As a inline-6 enthusiasts and owner of a 2JZ engine powered car im very excited for what Mazda has instore in the future for all drivers and automotive enthusiasts. Inline-6 turbocharged engine will be powerful and smooth perfectly balanced layout. Inline-6 engines produce a very distinctive engine induction & exhaust sound a smooth musical note music to the drivers ears. Its been decades 20 years ago since Japanese automakers Toyota & Nissan made their last 2JZ and RB inline-6 engines. This is Mazda gift for all of us a new inline straight 6 combustion engine to enjoy and embrace aging for the very last time before everything becomes all electrification. Thank you Mazda for caring and making the effort to bring back a inline-6 engine from Japan. The wait is finally over, Mazda turn a dream into a reality.

I now own a 22 Q7 and these interiors are absolutely on par with the Q7. I bought the CX-9 because of its ride quality and while owning one I received countless compliments of the ride quality as well. The only reason that I didn't buy another was that they made the back too small for my needs otherwise I would have saved myself a lot of money. @@BradWilson1969 You're most welcome, although I did not call you a name, I simply asked if you were daft. But considering your surprise that between the whiskey, theme park, and technology channels you subscribe to, the car review channel was the first to break news to you about...a car, I don't have to ask the question twice. There are very few, if any, "exclusive first looks" on UA-cam. If a new product by a major corporation is going to be released and they want to generate interest for it, they fly out UA-camrs and show them the product with presentations, walkarounds, demos, and then allow them to make a video about the new product and their experience at the press event. The creators are allowed to shoot and edit the video, but they're prohibited to release the content until a certain date and time (i.e. the video is embargoed). This is beneficial for both the brand and the content creators, because they have an agreement that every content creator that attended the event will post their "exclusive first look" on the day the embargo lifts, so all of a sudden a new product will be flooded across all of the car review/photographer/tech UA-cam channels at the same time. "Look babe, new Mazda CX-90 is on the trending page". So basically, it's not like ThrottleHouse is doing you or anyone a personal favor by going to a Mazda press event and making a video, and more like they're just advertising a vehicle to you on behalf of Mazda.
In Germany a fully loaded CX-60 costs (excluding taxes) 56k USD and a base X3 with a comparable powertrain costs 60k USD. The Mazda is bigger and the BMW has basically no features for that price. Looks good.
I'm definitely in the market for this in the next few years. Well, not this, but the CX-70, essentially a CX-90 with the 3rd row lopped off. Because I don't need a 3rd row. Do any of you four in here know what longitudinal engine means? Edit: I'm just going to quickly explain the two major impossibilities. And Mazda doesn't have a transmission for this engine in transverse/latitudinal form, which is again an impossible form for this engine in the first place.

Does it come with the B58 option?
😂
I didn’t do that well at school for the same reason… a universal Statement so many of us can truly appreciate.
I love that you both dressed up for Jean Jacket theme day!
I like these guys more than the other two Canadian guys.
Great to see you guys had a first peak at it. Although I'm nowhere near a market for one, I know there are alot of people I know who would be really interested in this.
Can't wait to see this drivetrain make its way to the new Mazda6. 😉🙂
Mazda 6 wagon with a manual on this platform would literally be the perfect car. Style, power and most likely reliability. One can dream.
God, I wish I could get any car that isn't a Miata or base model Kia in manual....
I'm sure there are options, but there aren't many.
They'd only probably make it if they think they can sell alot :/
I owned the prior model CX-9 but sat in these countless times when I had my oil changed at the dealership and I was amazed at how premium the interior is. Mazda's are underrated and one of the best bang for buck out there!
Gotta love the chemistry between Thomas & James! 😄
About time Mazda made a elegant classy car
Love it! And LOVE the “Inline 6” badge!
Anything larger than a CX-30 isn't my thing, but Mazda has really stepped up their game over the last decade to become the best build-quality vehicles in their segment.
The car looks just awesome in and out🔥🔥
I had a 2014,15,17 Mazda 3 and left to BMW and Mercedes when I started making good money. I now have a 21 AMG GLE and after my lease is over I’m thinking I’m going to this. Huge money saver and for the price range I think it’s top notch.
1:35 that "nice" from thomas 😆
and again at 1:50 haha was looking for someone to notice that lmao
Mazda is the brand most people sleep on. I used to own a Mazda 626 . I put well over 200k miles on it with no mechanical issues. They make very smooth and reliable cars…I’ll probably get the CX-90 if I don’t get a Carbon edition CX-9
First, looking at it as a picture, I thought it was a station wagon
The fact they never take notes is why I watch this show, I love you guys
Looks so much better then any BMW made today!
In your dreams
@@khalidbanchikh1568 Yes. In my dreams also.
