In-depth Review, Walkaround, and Drive Of My 2000 F-350 7.3 Powerstroke Dually

  • I made this video back in March 2018 and finally got around to uploading it.
Here's my relatively new to me 2000 F-350 7.3. I purchased it in September 2016 after I sold my 2002 F-350. I was not intending to buy it but the price and mileage was too good to pass up.
I looked over this one throughly before I purchased it and it was evident that it hasn't been worked hard over it's life so far. I typically try to buy 100% stock trucks as well. This had 50,000 miles on it when I purchased it and I would consider it pretty low for a 2000.
I use it to pull my 16x6.5' landscaping trailer for my lawn business and occasionally haul tractors and equipment in the bed.
Since having made this video the only real change to the truck I have made is a new set of tires and besides that just general maintenance.
Thanks for watching! Please comment, rate, and subscribe!

I would hold onto that forever. The only change I would wish for would be a manual.

Looks like we’re twins man, I have the exact same truck but mine is 2wd, absolutely the best car I’ve ever owned, she’s just crossed 122,000 miles

Cool. Those 7.3 powerstroke are very good to haul with. Smart move.

It’s a amazing stock motor but have you ever drove a 6.4 or 6.7? Probably the best motors for daily driving once you delete them

The 7.3 PSD diesel was a joint venture between Navistar and Caterpillar. Cummings is not Dogde as Navistar is not Ford.
      Thank you.

Matthew Pate 6.4 is prob the worst motor ford ever made 6.7 is probably the best because it has a lot of power and good mpg

@@chasegibson4346 too much pollution shit on the 6.7. That’s mainly why everyone loves the 7.3

Great video. Get that air intake closed up so you’re pulling outside cold(er) air into your turbo. Cold air compresses better than warm air. Also look into the doodad mod to increase the air flow to your turbo.

1DirtyMutt Thanks! And thanks for the tip. I’m looking into purchasing the Ford/Donaldson AIS air box. It looks like a much better design and like it seals much better than the stock box. I’m looking to keep this truck pretty much stock and feel the AIS is probably the best option.

Bought both my cummins from LRA. Nice people to deal with for the most part. Probably going to go 7.3 or bulletproofed 6.0 next.

Nice truck, I have an 01 with almost 200k, I need those mirrors and lights.

Thanks. The mirrors are a great update over the stockers. I really realized how marginal the visibility is with the stock mirrors.

LOL, they are really loud. I think I'm gonna put a manual in mine. I have an old one that has a 5 speed that could use a rebuild. I hate automatic trucks.
Good find, thing is not even broke in.

Get rid of the ebpv system on the turbo before it leaks like a siv! And the stock intake is notorious for not being sealed. Enjoy the truck! Mine has 287,000 on her and going strong

I was told to do this a year ago. It gives me more boost, more power, better gas mileage.
