I hate the LS500h one Lexus' worst products. The ES300h is a superior car honestly. They pump in this horrific fake engine noise through the speaker that you can't turn off in the LS. Over harsh bumps there's even a jittery feel despite it riding on air ride. ES was far smoother and quiter but nobody seems to understand or want to admit this
Great content my friend, I’ve been watching your channel for quite some time. Keep it up. Btw, for the 2016-now model year, 7 series all come in extended wheelbase 126 inch long. Same as 124 inch S class and 123 inch LS500.
I love how BMW does this parts sharing thing amongst their products. It makes everything compatible and upgradable. They never make engines and electronics they don’t back. I have a Escalade Ext and in a matter of months the nav system was no good ($300 to update with a DVD) the techs at the Cad dealerships were garbage. They told me the only fix for my mirror curb view was turn it off and don’t use it. Long story short, BMW backs their vehicles and products. They by far have one of the best luxury vehicle warranties I’ve seen.
@@TejanoScrewHead956 I got a 2022 BMW X7. Had it made from scratch and picked everything on it. I love it. It’s in the body shop rn because someone scratched my door.
Try and test drive an S560 if you can. That motor is incredibly responsive and surprisingly economical. It approaches 30mpg highway with the new 9 speed.
I've noticed that a used 740i are about the same price as a used 5 series (within the same year). I've driven both though, and think I actually prefer the 5 series. Hard deal to pass up though -- it's a lot of car that is a great deal because it depreciates like crazy.
@@MeynMotorGroup - Yeah, I can only speak to the 530e with the ADAPTIVE suspension and the 20-WAY adjustable seats. It was REALLY, REALLY, nice, man -- no joke. But the 5 series can drive and handle quite differently based on all the different suspension options -- so I can't speak to anything else. When I'm in the market for another car I'll test all the options out. I've heard some people say the m-sport suspension is too stiff for them though. I got to drive the 745e right after the 5 series and it was "meh", for me. I thought the 5 series was better, to be honest. I want one BAD. It was sooooo relaxing -- it's a total cruiser and great car to chill in. But still has respectable handling. I'm sure the adaptive suspension and 20 way seats had a lot to do with my impression of it though.
Oh I see I will def keep that in mind and yea usually best to stay away from anything with an M badge on it will just be over kill. Bro if you like it, go get it my friend
@@MeynMotorGroup - Thanks Kevin -- I hope to! I'm changing careers right now so I just have to be a bit patient. Can hardly wait though. Keep up the great work, man!
I love your reviews, especially your older luxury car reviews! Right now, I’ve been lucky enough to drive around in a 2008 Lexus ES 350 that I live driving, and although I do like Lexus, I’m with you and can’t be a fanboy because EVERY car has its strengths and weaknesses, regardless of make and model. Could you possibly review the current generation Range Rover L405 (full size 2013+) if you’re able to find one? That is probably my dream car and I’d love to see your take on it if you can get your hands on one. You’re the best, Kevin!
Thanks so much my friend so humbled to hear that. I def have a Range Rover 2013 and up planned! I really like Range Rovers and the way they drive but also the way they age. If you haven't already, please check out the 2014 Range Rover Sport review I did, but I will def do the big Rover as well. Thank you again!
I really want to I love that SUV. I just have no access to new BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, etc. So when this dealership got a 2020 740i I was all over it haha. Thanks again, I hope I can provide you with that review soon
Would you go this level of luxury barge or a Tesla model y? The autopilot is so tasty, hard to believe BMW still can't get that right. Ya the interior of a Tesla isn't as nice but it's silent and smooth.
Oh no I will never buy a Tesla one of the most soulless driving experiences I have ever had. I would take any of these full size sedans with any engine over a Tesla. But that's just my opinion if you like the driver less stuff than enjoy it. But it's actually not Tesla's technology it is the driver less tech from Mercedes they just programmed out the function where you have to put your hand on the wheel
Exhaust Sports Auto So i own a model s, and i just got it a couple days ago, and i personally think its absolutely monstrous to drive, its so fun. Its so responsive, and the acceleration is amazing, its insane. Also what was that abt the Mercedes self driving tech? Tesla was the first company that even considered self driving tech back in 2014, but idk.
