I hope that you are just being sarcastic and not a troll and rude but if you honestly do not know I will do my best to enlighten you. Adam is one of the greatest god damn knife throwers out there. So he knows all about projectiles and their trajectories. Again if this comment was just made as a joke then I apologize for my over the top explanation of something that you already know. If it is not a joke comment then I would please ask that you be a little bit more civil to those just trying to share their enjoyment of Jorge's work.
A true carpenter never messes with precision tools, they completely rely on themselves. :) And with precision tools I simply mean machines that make it easier for you to be precise and on point. Not something like a ruler, where you still have to measure things. I'm a layman, but I'm sure you understand what I mean.
I love Joerg so much. So positive and smiley about everything. He even made jokes about past events like, him being accused of teaching terrorism. Shrugging them off as if they're nothing. He's awesome.

Joerg, have you ever considered trying an instrument themed weapon? I think it'd be a good challenge to create a keyboard in which each key fires the weapon. Even just a few octaves of keys would be impressive
Make the same exact crossbow (same dimensions and mechanisms as well as similar size bolts) but do it with premium materials and power tools. Then do a side by side comparison of their abilities. The battle of beauty vs the beast! P.S. maybe even do basic polish the new one to really drive home how nice it looks in comparison
Something about you and all the fun you have in your videos is just so wholesome and great. When I watch your videos, I can always count on them to put a smile on my face. Keep up the good work Joerg :)
If some person went around there and saw the wall of that shelter it could think that he has some anger management issues, despite he's always very relaxed and always laughing
You showing how you build slingshots and other weapons is what got me to watching The Slingshot Channel in the first place. Please show the building part more often, Joerg. Great vid :)
The world as we know is gone, the gov and the civilisation are not existing anymore. You build a crossbow. After a while you come accross an other guy. He also built Joerg Sprewes Crossbow. You decide to let him go xD
I think it has its own unique beauty. Anything made from natures harvest works for me. You can really appreciate the simplicity of the design as it progresses through the build. Would be interesting to see the bolts with flint tips! Loved it :)
make something to go fishing :) so it has to have a rope, so u can get the fish back, has to go fast and straight in the water, has to have a lot of force because i think the water will stop it a little? it has to be really strong, in case u want to catch a really big fish, if it doesn't die immediately that it does not pull of your string when it trys to escape.
Crossows are made out of iron (the important part) Yours are made out of wood and shoot as well as the iron once... You are a crazy man... But i love your videos.... p.s Please start wearing a helmet and better with a visier...

Qwertycal A newspaper that focuses on opinion pieces and such. They have a reputation for saying anything to make a story, regardless of whether they have the facts
Joerg, would you ever try building a launcher that fires "the whole bullet", à la the turrets from Portal 2? Perhaps using snap caps instead of live ammunition for safety, of course :)
GuyKappe i think live caps are also illegal in germany if you use them at home or anywhere else besides a legal place where you can shot them.... maybe like a shooting range
German law handles the projectile as a chunk of lead, so you are allowed to have them, but for live rounds you have to get a permit wich also allows you to own guns, but it is very complicated...
THIS! This is exactly what i hate in post-apocalyptic/zombie movies and scenarios. MAKE SOME FUCKING WEAPONS! Even a shitty wooden long pickaxe is is better than no weapons!!
I know in old days they used nails to drill holes by twisting them into the wood. I have an old antique hand operated drill. Not sure of the age but it's made with all metal an still works great today. Can't beat the quality of the old hand tools they made an I think it's because they used better carbon in the metal. I also have two bigger hand operated drills, similar to type they used to build cabins with to make holes an put wooden dowels in to lock the beams together. Great cross bow idea Joerg. Love the video.
i've always though bow and crossbow championships should be done by sending the contestants in a forest without anything but basic tools and let them build their bows, crossbows, arrows and bolts themselves and afterwards let them shoot with them and give them points only for that. bows and crossbows are ancient weapons that's why in competitions it should also be a part of competing. guns are modern weapons, those should be as modern and good as possible. but shooting composite crossbows and those ridiculously technical bows for competition has very little to do with actual archery. in ancient times an archer used a piece of wood and some string to shoot pointy sticks at the enemy. what we call archery today doesnt resemble it at very much to be fair olympic fencing is also rubbish
I actually adore builds like this, using the bare minimum and making something good enough to survive in certain senarios with, it's a pretty interesting thing to me.
Another Great video! I enjoyed watching you build that crossbow and bolts. You've inspired me to get up today and have a go at something like that too! Thanks!

