- Ever wondered how to use your Garmin watch for intervals? Have an interval workout you want to complete but not sure of the set up?
In this video I show you two ways of setting up intervals for your Garmin Fenix 6S watch. This can also be used with any other Garmin watches including the popular Forerunner series.
1. Through your watch in the run options
2. Through the Garmin Connect App to download onto your phone. (This is for more advanced routines).
Let me know if you find this useful as our last video for the Garmin Forerunner went down really well.

Thank you so much for this! I’ve had Garmin watches for five years and had no idea you could program them like this. Just about to try it out for the first time.
Easy, simple, clear, good video period I watched at 1.25 speed, used it on my Fenix 5S. About to go run!
thanks for the video. Can you show how to analyze your interval training later in the garmin connect? I would like to see each segment with the summary of it, target , actual etc.
Great video and very informative. I found my watch hard work 😀
Very helpful - thank you!
How to add a desired tempo for intervals run? For example I want to run 700m at 06:00 tempo and 300m at 04:45 tempo. Is this possible?
Hi, have you gorilla glass or sapphire version? Thanks
can I have my garmin on triathlon mode be setup for an interval run instead of just run?
So whenever I use the interval feature do I press the live button so that way it stops calculating my movement During the rest?
Don't worry about pausing the watch in the rest period. You'll be able to see your pace for the intervals in the Garmin Connect App after.
I created a custom work out on the phone and sent it to my watch. How do I find it? I have been in to every activity and then "work out'" but it's not there?
If you go into run and then workouts, you should be able to find it there 👍🏼
If you have headphones connected to your Garmin watch via bluetooth, can you hear the interval alerts on your headphones? Or are the alerts only heard from the watch itself?
Good question, I think you get feedback if they're connected to your watch! I don't often connect them to my watch, only my phone.
Yay! Thank you!
