    Developer here: Stationfall actively encourages you to mess with other players. Some characters (like Stranger) are purposely capped point wise with the intention that they need to prevent other players from scoring points. The asymmetric point caps are a common complaint because players don’t think to or don’t want to interfere with other players, but it’s a major part of the game. Also, though the chaos does increase at higher player counts, so does your chance of winning. At 6p your chance of winning doubles, and at 9p your chance of winning triples, so it’s not a crap shoot.

      Thats what I was also guessing. Thanks for clarifying. Also, a big congratulation for inventing this game, Andy! It is the most creative board game I ever played and one of my favourite ones of all time!

    If 6 players, don’t 2 players win? Great playthrough.

    This was a great stream to watch. I think Martin F voiced my concerns well; the chaos combined with a long game and long teach make this hard to get to the table. My group skews to medium and light games, and often, I find there are games I want to like more than I actually enjoy playing with my group. This is similar to Oath which shares the same limited action, kingmaking, and lack of control (card draw). Since I cannot get my group to play these, I get great joy out of watching them streamed. Thanks so much for making this video. Thumbs up!

    Thanks for the game! Thanks Martin F. for showing the downside of this game and discussing it, that's really illuminating. It's sometimes hard to get games that everyone in the group enjoys - and even though it's not fun to see somebody space out at the table for several hours or doing it, (nor should it be a goal of the channel) but Its really helpful for us here trying to figure out, hey is this a game for my group or not? as the hype of showcasing the cool thing can sometimes just be overpowering.

    This is a great game and engaging play to watch! I love heavy euros and I love to pivot into chaos as well. This is the "party game" I was looking for. The game obviously wasn't for Martin , but it definitely works for my group. This is a very unique puzzle given that you must have contingency plans for everything and cannot predict every other person's choices. It makes for some awesome complexity (much like life 🙂). Lastly, it's tough to beat the narrative you build with your friends as this game unfolds...

    Such a fun game, long and complex but so chaotic end emergent. I liked the playthrough and player interaction ...but half the time I honestly couldn't tell whose action it was with two guys being perpetually off camera and general lack of turn discipline.

    Seems like reference 3.6.1 makes a distinction between unused and possessed bribes. Therefore the double scoring of the “possessed” bribes for some characters would not include their original unused bribe.

    • @brachson

    Great play through! I think Medical is cool to have in the game, but can be one of the least interesting characters to have as a PC. Billionaire and Legal are my favs, but there are still a lot of characters I haven’t played. So much to explore and experiment with!

      Medical is fun because you are motivated to play God (the dossier even says as much). When you reveal you get a bludgeon so just start hitting people and reviving them.

    So at 3:37:00 can Edward activate Inspector? I mean if we're following the turn order isn't he supposed to activate first and then Bribe? So he wouldn't be able to activate the Inspector because they were still downed. Or am I missing something?

    I don't agree with the point that you cannot plan your turn, here. You always have one or two things that are beneficial to you, more than any other goal. And you can always focus on this one sector. When your turn nears, you can just look two sectors in a radius to see which character to activate in order to complete that goal the fastest. You should never have to wait more than 30 seconds per player around the table.

    crazy game

  • @pm71241
    @pm71241 Рік тому

    Both things can be a bad trait in games:
    * So much chaos that you have to replan a tactical move without any strategy every time the turn gets around to you (like Munchkin)
    * So multiplayer solitaire that all you are doing when it's not your turn is to wait for the others to execute their engine.
    Good games avoid both.
