I guess im asking the wrong place but does someone know of a way to get back into an Instagram account..? I stupidly lost the account password. I appreciate any assistance you can offer me!
@Allen Gustavo thanks so much for your reply. I found the site on google and I'm trying it out now. Looks like it's gonna take a while so I will get back to you later with my results.
Just watching your videos has given me the basics on how to do a normal service at home. Thanks alot and please keep uploading more videos based on the Ford ranger. Watching all the way from Zambia 🇿🇲
My 2015 PX XLT (3.2) Wouldn't prime with just turning the key on, I had to "bump" the starter for a seccond and then I could hear the fuel pump prime up. Just a heads up for people who may not be able to get the car running after a filter change. You should be able to hear the pump run as it's pretty loud when getting the air out of the system. Great video.
I have a 2014 3.2 XLT and its always a huge problem to get it to start after a filter change no matter how many times I try to prime it. I would open the injector rail and use a manual pump for about 2secs while someone is cranking the engine, only then the car would start. What do you really mean when you say you bump the starter ?
Just to clarify when I say bump the starter I mean crank the engine but only for a second, then stop. You should be able to hear the pump priming under the rear seat area
I have just done the fuel filter on my 3.2 litre PX2 Ranger and found the following. When dismantling the fuel filter although the tightening ring and the upper filter housing are marked the lower housing is not (not on mine anyway). This makes reassembly somewhat difficult as orientation of the components has to be reestablished. I did this by removing the filter & "O" ring and temporary sitting the filter back into place to check it was right. The next thing I found was that the "O" ring on the filter & the "O" ring on the filter housing has to be lubricated or it wont fit together easily. I also found I had to firmly press the two filter halves together so the tightening ring can be tightened properly.
@@TheInsightDistrict it seems like it is quite difficult to replace the glow plug. Maybe a video on injector service first would be better. Thanks a lot
Just replaced my 2 fuel filters Main ...5 microns ...as a PRIMARY Secondary.....2 Microns You need to cycle at least 4 x 30 seconds to get fuel up Runs like a charm I’m a wizard Genius level 35 today Cooked BBQ ...then put firepit on and got stuck into the MOONSHINE Thank you 😊
Just a general question, my ranger is almost due for its 200,000km service, what parts or service does this include besides oil, oilfilter, airfilter, fuel filter.
Thank you. I have a question. Being that the 3.2 ranger has a mechanical fuel pump that runs by the main timing chain. When you turn on the ignition, what creates the fuel pressure to fill the filter being that the engine is not running? Thanks
Thats a great question but unfortunately i dont have the answer to that, that question is a bit too technical for my knowledge, maybe someone else may be able to answer it
Replace the filter after the water sensor show water in the diesel filter. However couldn't find any trace of water on removal. Fit new filter after cleaning.Did the priming 5 times, start no problem.Run for 15 min, switch off, switch on.The light still shows water in the filter. When switch on, the light fuel and water, goes off in a couple of secs, start no problem. It doesn't come on when the engine is running. Could it be a sensor fault
I will have to look into the specifics, but if you put a multimeter onto the wires going into the mafs, when you accelerate it will produce a voltage it it's working correctly
@@TheInsightDistrict but how much voltage? I suspect it is not working good because when you startup the diesel smoke would kill you and it just does not have that kick anymore. Another headache is parts here In Barbados is do dam expensive, a new one is $565
Followed all.your instructions....primed 4 times and started for 20 secs and after that it will not start. I have ford ranger wildtrak 2.2 diesel Any recommendations?
I changed my fuel filter was a bastard to get the lid back on but eventually got it done. However the Ute started up then died and now won’t start and has a wrench on the dash. Yay!
Just following up on this. I’d not 100% connected one of the fuel lines which introduced air into the system. I’ve since fixed my little f@*k up and all is well. The cap is a bastard to twist on but the advice with some lubricant around the O-ring helped and also on the thread.
One of mine came off, and never went back on. They just lock the hose on to prevent it from accidentally coming off. Ive never had an issue with mine, i wouldnt stress too much about it
Ive worked diesels since i was 17,certifiedmechanic since i was 18, always a good idea to fill the filtermwith diesel tomremove the air, injectorsmdont like air,lol and makes for a better prime on the system, air is not good!!!!!😂😂😂😂

Thanks so much, you saved my ass :D
@Kyree Rylan happy to help xD
Thank you for your video. I did exactly as you said and had no problems, thank you once again.
You're welcome!

thanks for the info.
by "bumping" the starter, do you mean attempt to start it then just stop when the engine is about to crank?

good find, what did you lubricate it with?
@@TheInsightDistrict fuel itself.
Thanks for doing this video. It took 10 minutes with no issues , Cheers Mate❤❤❤
Glad it helped
Great video mate👏🏽
Thanks 👍
Thanks for the video. If you do a coolant flush for a ford ranger could you put up a video for it . It would be greatly appreciate
sure thing, I will hopefully do one in the future but i will add this to the list of videos i need to make, thanks for the suggestion
Thanks for the video. Can you make a video on how to change ford ranger glow plug
I'll have a look into it and see what I can do

Hey mate do you mind doing a video on the harmonic balancer removal and install?
unfortunately i dont have my ranger anymore

Just a general question, my ranger is almost due for its 200,000km service, what parts or service does this include besides oil, oilfilter, airfilter, fuel filter.
it should have a maintenance schedule in your servicing handbook
Could you replace the filter in place or should you remove it completely like you did in the video
find what works best for you
Ilove this video this is same for ford raptor ❤️❤️❤️
glad it helped
as e pours it on the ground haha - cheers for the vid - helpflul

There is a separate electric lift pump in the fuel tank.
Can you do the valve check and adjustment?
ill have a look into it in the future , but i think that might be a little bit out of my skillset
Sure.
Not required, this engine has hydraulic valve lash adjusters.
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! This was great help.
im really happy it helped, its why i do the videos
What happened if priming the fuel does not work.. How do we fix this problem
priming should work, it may just take a couple of attempts
Very helpful mate. Thanks.
No problem 👍

Yes its quiet possible to be a faulty sensor
It comes on briefly so that you know the circuit is working, this is normal.
Is there any risk of air locking the fuel system?
nah, you just purge the system before starting it if your concerned
I am from Barbados and have a 2014 maZda bt50 which is basically the same setup. How can I be sure that my maf is good?

sounds like your fuel lines might have been put back the wrong way, maybe make sure that you put them on the way that they came off

I agree. It works best when you soak the filter and add a little bit of diesel to the housing before assembly. Starts very easy after priming.
Thanks for the video which would be great if the dog was locked in the laundry next time.
Dont guessmhe sees the arrows,lol😂😂😂😂😂😂
Who's giving the commentary, the guy OR the dog ?
a bit of both really

God I hate these stupid cartridge filters. Give me a spin on filter any day.
