Jon's card says "any other player". Not any non-exiled player. The rest of the game has been very specific to call out non-exile or not so... sorry Jon, that's a loss.
This is the best board game show since Tabletop with Will Wheaton ended. The camera isn't too far away from the table you can't see the game progress, and its a nice bonus that you have close up pop ups of the cards. Really appreciate it.
How, did they manage to turn this, semi-cooperative game that rewards selfish/antagonistic behavior into a less hostile board game than Mysterium, a game that is purely cooperative?
@@bigpapa1965 Probably referring to the time they played Mysterium on this channel and all they did was shout how dumb they all are, Mediums as well as the Ghost.

I still think the best way for a trailer to be a traitor is to constantly make noise and search for more cards. Then contribute to the crisis to “help”. Act like you aren’t getting the right cards. Always add more survivors to make food hard. Use cards to make the waste pile fill up. Etc
Quick tip, when you guys buy a outsiders card you don’t have to play it, it’s a card like the others, just let it stay on your hand xD no need to make noise to change it every time. :)
Adam should have used some food cards to increase his die rolls in the last round, to let him do more actions. Players are normally allowed to spend food tokens to do this, but Exiles have to spend the food cards from their hands.
@@KristoVaher Yeah it was a pretty sub optimal traitor turn, shoulda ate the food. Also probable needed to be less willing to contribute to the crisis's to increae presssure on other players. He was pretty set up for a final turn victory if he didn't attempt the betrayal to early. I have watched this video about 6 times and I still laugh. Because of this video I bought this game, played it many, many times and even reviewed it. This is the best board game video online barre none.
One of my favorite parts of DoW is that in base traitor rules, there -might- be a traitor but it's never guaranteed so you're never quite sure if you're looking for a bad guy or not.
In my mind, there was this idea that Sparky was either a) a cyborg, or b) actually a furry with the temperment of the Punisher. Were it not for mum, Sparky could've been the MVP. Great watch!
Best play to do as traitor in that situation. Move a person to each outside location. Search and make 4 noise. Head to the colony and eat all the food to increased a die value by 1. But yes a lot of people try to sabo near the end but that is never enough time, honestly as traitor you play to excile while flooding resoursed asap
@@TheFinalChapters The assumption is getting exiled early give you a chance to complete the new exile objective. But yeah generally if your trying to tank the game with eatting all food as well as a crisis spike you need to be the last player (which if your not last player on the final turn generally means your well set up to fully tank the game with also getting the first turn post crisis.
How to betray effectively: Rather than fight zombies, go to where people are, lure zombies there so slots are full, and then for every person there a zombie will just kill someone.

The Abandonded options are a bit weird It should be keep the baby, or get rid of the baby Keeping the Baby adds 5 zombies for its noise (no survivor added cuz the mother can feed it) Getting rid of the baby Reduces Morale by 1 because people would be upset
As much as I love the game, it is tonally inconsistent and doesn't go really all that far into the obvious things people would do in such a situation. Which, depending on your sensibilities is a good or bad thing.
Certainly, especially when you consider getting rid of the mother and keeping the baby makes little to no sense as is the worst of both worlds. It's not like 1 additional mouth to feed causes that much harm. It should be getting rid of both mother and father with the baby and loose 2 morale as a clearer difference between options ( the zombie numbers could be different too). x:x

You should look up both expansions then. I also love this game. The Long Night and Warring Colonies both bring a whole bunch of new optional rules, game mechanics, zombie types and survivors.
About the 25 minute mark, Adam auto plays the outsider card. Technically, you don't have to play outsider cards, you can just take them in to your hand, but the 'outsider1' isn't bad even in 'Too Many Mouths' since the extra searcher can be a huge thing early on. It's also a good traitor play, but then again most things are...
Yeah, I've seen people make this mistake a few times. I find it easiest to think of the cards in your hand as all just cards until you play them out, then they become items, events etc.
Quick rules clarification and a story. Okay, so you're not supposed to read the mechanical effects of Crossroads card choices along with the flavor text before making the choice. You're supposed to make your decision based solely on the flavor text. My group and I made that same mistake too and learned our mistake when I bought the app (as that's how it works with the app). By the way, definitely get the app. It adds ambient music, voice overs, and sometimes even sound effects. Well worth the small price, is completely optional, and is not intrusive to the experience. It simply enhances the game. Story time now! Okay, so I was playing with my normal group and we had not considered giving Sparky (the dog) a gun because, you know, it's a dog. A player looked over at me (the rules person in our group) and asked if there was actually a rule against it. I looked for a while but couldn't find any so they immediately gave the dog a gun. A whole back story quickly developed about how the dog was basically Rambo or John Wick. He was never meant to use a gun but he had a dark mysterious and violent past. He vowed never to use a gun again but the zombies came. So Sparky said "Yeah, I guess I'm back!" Every turn, that dog went around blasting zombies away as the group cheered him on. Then... He got hurt. We quickly gave that player pain killers the dog took them. Unfortunately, that triggered a Crossroads card and Sparky ended up addicted. We did our best but simply couldn't feed his addiction and, well, RIP Sparky.
Thank you all for an amazing time watching, honestly my week was crap but this did lift my spirits! Thank you for the amazing laughs and poor some seven eleven grease out for Rod.
I am only half way through of the playthrough so far, but I'd like to point out that the game is being made extra hard for the traitor (if there is one!) by playing with too much open information. Hands should be kept secret, search should be kept secret. If playing with too loose open hands about what cards you have then it is almost impossible to spike the crisis.
Oh my goodness… Rosie @ 1:55 🤣 so funny. You have to watch most of the video to truly appreciate it. Also the comments from the others afterwards so funny. I rewound like 4 times, it was so funny. I thought the game was going way too easy but that comment made it worth watching. Oh and that dog bugs me too :)
I understand there's no reason to comment on a 10 mth old video, but it should be noted that Outsider cards DO NOT have to be played if you gain one. They function as normal item cards and be held until the player voluntarily chooses to play them. Apart from desiring a better card (a good enough reason on its own), there's no reason to "fear" an Outsider card. Just choose NOT to play them.
SPOILER in terms of that whole traitor situation... The picture they use of Adam to show he's the traitor has the most hilariously and thematically perfect look of supreme smugness I can imagine.