Yes fun is relative I'm very happy to hear you are enjoying your ride. That's the most important thing, as long as you the consumer is happy, that's whats most important. Tesla makes a great first impression because they are very quick to respond but I do hope you continue to enjoy it for the duration of how long you keep it. Yes 2014 this was the same year the W222 S class came out. Tesla essentially borrowed the self driving tech from the S class in 2014 and programmed out the warning system that tells you to put your hand on the wheel. My source for this is from a person who worked at a Mercedes Benz dealership. But I didn't look into it much after but perhaps you can research it more
Thanks for your reviews of these luxury sedans. If you could choose between a 2017-2018 Genesis G90 or a 2017-2018 BMW 740i which would you choose? Same price and miles
Haha yea def don't sleep on the B58 but what's crazy is in the 440i it did not feel this quick, something about how they tuned the 7 series and the transmission is great. Thanks again for stopping by!
You will hate seeing that face if you own it after the warranty expires. I see this car as an endless money pit as it ages but will but a nice drive when it does work. It's a nice lease car in my opinion.
Hmm depends on if it is new or used and if you are leasing or financing. New, I guess the most bang for your buck with all the tech and stuff would be the Mercedes A class. BMWs new 228i looks pretty good as well. Only other option I can think of is like a used Acura ILX but honestly that car is trash you are better off with a Civic. Not a huge fan of the Lexus UX either. The Luxury compact segment is one of the worst in my opinion, you're better off with most mid-sized sedans. My recommendation is to go up one level instead of a 2 series get a 3 series, instead of a Lexus UX get a Lexus ES or something. Haha yea you're better off with a mid size. Look into the new Honda Accord it drives incredible. Less expensive options, the Kia K5 and Hyundai Sonata are phenomenal and come with a bunch of features kind of like an entry level Luxury car
@@MeynMotorGroup My dream midsize sedan is the new 2021 genesis G80, the new design is sexy and it's loaded with tech too bad I can't afford it maybe I'll wait a year for a price drop or something. Other options Im thinking about right now is 2017+ Mercedes e class see a couple for high 20k mid 30k. 2019 Volvo s60 or s90 t6 seems alright affordable great tech decent handling etc. But idk a Lexus gs or es is probably the safest choice to go with maintenance wise. Any recommendations? By bang for buck I meant around 40k been saving up awhile to gift myself lol

Thanks Kevin for this video. My opinion on this car grill is not a positive one: I prefer the smaller grill and I think it overexagerated to have the grills being stretched on the bonnet. It does not work for me. In fact I dont find this a good look. The headlighta look amazing but let down with this steroids grills that spoils the entire look. I also do not like the hokey stick look on the side of the car, it makes it look too exagerated and too desperate for my liking. These are the only two things that bother me too much. Other than that, it is a brilliant car interior, engine and the way it drives...
Haha yea I def hear you this design is not for everyone at all. I guess BMW mainly wanted to distinguish from the older model, 2016-2019 was kind of the last years of normal BMW design haha. This is mainly for showing off. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts I always enjoy hearing other people's thoughts on the appearance of cars especially controversial ones like this :)
Since this has the B58 engine, is this pick a more reliable model over the 750i with the 4.4L V8 engine? Or are there other electrical sensors that still fail even with going with the 740i model?
A flagship luxury sedan is probably the worst choice for reliability despite what engine it uses. These are only best as lease and dumps if one requires a reliable mode of transportation def stick to economy cars and base model versions of them
I love the face. I don't know, I just feel like this car has much more of an "executive" look to it than the previous gen. And the current ones are a mess, this is definitely the sweet spot.
Not a fan of the grill on that 7 series, but the more I see the 4 series, I have to admit it is starting to grow on me. It is very aggressive. I still think the previous generation looked far better though. Of course I didn't like the Lexus spindle grill at first either.
I can honestly see that 4 series is still taking time to grow on me but it is aggressive. Just shows how subjective styling can be so its just fun to hear different thoughts!
I wnjoted this video too for similar reasons I liked the previous one, these videos real do show that every car has it's own uniqueness and people shouldn't ridicule a person for the brand of car they have whether it's a Mercedes, Lexus, Chrysler, whatever. I'm watching the Lexus GS video so I'm catching up 😃
Absolutely! Every manufacturer has something unique to bring to the table. And there's hardly anything to complain about with these flagship cars just the tech can be overwhelming. Thanks again for watching
I put my opinions on your other video bro lol that’s how u know I got them all saved 😂 anyway I was saying bro this BMW has that big boss look not as luxury as a Mercedes S class but with the power I’m sure all the speed demons and 0-60 maniacs 😂🤣 would be satisfied me I’ll still take that Mercedes Benz S class my favorite German car maker growing up and always and I’m sure u would agree as u said as long as a good deal is in place and that warranty is attached 😎👊🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Managed to snag an identical one as a rental one time at enterprise and it was amazing. For the most part i just kept it in comfort plus and did highway driving. Can't say its quite as smooth or quiet as the S-Class but its pretty damn close. Back seat room is a little bit more than you would get in an s class as well. The one thing though i absolutely agree with what you said though was the lane keep. I had it going through the city and every time going through an intersection and the car would go over turning lane lines, it would think i was drifting out of lane and the car would try to pull right. But i eventually found out how to turn it off and it wasn't a problem anymore.
