Sorry I been watching for a while an just realized I’ve never subscribed but like your content logged from sc hope all is well
Hell yea! Thanks for watching
Looks like y'all have as many yupon and gallberry in Louisiana as we do in Alabama.
My god we don’t have that crap growing around our trees here in Maine. Thank goodness for that. I can’t believe the shit growing around the stems.
The South...haha! It's like that everywhere down here!
Makes good skid road
Ground fall out from under u
Friend log loader still under ground
Awesome video and I was wondering how much r.p.m.'s does the cutting head have ??
This one turns 1100 RPM
@@CuttingEdgeLogging_Thomas that's fast and cool
Thomas why do you use a tracked cutter on flat ground 🤔 isn't the maintenance considerlbymore that a wheeled cutter?
Go watch the latest video to answer that question
hey so i have a question that i think you might have a answer to being a logger in US so basically im from the baltics Estonia to be precise i was wondering how does it figures out on the price and everything else like as i understand you need on this treelenght logging a cutter a skidder a prosessor and a loader with every piece of them costing lets say around 500k just easy to follow thats like 2.5 mil in equipment it might and will veri on the price but how does it bay off like we use the cut to length method and our harvester lets say 750k and a forwarder 500k like thats half the price thats 2 machines and 2 operators we can get 500m3 of timber cut and out for the trucks to haul out in a week with mid size machines and like the question is how does it make sense plus we get logs out of anything down to 2 inches or 5 cm on the small end and dont run over or make the logs muddy dirty or something honestly just wondering i love that big equipment you run
Great question, I’ll do a video this week about it
@@CuttingEdgeLogging_ThomasCool thanks that would be cool i really like the style you guys run but it like seems way too much equipment and like over all more expenses for the Same job
What type drone do you buy an how long does it take too learn
DJI Mavic Air 2
I wish you'd let me come to work for you and and drive a Skeeter
i prefer tracked skidders and larger feller buncher
Nice job filming and cutting . Do these trees go for lumber or pulp?
Pulp
Where y'all located? You only use that machine to cut everything? To bad that nice wood barely bigger than toothpicks. What's the biggest tree you ever cut. Could you lay across the stump?
You gonna sell some of that for saw logs? Looks like some decent stuff.
Blended pulp
Porfavor, pueden mostrar estos videos por lo menos subtitulados porque yo estoy en chile
Hey Thomas, How come ya'll don't have a forestry mulcher go thru ahead of the cutter to knock down the scrub
Cost
@@CuttingEdgeLogging_Thomas ...Really, gotta be cheaper than using the cutter which is a far costlier machine...
@@denisricher1349 not for the landowners. That would be an expense they would have to cover. They are being paid tonnage for the wood not the brush. An ideal situation would be if there was a market for fuel chips. You could set up a tub grinder and send it all. Unfortunately there isn't much of a market for it anymore.
need to post more logging
Dats Chopin cns wood
Nice block
Where ya cutting at?
Elizabeth area
Do y’all ever separate much chip-n-saw?
No
Awesome video and some nice drone footage! Tigercat really should have thought harder about the top of that cab...too much debris buildup. Keep up the great content!
go play video games this is real world
@@jessebrandt1710 haha!
How much log footage you guys move
We move 325-350 tons daily
Or what do you like to shoot for
Good shots, but those vines have to be super frustrating while trying to fight your way to the trees you want to remove. Nightmarish!! Tks for the time producing this video...
Do u need help I log in big hill
Saw is set to high needs to be set on the valve bank and the motor to much flow not enough pressure draws down to much by the sound anyway
Would it pay for you to mulch the under brush and trash?
No, just swat it to the side or cut it and roll on. There is so much you don’t touch, if you were mulching it would all get mulched wasting time, fuel and potential hardwood pulpwood one the clear cut.
No most definitely not
@@yearginclarke good
@@riclakriclak9326 "Good" what? Obviously you don't get paid to deal with brush...what are you even getting at? You trolling me or something?
Where are u out of .....an do u need any help😂
DeRidder Louisiana
You still in business with this crappie economy fuel prices must kill your profit