Krásná, velká, luxusní "Mazdička" a ten motor. Super. Zamilovala jsem si CX-9 a tato CX-90 je ještě přitažlivější 😉👍
This is written with tons of love and respect for what you've done in your space. Sorry guys, this is subpar to the standard that you both have established for Extra Throttle House. CX70.... maybe.... whatever they called the stitching during the presentation.... I thought you would have put more focus into a car company that is trying to punch above its weight class like you do in your space.
Are the seats comfortable especially for long drives? I read reviews where the last three years of the CX - 9 were painful to sit in for long trips. Also, I noticed when you sat in the 2nd row your knees were digging into the front passenger seat. Yikes!
That’s absolutely beautiful 😻
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Mazda makes the best paint colors. Even their white and black paint colors look a step above the rest.
Of course you're the first to show me the SUV I've been waiting for all year. I should have known. Thank you!
Are you daft? It's an embargo, everybody posted a video about this car today.
@@ktakashismith The sports youtube channel I watch didn't post a video about it, nor did the whiskey channel or the theme park channels or the tech channels. Maybe I'm not subscribed to "everybody", so Throttle House was the first to show me this new car. Thank you for the name calling though. It says a lot about you as a person.
Honestly didn’t care about this car but watched it because of you guys
Put this engine into a hard-topped Miata and undercut Cayman.
The CX-70 is the most intriguing to me from Mazda. It could be a really awesome entry.
I'm currently a CX-5 owner, and this thing feels like a natural upgrade path. Unsure whether I'd want the sweet 3.3T I6, or the PHEV which uses the corporate 2.5 4-cylinder.
I love this so far. Yes outside is a bit Ho hun, especially for all the fuss they made about its design. But if it drives well and isn’t insanely priced, it’s for me!
That looks so gorgeous in your thumbnail
Guess it looks even better irl
That outfit you guys are wearing is pretty sharp
I want to see the instructions for cleaning a cloth dashboard.
Thomas subtly saying “nice” after 369lb-ft twice
I worked at the Mazda dealership, shuttling cars and customers for a few months. There was no money in it but I got to drive all the new Mazdas. My new CX5 is way better than I remember it. I’ll take a reliable engine over a BMW A N Y D A Y! I lived in Japan for two years.
Holy crap! It’s gorgeous! I am buying one ASAP!
Bought my daughters Mazda. They are like mini Porsches/Audis. Super nice inside. Not a ton of pep, but tight and good finishings
They need to put this drivetrain into the Mazda3 hatchback, that would be a serious Golf R competitor with a better interior.
I don’t think it would fit
The Mazda 3 hatchback has too many quality control problem they need to fix first. Squeaks, rattles, cheap plastic parts, software glitches...etc.
Nah it won’t fit into that shorter bonnet of Mazda3
Do any of you four in here know what longitudinal engine means?
Edit: I'm just going to quickly explain the two major impossibilities. Inline-6's are never transverse style; they can't fit when combined with a transaxle. And Mazda doesn't have a transmission for this engine in transverse/latitudinal form, which is again an impossible form for this engine in the first place.
@@vipermoon_ A transverse inline 6 is nothing new. Yet you say it's impossible...lol...oh okay. Go argue with Volvo and Land Rover and tell them it never happened.
Thomas said what I think a lot of us feel at the end…put performance where performance matters ***A Small/Light Car
Hope this comes to Europe!
I believe Europe is getting a CX-80! because Mazda knows Americans like big cars so they said the CX-70 and CX-90 for USA and the smaller and narrower CX-60 and CX-80 are for the rest of the world :)
Nope it won't. We are supposed to get CX 80 i.e. 7 seater version of CX 60
CX-60/80
i don’t understand how this video has so many views when the last three are literally gold
Really beautiful inside and out. I expect it will cost more than the cx9, but as long as it is significantly more than the cx9 then this is a big winner.
I need to know if it is with Petrol or Diesel engine. Please let me know
They should make a bonkers miata/mx5 with that engine
I really like Mazda. After driving an MX-5 RF rental a few times and really enjoying it I keep renting them. Mazda is onto something; solid interiors, great paint quality, AWD options, fun but easy to drive. If I didn't already have a corvette I'd get an MX-5 RF. If I ever need an affordable four seater I'd get a Mazda3 Hatchback AWD.
Mazda with the M logo doesn't look half bad.🤔
Im so jealous of that wooden interior thing in the middle, my new mazda3 hatch has piano black there and it smudges SOOO EASILY GAHHHH
This is the first time watching one of your videos and you convinced me with the great synergy you have even finishing each other sentences so naturally and the way you describe things. Nice work! Subscribed
It's been since...never...that I wanted a Mazda crossover. Good work 👏
