Beautiful, I listened to this song and wrote a love letter to my beloved, tears appeared in my eyes and I became convinced of what is most important in life. May the good energy never leave you, my friend. 🥰
I already find it difficult to finish one track a month! How would you prevent all the tracks from sounding alike? How would you maintain quality? Do you use some kind of standard track format? How do you prevent from going hyper and not go on until the wee hours and then ruin your health? Does 'one track a day' include track concepts with basically several semi-random loops and basic fade in fade outs? How many hours a day would you spend on each track/groove on average?
1) It can easily happen that a lot of tracks sound too similar, I have to make a conscious effort to try and change/vary things from track to track, or for instance like today I decided to do a DnB track rather than ambient 2) Quality during FAWM isn't necessary, but I try and keep the quality to a good standard if I can. Enough FAWM practice over the years really helps with this, because you become so much faster at creating the tracks, as you get better/faster you have more time for quality 3) I use a track template, but it's very bare bones and just has some mastering FX to save me some time. So no, no real standard track format, I just start each from scratch 4) I usually work into the morning hours anyway. My best/creative period is between 3-6am or so, though I try and leave the studio before 5am. Health is fine, I sleep just as much as anyone else 5) The FAWM challenge is only really 1 track ever 2 days or so, but I'm actually doing 2-3 tracks a day sometimes at the moment. I do full arrangements, including fades and mixing/mastering 6) I'm only spending about 1-3 hours on each track and I'm trying to speed this up even more. In a day, I think at most, I'm spending up to 6-7 hours for 2-3 tracks.
I like these 'open-up process' vids... I always learn somthing cool, when I pay attention. Not sure if I'm ready to give up Reaper for BitWig yet, though. hehe Cheers!
Great video. I noticed you have an extensive list of gear used below the video. Everything, it seems, but the name of the DAW you were using, which is what I was trying to work out. I dunno...maybe BitWig? No idea.
Really enjoy your music, btw - any chance we can have another track using the Wavestate and Opsix modules? I'm ready to reserve a front-row ticket now!
@@jannpann4332 I used Studio One Pro for many years and really liked it, and I still use it for mastering thanks to the projects page, which Bitwig doesn't have. Ableton is a great DAW, I use it sometimes too, but I really prefer Bitwig for creating tracks.

I love Reaper, can't afford Bitwig.
Glorious
Brill! 💎👍👍
Just about to produce my first ambient tracks... So timely :-)
Very nice, great alternatives.
But I'm happy with my Strymon BigSky. My opinion, there is nothing that will beat the BigSky ✌
Heavenly
Bubbles. An alien moon where the air is only bubbles.

I'll do another at some point, I'm currently waiting for my Modwave desktop kit to arrive, so I'll probably do one once I have that@@philipford6183

What's your FAWM handle? I'll follow along (or I may already be and not know it).
Gorgeous stuff as per usual.