personally i dont like the whole design of this car especially with this wheel design , they look out of place ,classic design on a car that the only classic thing it has is the wood trim :D i agree with you , on this class theres is no better car at least new , but you cant tell that on 20 min videos so just go out there and own one of this land yatch's , get a lifetime warranty and watch it fall apart :D For me it will always be an LS500 with the presidential package or whatever its called with that fancy glass and all , i just love that type of details , i mean how often do you see glass on a frickin door card?
Yea these are the base wheels helps it ride really well but this car rides so good 19s or even 20s will be ok. I'm going to try and review an LS 500 TT V6 because I didn't like the hybrid much I think the regular LS500 will be good
1:39 this bmw would have been really good looking vehicle if they didnt put that piece of 💩 in front. Yes it looks prestige now, but it would look so even more if grill was normal, definitely prefer prefacelifted versions.
I feel like you don't roast cars as sharp as savage geese does, I don't know if you don't have enough weight in the business and need to maintain a good relationship with people who provided cars to you, or you are just super nice to everyone. I know savage geese would roast the grill and the exhaust tips all day. My point is, the comments you give on all cars are all most the same positiveness, and sometimes the video could be around 15 min as there are some repetitiveness if just driving and talk + B rolls. Hopefully I don't get you mad but just some honest opinions.
Looks are subjective. That's really the only place where Mark and I differ we are generations apart can't expect us to have the same tastes. Driving is all that matters people have eyes you can roast the looks or jack off to it doesnt really matter. Driving flagship cars, there's not much to complain about. I was going into the ML 350 thinking I was going to have to roast it. But I didn't have to. If you want to see roasting watch my Tesla video which nobody saw. Probably for the best. Or watch my Explorer ST review
Thanks brother. Yea most of these cars are so good, its not so much a roast session like people want them to be, but more so a description of what it's like to drive. There's not much to complain about anymore aside from the usual infotainment crap. Hell that's why you pay $100k for a car so you don't have to complain lol 😆
I’m not feeling this one, and I love BMW. I could eventually learn to like that grille. The more I take it in, the less it looks like prison bars in a penitentiary and eventually it has commanding baller appearance. But I really have to stare at it hard to get that out of it. The rear is forgettable and not well distinguished. The interior? Totally forgettable. Dark. Drab. Looks somewhat dated except for the gauges. My picks this order: 1. Lexus LS 2. Audi A8 3. BMW 7 4. Mercedes S. The Lexus wins for style, interior plushness, quality of materials, and reliability. Overall seems the best package. The Mercedes is obscene with its space age interior meets loose pillow living room of the 70’s look. The Audi and this BMW just gets lost in between. Neither is impressive this year.
They do look a bit dated but to be fair, living with one of these, the BMW will be a bit more easier wheras the Benz and Audi is just going for the all screen tesla look which is very here and now but perhaps BMW will age better? Who knows mostly personal preference
@@MeynMotorGroup so you actually believe these are reliable now? cause in a couple years that car will be the same priced as a new camry lol would be a steal. The older models were rolling time bombs after the warranty went out
Well reliable is all relative lol I probably should of said its a lot more reliable than they used to be there has been a conscious decision made at BMW to help make their cars last a bit longer. Again please don't buy something like this without a warranty lol. Not even Lexus because lexus parts are still expensive and they still use many electronics heck Hyundais and Kia have the same amount of sensors and cameras as these flagship cars so no matter what car you buy get a warranty cars aren't what they were like 15 years ago, much more complex now even if the drivetrain is reliable, cars are like laptops today
These high end cars are used like disposables by rich PPL and they upgrade to newer model quickly If buying opt for 40i engine those are way more reliable that other ones
That's just the way these premium cars are, depreciate like crazy. I think as long as you take care of them meticulously, and do a lot of your own routine maintenance work, they're a great value. Not a professional by any means, but I'd love to pick one up around 30k.

@@MeynMotorGroup They don't sell the 730i here in US unfortunately otherwise it would sell like hot cakes in the US.
I love the face. I don't know, I just feel like this car has much more of an "executive" look to it than the previous gen. And the current ones are a mess, this is definitely the sweet spot.
Thanks Kevin like I've said to you before I'd like the 2020 as a Alpina B7 :)
Haha yes I definitely do remember that I love the green color on the alpina b7!
