    the white primer is about the bottom choice, smokey beige from rustoleum, or the 2x paint and primer. work really well. or art paint like kobra white gets deep dark blacks

      You can also use rustoleum 2x gloss black.. seems like TiO2 isn't the compound in the paint causing the permanent mark.

    • @krisknowlton5935
      @krisknowlton5935 2 роки тому

      Preston Griffin, I have both lasers and can tell you there is basically no difference in how you operate them except with the LaserMaster 2 you have to focus by turning the lens. On the pro version you adjust the whole laser head up or down to focus using a cylinder that is the right length. The pro version is worth the extra money if you can afford it. The big learning curve is the software and it isn't really that much. I bought LightBurn and am extremely happy with it. I still have my heart set on a 100 watt CO2 laser but I can't justify the cost right now so the LaserMaster 2Pro seemed like an excellent entry level laser.

    • @krisknowlton5935
      @krisknowlton5935 2 роки тому +3

      I use a simple method for framing anything I work on. First of all the laser must be fastened to the board it is sitting on. Step 1. Draw a square in LightBurn the size of your tile and put the square as a line layer. Step 2. Place a piece of cardboard (I use old cereal boxes) on your board in the appropriate place and thumb tacks it down so it cannot move. Step 3. Cut out the square you just made in LightBurn. Step 4. After you have cut the square out and removed the cut-out change your square in LightBurn to a tool path and be sure you do not move that square as it serves to outline your tile. Step 5. Put your artwork in that square. Step 6. Place the tile in the cut-out square in the cardboard. If you start from the home position every time with your laser the tile will be positioned perfectly every time. This method has worked perfect for me everytime.

      Paint is very important. In studying the recipes for various paints, I have found that most major / name brands contain approximately the same amount of Titanium Dioxide. @@michealcroes3377 Thank you for writing me Michael. Guess that's what I to will do. I will have to wait for refund from Amazon unless I win 🏆!! I'm also going to get a larger work bench. What I have made is nice. To tiny tho. So disappointing. I've got the blues baby 😔 Loved the tile engraving❣

      Yup. I've made memorial tiles for people. You can put a picture of the loved one on it with their birth date and death date. Cost? What ever the market will bear.

    Before we get all excited about running out and printing images on tile. You should realize that those images belong to someone else they are copyrighted and using them is against the law you are essentially stealing someone else's property
