The wooden one is the best for many reasons! Two things I would love to see though: 1) change the blade to fire horizontally so it could slip between ribs in a battle situation; and 2) adapt it to use different blade sizes The first one would be the question I would like to see answered the most 👍 I love your channel and I am so glad I found it last week! Actually i think the reason of your outstanding success relies partly on the fact that you often build your weapons like a medieval man would. Plenty of wood and mechanic devices and as little modern technology as you can. Very fascinating. You call it problem solving, i'd call it engineering! Another magnificently crazy weapon made by Germany's favorite rubber-powered weaponsmith. I love ye Old School Slingshot Channel version. The others are also cool, but there is some... primal charm to this model.
Was always told the saw blade weapon idea in horror movies was an impracticable movie stunt which wouldn't work in real life... but here you demonstrate physics & a little ingenuity can make horror movie stunts into impressive reality. Really glad when you discuss safety measures. 1st made a slingshot powered golf ball launcher for physics class in high school. It had low friction metal bearing surfaces and enough force to knock a peg out of sand at about 20m. Peg was about 1/2 inch dowel 6in above sand 8in under sand in a large pale. since then i always appreciate when someone like yourself takes the time to demonstrate that these inventions features & prove they aren't toys.
Same here, the moment he said "hop-up" smiled lol. Although his is more of a hop-down to push the teeth in the right direction. I'm curious what the results would be if he flipped the blade and put the "nub" at the top, probably not much of a difference though I'd imagine.
This is my favorite video from The Slingshot Channel, ever!!! All 3 weapons are just awesome! Joerg you are an amazing engineer !!! I would love to see you doing an episode based on home invasion defensive system, creating “deadly” devices such as defensive arrow turrets, traps and other perimeter defensive devices that work automatically. And maybe get a sponsorship from Defense Games that are very known and played on android/ios (that are just crazy)!!! I’m sure they’d be happy to sponsor an episode! I can only imagine it would take you quite a bit of time to build a defense mechanism based on home made weapons and traps, but you would be one of the only if not the only youtuber to make real home perimeter defensive mechanical wooded weaponry system! But to do it, you cannot be alone, you would have to assemble your A Team! Many ideas of that kind of defensive devices can be done, some complicated others not so complicated, like: - arrow turrets that work with motion sensor (complicated) - net throw trap (from high position like a tree) or turret (a bit complicated), could be a taser net - classic hole trap hidden on soil with basic herb/branches disguise (easy but not too easy depending on hole’s depth ) - camera system surveillance (easy made with old smartphones phones or webcams and wifi rooters) - fake bomb/grenade bombarder drone that activates thanks to a motion detector and shots automatically on a designated area (medium difficulty because of the onboard releaser system that has to made then the activation and drone’s waypoints are easy to set and program) - self detector darts turret or sniper with fake poison or anesthetic solution to slow down or make sleep an invader (not so easy depending on location of the device that has to be close to the target to be effective, this could be a last front door defensive system) - fake sleeping gaz releaser activated by motion sensor or laser beam( easy...?) Maybe you have better and easier to build devices ideas, I mean you’re the pro, but this would be so epic to see, just taking maybe 3 defense ideas like one turret, one trap, and one passive/active surveillance set up to defend back entrance or front entrance specific perimeter. Of course all of these ideas would be to much to do.... or are they...?

Been watching a few of your videos and I love it when you say "let me show you some of its features" and you should make that into merchandise and I love your chuckle its a pure happy guttural chuckle you have definitely earnt a subscriber just because of that catch phrase and chuckle XD
Edit: you should try hunting with one of those things that would definitely make it easier to track the animal upon impact cause its gonna cause heavy bleeding and the 3rd design was by far superior in my opinion would be a great weapon once you work the kinks out