@@MeynMotorGroup Yep and their blue is stunning too!
Blue is def great as well!
@@MeynMotorGroupExactly bro, always a pleasure
I put my opinions on your other video bro lol that’s how u know I got them all saved 😂 anyway I was saying bro this BMW has that big boss look not as luxury as a Mercedes S class but with the power I’m sure all the speed demons and 0-60 maniacs 😂🤣 would be satisfied me I’ll still take that Mercedes Benz S class my favorite German car maker growing up and always and I’m sure u would agree as u said as long as a good deal is in place and that warranty is attached 😎👊🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Haha yea I saw thanks again def agreed!
Exhaust Sports Auto Lol
Exhaust Sports Auto No problem bro
Exhaust Sports Auto Hey bro just remembered wow the Lexus Dealership got pretty much a brand new BMW wondered who’s traded that in lol
Oh that was the manager's car lol
The only way I’d get my monies worth on my Cadillac was if I worked on it myself.
personally i dont like the whole design of this car especially with this wheel design , they look out of place ,classic design on a car that the only classic thing it has is the wood trim :D i agree with you , on this class theres is no better car at least new , but you cant tell that on 20 min videos so just go out there and own one of this land yatch's , get a lifetime warranty and watch it fall apart :D
For me it will always be an LS500 with the presidential package or whatever its called with that fancy glass and all , i just love that type of details , i mean how often do you see glass on a frickin door card?
Yea these are the base wheels helps it ride really well but this car rides so good 19s or even 20s will be ok.
I'm going to try and review an LS 500 TT V6 because I didn't like the hybrid much I think the regular LS500 will be good
1:39 this bmw would have been really good looking vehicle if they didnt put that piece of 💩 in front. Yes it looks prestige now, but it would look so even more if grill was normal, definitely prefer prefacelifted versions.
Yo bro 👊🏾👍🏾👍🏾
First again my friend haha
Exhaust Sports Auto Yupp bro whenever I can make it I’m here u already know
Exhaust Sports Auto holler at u in a little after I watch the video to talk our car rap lol
You're really the best bro thank yoy
@@theodoreyoung8777 Absolutley bro haha looking forward to it like always
Why you say don’t even worry about it a lot, ? I mean stuff do matter to people
Because I love to trigger people
BMW looked better in the 1990s. This one is like a buck toothed beaver with that huge grill
Exhaust Sports Auto You always do a Great job bro and your the most down to earth car reviewer on Utube hands down 🏆
Thanks brother. Yea most of these cars are so good, its not so much a roast session like people want them to be, but more so a description of what it's like to drive.
There's not much to complain about anymore aside from the usual infotainment crap.
Hell that's why you pay $100k for a car so you don't have to complain lol 😆
Exhaust Sports Auto Lol that’s definitely true
I’m not feeling this one, and I love BMW. I could eventually learn to like that grille. The more I take it in, the less it looks like prison bars in a penitentiary and eventually it has commanding baller appearance. But I really have to stare at it hard to get that out of it. The rear is forgettable and not well distinguished. The interior? Totally forgettable. Dark. Drab. Looks somewhat dated except for the gauges. My picks this order:
1. Lexus LS
2. Audi A8
3. BMW 7
4. Mercedes S.
The Lexus wins for style, interior plushness, quality of materials, and reliability. Overall seems the best package. The Mercedes is obscene with its space age interior meets loose pillow living room of the 70’s look. The Audi and this BMW just gets lost in between. Neither is impressive this year.
Understandable!
Black seats and grey headliners in a 6 figure car. YIKES.
I didn't even notice, but then again that's subjective I really didn't care much
I feel like BMW interiors are kinda dated looking compared to the s class and a8
They do look a bit dated but to be fair, living with one of these, the BMW will be a bit more easier wheras the Benz and Audi is just going for the all screen tesla look which is very here and now but perhaps BMW will age better?
Why am i seeing these for less then 30k nd 80k miles ? Are these cars sh*t ?
These high end cars are used like disposables by rich PPL and they upgrade to newer model quickly
If buying opt for 40i engine those are way more reliable that other ones
That's just the way these premium cars are, depreciate like crazy. I think as long as you take care of them meticulously, and do a lot of your own routine maintenance work, they're a great value. Not a professional by any means, but I'd love to pick one up around 30k.
The grill for me works on the M sport models, on the luxury trim it looks ugly.
Understandable!
BMW keep getting ugly and more ugly, same as Benz.
The big toothy grille is ugly.
What about compared to the current generation? I think this is way better.
I thought BMWs didn't have Android auto until the summer
Could of swore they added it for 2020 model year cars