I don't know if this is the difference between American and German but it always surprises and impresses me how much of the work Joerg does with hand tools.
The Slingshot Channel Survival Kit; A knife, paracord and rubber! Maybe you could make a rubber powered fire starter? Brilliant as always, Joerg! I always enjoy seeing what you've come up with.
Amazing craftsman skills as usual Sir. Your design is simple and effective, great for anyone who wants to try crafting for themselves. Always a delight and your smile and laugh can warm even the coldest heart. I'm really glad to find an amazing channel as this. I think the no power tools rule is a little dishonest here, as I think Joerg's muscles are classed as power tools under German law
Agreed. Joerg smacking ballistic gel is like hitting it with a hydraulic press.
Thick, solid and relatively straight. That's *you*

For some reason, I'm an extra big fan of this particular weapon. I for one would love to see more videos with it.
Anyone else find his woodworking very interesting to watch
No

Welcome to the Slingshot Channel. This is a twig cross bow, LET ME SHOW YOU IT'S FEATURES!
One of the few UA-cam videos I watched without skipping any part.. Please keep showing us how you build your stuff it's so relaxing and interesting..
In a SHTF situation, i can see lots of people making their way to Germany with rubber bands in hand. Seeking custom made weapons and a safe haven lol.
I've never seen that used as an acronym... Lol
I love Joerg so much. So positive and smiley about everything. He even made jokes about past events like, him being accused of teaching terrorism. Shrugging them off as if they're nothing. He's awesome.
8:19 I like how he has random arrows stuck in the wall.
They're the ones that won't come out without breaking, I guess.
You should be lucky to only see the arrows and not the intruders that were shot with them. The last thing they heared was Jörg laughing.
@Lucas Kane The last thing they heard was probably: "Let me show you its features!"
Potato, Potato previous Vic. I mean test shots
I read this and looked up at exactly that moment. Thought you oughta know.

Hey
kiklkikl kekslkeksl cool story bro
Hey Joe u should start an apocalyptic series!💯
I love this channel. I can't even remember how long since I started watching. I love the projects this guy comes up with
Joerg, have you ever considered trying an instrument themed weapon? I think it'd be a good challenge to create a keyboard in which each key fires the weapon. Even just a few octaves of keys would be impressive
i want to see a saxophone blow gun.
CGS Creations
Or a crossbow/slingshot hidden in a guitar case thats fired by a trigger in the handle... Like in early Robert Rodriguez movies.
Or a trombone slingshot!!!
I'd love to see a rubber band based Stalin's Organ!

You're just so much fun to watch. I mean that. You really love what you do
You should make a shooter that is made entirely out of bone and uses bone shards as ammo. Badass! and gread vid as always, Joerg!
Your giddy delight when loading up for the test shot was marvelously infectious!
Truly masterful, great work and great video.

- don't destroy live tree

When you're called"The slingshot channel" but actually never make slingshots.
JK joerg love your job.
Great job of using what was just laying around the house and yard. You nailed the challenge.
You know something is realy dangerous when even Joerg take a step back.

Could you make a stationary crossbow that fires german flags?

Who wants flags?!
( Gets pelted with a flag roll and flies across the lawn. )

Why flags?
How about a Pickelhaube launcher? :D

Ash's Pikachu I'll just bend and stay that way
Ash's Pikachu those use the bending of the metal to store energy but joerg's uses rubber
i think it can flex (biegen)
he cold use both powers combined
When you have a simple design and sufficient energy available, all that remains to do is fine-tuning. Great video!

Why didn't you collab with an actual flintstone (casey neistat) in this video??

Jörgs post apocalyptic scenario logic : no power tools, but electric light.
Deniz 4514 a candle would be enough as well geez... or you can do it during the day time... the light had nothing to do with the project
Yes because a video where you cant see anything would be ideal to watch

You seem happiest doing this sort of thing rather than what your last few videos have been about. Back to the roots is good for the hearty laugh
5 lazy dailynews staff disliked because apparanetly Joerg is teaching how to make some good cheap terrorist weapons,,,
I don't know if this is the difference between American and German but it always surprises and impresses me how much of the work Joerg does with hand tools.

this crossbow turnt out so much better than i expected. i love it
I cant say how much i like this kind of videos. Where he actually shows how he made the weapon. :D
You are live on my birthday!!!! My birthday just got 1,000 times better, because of that!!😊
That triple edged bolt worked perfect on that bow. That thing is so powerful. I want one
Very impressive achievement to get those bolts flying so straight with such force!

The conclusion Joerg is that you are awesome....and amazingly talented
i love the videos in which you show all the process to make the bow. is awesome.
Miss seeing those clips of you making the stuff, nice to see them back.
