A woman (Angela Bell) is sent to pick up an object in a hidden container and deliver it to an unknown contact. The only thing she must not do, is look inside the container. A short film shot in 2020 in North York, Ontario. 1 actor, 1 camera man, using only a DJI Osmo Action and a RODE Video Micro Mic. You can create a short film using any camera- all you need is a story and creativity.

@@StephenBell_video I'm a filmmaker and artist. I went to school for animation. I don't have $$$ to buy a fancy and expensive dsrl camera. I'm trying to pick between DJI Osmo action camera or a Go pro 7 silver. Both are for $199 I think.

hey bell, i was thinking to buu dji action 4 for short films, should i go with it...because now its more updated with stabilization and colours. i have no other option becausemy budget is limited for this only. and what gimble sud i use for cinematic shorts. is dji pocket mobile good or dji action 4

I'm aiming to get an Action, especially now with the GoPro9 out. I was kinda hoping DJI was going to announced a competing cam but instead we got the Pocket2, Mini2, and Ronin2 series.
Surprised they updated the mini so quick- the action is totally worth it!

Yeah, but an Action2 would bankrupt me with all the updates DJI has released, and so quickly too. I only heard of each of them around a week before release. The OM4 only gave me a week and a half of notice.

Thanks for watching! We are shooting the sequel soon- I would always recommend the Osmo Action (hopefully they update it?!) as the skin tones are better on the Osmo Action than the GoPro
I would never have guessed this was from an Osmo Action, did you use the internal mic too? Also it looks like you managed to get a wider angle than I do with my OA - any tips for that or is it just the way you have added the crop bars make it look wider?

Hey, what fps did you shoot at? Doesn’t look very cinematic not enough motion blur.
Shot in 24 FPS, but the issue is the ND filters for this little cam as they interfere with the sensor and the fixed manual setting

did you use one nd filter or a couple? if so, what was it you used? reason i ask is im on a tight budget and thats the look i want for my film, if all else fails i will just ceni d it

No it wasn't used, only audio I took in, was from the rode video micro directly plugged in to the osmo action :)

For sure! I will be making an episode tonight on how to get cinematic settings on the Osmo Action: I shot in 24fps 1/50 SS, Rocksteady on/DeWarp/D-Cinelike Color - In Premiere I graded it (Will put up my LUTS soon) exported at 4k - 50 bit rate (CBR) - with a QT Gamma Compensation LUT applied. Check out Matti Haapoja's vid on this gamma lut. Cheers!

4k 24 fps / ND Filters with Rocksteady on (I would recommend turning it off though) and shutter of 1/50th. White balance of 5600k
