One of the best bands I've ever heard. Certainly among the greatest of this century. Remarkable!
they might be the best band of all time for me. absolutely historical
Got my first tattoo cause of you guys and started a band cause of you as well. Fell in love with music. Thank you PG.
The end half of Darkness is one of the most powerful uses of changing the context of a vocal melody and fully transforming the way the melody hits to evoke a totally different emotion. Brilliant song writing!
I love this performance and watch it all the time. Thank you.
The live album has been on repeat since it came out and I’m just barley finding out there’s a recorded concert to go along with it lmao
retrouvaille: the joyful feeling when people who have not seen each other for a long time meet again
Incredible and euphoric performance; the Pinedads were amazing too - clear to see where the talent comes from! It was a privilege to see you in the UK last year. All the best to all members of the band on their respective next chapters x
Can't wait to see what you guys do next. Unreal seeing Nandi out there too with you guys. Hopefully we see you all soon!
how the fuck does this only have 28,000 views. It should have 28,000,000
Pinegrove 4ever
This was excellent. I first accidentally found you on the NPR Tiny Desk concert and was blown away by the emotional connection within the music and the quality of musicians. It was perfect. Never the less.. life itself brings changes and I KNOW something this good has a life of it's own too so there will be more greatness in time. It can't be stopped when there is greatness within. I'm really looking forward to what comes next!
the guitar solo during aphasia went absolutely crazy
Absolutely incredible. I’m brand new to this band and can’t wait to listen to everything. I also think that the filmmakers behind this did something special. Brian was one of my film professors a few years back and I have to say I’ve never met someone with such thoughtful and interesting insights into writing and directing. His creativity and passion are all over this project. Thank you Brian for bringing that passion into our classes and thank you Pinegrove for the incredible music!
This, this is art.
Holy fuck these guys are too good! Goosebumps!
crying at 7am, thank you Pinegrove... hope to be able to see y'all live again some day
Found this band from a UA-cam short and ever since then mabey a month or two I have to have my daily dose of this band!,😎👌🏼
insane show. One of the best bands of all time
I was really waiting for a live album from you guys and it definitely lived up to my expectations.
God, I love y’all. Thank you for helping me get to know myself.
Phenomenal concert footage. Excellent performance.
AHHHH SO GOOD. What else can one say.
I love you, guys!! Thank you for the beautiful music
it really makes sense that theyre from montclair, their songs fit the vibe of the place lmao
I was there! It was indeed a special evening
i love pinegrove
Fawk, say it ain't so. We need Pinegrove.
One of the absolute best performances I've seen, so glad they caught this on film and released it, gonna miss all of you!
Idek if they're ever going to come to Jakarta. But please if you guys have chance please come to Jakarta. Been loving you guys since 2017
Great stuff. Everyone should be so privileged to hear this band
Will forever cherish the moments Pinegrove was with me throughout the years.
Thanks for everything.
I. Can’t. Stop. Crying.
incredible. thank you montclair for giving us such great artists
Love you buddy, keep fighting the good fight. You are a fantastic musician. Come to Richmond.
Sad I missed the livestream am soo grateful it’s here now! 💚💚💚
Remarkable
Thank you guys for everything 😢
Pinedads+Nandi (Crushing it) Light On into Old Friends while driving through my old hometown 😭❤😭
This one is going on the favorite live album playlist for sure. When that solo hits in Angelina *chefs kiss*
