  • It was hard not to have Wolf Creek, the movie, in our minds as we headed out to the Wolfe Creek Meteorite Crater. But boy are we glad we went to explore this magnificent place, the rugged and raw beauty was breathtaking!
Next, we headed to Mimbi Caves, a camping with Custodians site. This is truly a hidden gem of the Kimberley's.

Please let me acknowledge your respect for country and its traditional owners. Not every UA-cam traveller does but your positive approach is evident. Thank you.
Another great episode. So many beautiful places to see and enjoy. I've never been to Wolf Creek so your rim walk and early morning footage has inspired me to get up that way again.
    Thanks

Thanks mate that is a really nice thing to say. We love learning and hearing stories from the traditional owners, and it is important to us that our kids learn about their culture also. Highly recommend you taking a trip out there, it was hard to truly capture the sheer size of the crater. Such a magnificent spot!

Fabulous. I ran tours in the Kimberley around 1988 and took some people through Mimba a few times and Galeru. Have photos of a cross feature in the cave that was later destroyed. People would do their washing in the lake and there was an artist set up at one time doing sculptures. So glad it is now being looked after by the local aboriginals. Simon.

What a great job you had doing tours in the Kimberley's! Such a magnificent part of Australia. Oh that is a shame, sounds like people weren't being very respectful of the area. Certainly none of that going on any more 😊 Thanks for watching!

I stayed there with my family around when these events happened. I guess we were bloody lucky.
We were heading across from Alice and blew a head gasket on the way there, so we sounded like an old VW all the way across to Derby haha but the old Liquid Steel got us there.

Another great episode guys. The caves looked very interesting and it was fantastic you had your own little tour guide at the end. Amazing what you can learn from the younger generation. Safe travels.

Thanks Lee! The caves were very cool and it was fantastic having our " own" tour guide at the end. We had such an enjoyable day with Daysha, she was very knowledgeable about the area. The kids all had a ball playing together. Hope you had a great trip out to Broken Hill!

Can’t say I was impressed of wolf creek…. Interesting… but that’s it… Now we missed going to the Mimbi caves, couldn’t get on a tour at the time…. Now that place looks like making the journey back.
