I've been posting back to back comments. Obviously binge watching on your videos. Your kids are very well behaved and amazingly respectful especially inside the church.
You said that you are not Catholic, but I was moved by your daughter's gesture as she approached the altar she bowed down. She's very respectful. You should be very proud of your children. You may want to visit the Manila American Cemetery. It has a lot of history as well.
You mentioned you aren't catholics but I really admire what your daughter did 18:36 even when she doesn't practice the same religion as us. It just shows she respects and appreciate the diversity in culture and religion in all the places she has been. You raised your kids well.
Nice gesture for your child bowing at the Church altar. I'm a former southern baptist here in Tx, USA turned Catholic last Easter. Its nice to see your child doing the gesture as sign of respect. I wish I could visit Philippines sooner or later
Thank you for sharing Sita really made my heart melt when she bowed to the cross and folded her hands in prayer well done to you both for bringing your children up with so much respect for religion I'm not Christian but respect all religion's take care of yourselves my beautiful family
Thank you all for this very nice and very enjoyable video of Manila. And I think your video really showed Manila as the best city in Asia in terms of its genteel appeal and culture and history!
The boy got it right, using the spoon instead of the fork to scoop his food since most Filipino dishes are eaten with rice. He even mixed his To-Si-Log a little so he can get a little of everything with every scoop. The backside of the fork is used to push the food into the spoon. Since this was filmed in January, you're probably elsewhere now but i'm hoping you get to feature in upcoming vlogs lechon. It's not a street food however, but it's our national dish. It's a whole pig roasted on an open fire & charcoal. There are variants; some just fry it, some just take the belly part and bake it in an oven-- most foreigners mistake those for the real one. Love your vlogs. I also saw the Binondo Chinatown trip, it was very well researched. By late afternoon you've eaten a lot. I saw a vlog of a couple of boys, they were walking there all day looking for food and by 4pm saw the welcome arch and realized they weren't even inside Chinatown yet.
❤ I love that you’re all very adventurous with food. Wifey got what we call a Pinakbet- which a veggie (squash not sweet potatoes and coconut cream not curry) dish but we use dried fish for umami. She would have loved the thing you call soup right behind it. That was Laswa- that’s more vegan. Just a mix of vegetables in season boiled (again it might have a dried shrimp for umami).
Beautiful family inside and out. I really admire you as a father and your partner. The kids is nice and good. Keep safe always in your travel. Thank you
Amazing how much culture you're exposing your kids to and they all seem pretty cool about it. Goes to show how well you raised them........kudos! Thanks for sharing your experience

I was so excited I googled when our local St. Augustine church was made. In Tucson Arizona our St. Augustine Church was founded in 1776. A couple hundred years later. How amazing! Thank you wonderful family for giving such amazing content and making me delve into some local history at the same time! I love your channel! Great content! Thank you so much!
Watching from Las Vegas NV USA, I am a new subscriber, love that you are enjoying the Philippines, I miss my motherland, can't wait to b there in July, enjoy, more power to your channel, take care always, continuous blessings to u and ur family. 😊✌🙏
That was Fun hanging with your family today in Manila! Do you remember the cross streets where you had that Silog Breakfast? *I'm going back to Manila in September for the first time since I left at 4yo..I'm 56..So Exciting..Thank You to Your Family.1✌🏾✨🌈😋
The taho is not only for snack but also considered a breakfast to go, these are already in the streets early morning yelling TAHO. The brown sauce used is called arnibal which is basically brown sugar, water and vanilla extract(which is optional), the thin version of the arnibal is used for the sagot gulaman a cold drink which you can also see in street food stalls they are either flavored vanilla or banana…if your looking for local veggie soup, go for the laswa which the lady served earlier, it is made with squash, okra, eggplant and string beans
Silog are considered as Filipino breakfast. They consist of a combination of entrée example PorkSiLog (Pork, Sinangag/garlic rice, itlog/egg) CornSiLog (Cornbeef, Sinangag/Garlic Rice, Itlog/Egg). Taho (soft tofu) also is know to be a breakfast food. Caramelize with syrup really good!
Also sanitation tip when eating at karenderyas, do not place your utensils on the table, sometimes, specially during busy hours, the people at the karenderya sometimes forget to clean the tables and so some mess are left behind by the previous customers. Or maybe sometimes they put soap on the towels used to clean the table and let it dry. So yeah. Don't trust public tables so easily, always clean your table by yourself with some of their napkins. The same is to be done to utensils used.

And obviously, Pinoys love their meat food or food with little bits of fish, shrimps, or meats.
