Know what you mean about the rocks on the Gibb River Rd but they don’t seem to be as sharp edged on the Tanami Rd even though there are plenty of them there. Been to Wolfe Creek twice now, quite a beauty spot amongst so many others. There is another meteor site south of Alice Springs that is also worth a visit.

Can i give you a little tip, when driving on gravel roads - watch which way the wind is blowing the dust when a vehicle is driving toward you. If the dust is going to engulf you, pull right over on the opposite side of the road, stop and wait for the vehicle to pass. Will safe dust in the air filter and rock damage to your windscreen.
