My husband lives with his, too. ME!!!! 23 yrs and counting. People have been calling me that for ALOT of years! Long before I even met my hubby. I have always been Neil's girl first.
I'm soon to be 68 and finally found my cinnamon girl it's been a rough life but things have taken a turn for the better for both of us and we will be happy for the rest of our lives.
They're dancing in their own way, and I wouldn't say there's anything wrong with dancing being part of an artistic act. Still, I agree for the most part. There's a lot of BS these days and not enough heart, soul and talent.
In memory of David Crosby, who passed away a few days ago. There he was, with Stephen Stills, Graham Nash and Neil Young. Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young were giving a rare performance of “Cinnamon Girl” at the 2000 Farm Aid concert, backed by Donald “Duck” Dunn on bass and Jim Keltner on drums. I can only envy those who were there at the show.
This, I think, was the first song of Neil's I ever heard and always loved it and his music. I remember always having to dancing to it at age 12 - 14 when local bands would cover it. Fun times so long ago.
Well, unless Dave found Jesus before he died then he is not doing very well right now. Please, read the Bible and make Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life before it's too late!
A staggering level of self-limitation afflicts so many listeners. Any genre. Folks hear a homogenized studio version of one song and 30 years later they act as if the song and artist has been entombed in ice until the moment they heard something different. Once the new version is heard, they get angry and dismissive like they walked on their spouse and best friend in bed! Dark Star, Jerry!!! Dark Star........
*News flash: Thousands of people paid him to come and hear what's on the album, not his warped rendition because he's bored on the road from doing it the same way each night. Neil's a cajillionaire. He has no idea about the "common" man. And notice Stills doesn't have 100 picks on his boom stand.
If you want the record listen to the record. If you go to a gig or concert you have to accept it's live, he/ they will play it the way they want to and for me that's why you go to a gig.
The best part? David standing still in place with a big grin on his face yet still moving back and forth to the groove. History taking place right here towards the end of their Long Run.
I'm here in 2024! I was born in 1976... I wish most days that it was 1956! Would have been amazing to be 20 years old in the 60's or 70's! Guess I'm an old soul that wishes life hadn't gotten so complicated and crazy! This music will live forever!
@@urbanarborist1160 born in 51 Saw Hendrix, Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Kinks, Grand Funk ( the best of them all) and many more. We kept tabs on what shows we attended Great time to grow up
I saw them on this tour at the Schott; best concert that I ever saw. Each person played songs from their previous bands. Crosby played 8 miles high; Stills, for what it’s worth; Nash- bus stop from the Hollies; Young, broken arrow from Buffalo Springfield, plus many of their CSNY hits- nearly 3 spectacular hours! I heard a young man in front of me who had been crabbing with his father about the concert, when they hit one of their famous harmonies. He blurted out “These guys can SING’
My experience with CSN&Y is a bit of an oddity. I saw all four of them, but never together in only two shows...the Stills-Young Band at the world famous Fox Theater and Crosby & Nash at Atlanta's Symphony Hall. Never saw any of them as solo acts either. How did that happen? I have no explanation.
THANKS FOR SHARING THAT ABOUT THE CONCERT AT THE SCHOTT!!! Id have loved seeing that I'm here in 614 too ... got to see them so many years ago ... RIP DAVID CROSBY
@Pete Myers - Holy cow. That would have been really a great show to see. I liked all those songs and the bands they were in.They have so many, together and by each. Saw CSN..., CN,...,Y...and...S. It was frustrating not getting to see all four together.
This is wonderful! And thanks to Neil Young for writing this song, to Duck Dunn on bass and Jim Keltner, ever-present in rock and under-recognized on drums.
Bliss. Flawless. Nash always wants the world to enjoy every note as much as he does. Oh, dear - David - nothing will ever be the same without you. Enjoy your peace. I am 81 and live in England.
These artists are proof that musicians don't stop making art do they?! Even for what's set in a template! Newborn son 83 days living is hearing this with his pop :D

Brilliant. Neil and Steve cranking the guitar and the vocal harmonies soar. Neil alone could get the energy with Crazy Horse. But those soaring harmonies take the song to another level.
I've been a fan from Buffalo Springfield days, seen neil at least 7 times, they are and always have one h ll of a bunch of talented guys....keep on rocking.

Their music left such a mark on me. When I hear it today at 58 years old, it takes me back to when I was about 16 and life was so easy. Good times and good memories.
Listen to Neils comment before Southern Man on 4 way street. "Were gonna play this one real slow tonight." Neil loves to squeeze every note out of his guitar.
One of the best bridges of all time (2:54) "I need another chance! You see, your baby loves to dance!" Just pulls you on into the instrumental .... and ultimately right back into the inevitable return of that great, powerful lick!
Neil Young produced the finest live album ever=Live Rust! Jethro Tull's Bursting Out comes pretty close though. (but they were Heavy Metal....ask Metallica)
Love this song takes me way back to my first new car I bought for myself, a cinnamon colored Camero. I was that girl or so I thought. We just had the best music . I love it being here for us like an old friend.
You're kidding, right? This out-of-tune, lumbering, hack job of a version is not even comparable to any version done with Crazy Horse and by the look on Neil's face, I think he would agree.
Steve Stills and Neil Young playing together. It's why Neil joined with Stephen to form Buffalo Springfield, and it's why Neil joined CSN: to play with Stephen.

The guitar interplay between Stills and Young is awesome!!!
The way Neil approached Stills, both jamming, as good as it gets!
They have working relationships going back to Buffalo Springfield.
This is what concerts used to be…no dancing, no lip syncing, no gimmicks. Just pure heart, soul, and talent.
They're dancing in their own way, and I wouldn't say there's anything wrong with dancing being part of an artistic act. Still, I agree for the most part. There's a lot of BS these days and not enough heart, soul and talent.

Cinnamon Girl done by Neil Young and backed by CSN, can't get much better than that, what a great version of that song
Do no forget Duck Dunn.
