Another banger! Very nice work. I've learned so much from you over the years, but parts 1 and 2 of this Synthwave from Scratch have been a real eye-opener regarding my workflow in Bitwig. Thanks again for showing us how it's done!
I really enjoy the tracks from scratch that you share - and having a soft spot for synthwave, I've especially enjoyed these last two videos. The tracks sound terrific and the creation process is really interesting. Ty for sharing.
This has so much of the Jan Hammer sound from the incredible music he created for Miami Vice. What's even more astounding is that he did so 40 years ago with technology that was so primitive compared to what we have today! Your body of work speaks for itself. If I am mentioning your work in relation to Hammer's, that is quite a compliment. You ARE that good!
Thank you! I've been a fan of Jan Hammer since I was a kid. I've used a lot of the same sounds he used, at least regarding the DX7/FM sounds, which are pretty much exactly the same. I only wish I had Jan's synth skills and theory of jazz/fusion etc, but I can at least somewhat emulate the same vibe of the Miami Vice stuff.
@@stateazure You do and it's a pleasure to listen to. It brings me back to those great years when Miami Vice was the hottest (pun intended) show on television and Hammer's music was a HUGE part of that. I have his entire collection of soundtracks from the show at ultra high quality. I love all your work, keep it coming my friend!
I've only found you recently but what a find and privilege you have been. So much feeling into the music that is there and not simply learned. I wish I had that. Bravo! Perhaps a darksynth track from scratch next to go out there even more. Early Purturbator, Cassetter, Cloud Battallion, Dan Terminus, Deadlife, King Stepehen. I bet you could destroy in this sound. Just so thankful for finding you.
Hi, I was reading an article online article you did in MEDIUM '21. In it you mention working on Modular Works V. I see MW 1 & 2 on Apple Music, but no #3, or 4. Are they available? Have you put any to CD? Cheers, E (the fella that missed the white powder comment in your studio tour)
Hey! I don't think I ever officially released 3 - 5 except via Bandcamp, instead I released 'Selected Modular Works I and II'. Not sure why I did it that way.

how each instrument, note, fx improves the song all the time. I have to turn back many times before sounds good enough, good one!
Loving this, Pat!!!! 🤩
I like it. It's really good! The vibe is really interesting, and it's pleasant to listen to

Fun to see the ingredients of assembly and creation for a possible final product...
Proper skills. Love this.

I pomyśleć, że rewolucję w elektronicznych keyboard zapoczątkował wcale nie Moog, tylko instrument Yamaha DX7!!!!
