  • In our clinical activity, we use SensUS to understand how we need to manage labour in patients with difficulty in progression.
The automatic and reproducible measurements provided by the device allow us to decide whether and how to intervene in a very reliable manner. In particular, based on the foetal station measurements, we are in a position to decide when an operative vaginal delivery can be a viable option and appropriate, or when a caesarean cut is a safer option for the woman.
The main challenges that the SensUS technology has allowed to overcome essentially lie in the difficulty of having objective and reproducible assessments of the foetal station.
