Put the 2007 back on the dyno to test the 472SXE 87mm turbine .90T4 Housing. We hit some road blocks but we picked some power and gained some cool data on the dyno!
That’s exactly the turbo my 5.9 has but with a 1.0 a/r at 5000ft elevation..supper laggy!! i switched from a aurora 5k (71mm) 1.0 and that thing spooled a lot better but had some durability issues, I just hope I find a 6.7 somewhere to swap it in..cuz I love them big singles!
Good stuff but real late turbo spooling but comes on hard when it does...I can see how turbo selection can be extremely expensive if you don't pick the one that fits your needs..thanks Josh

Excellent video! I'm excited to see the compounds and how it can give the best of both worlds even on a tired 300k mile 5.9. I love the stock vgt set up on my 6.7 but this does give me some inspiration to do a bigger single on it when it's time to replace it. What would you recommend for a stock fuel 6.7 with just tuning and a lift pump? Any huge benefit to second gen swap or would the factory 3rd gen manifold still be fine? Truck is an 08 with 182k miles.

@@horsetorquesdiesel starting to get into bracket racing, it’s a weekend warrior that gets beat on regularly. It doesn’t need good manners at all. Studs, valve springs and pushrods, big clutch, EFI, all the fun stuff
dude it is insane how much better a 6.7 spools singles I get my single 488/1.32 lit faster then that and it doesn't surge even when I lug it on locked 3-4 shifts
Ever used a 263 sxe charger in a twin setup before ? Truck is an 06 cclb 6 speed , have a manifold and new 263 sxe on it with a dirty old smarty tuner and a fass . Was thinking of adding a large ,side mount charger to make a twin setup like I made for my 12 valve . It's mainly a tow rig and would like to see 650ish safe ( I mean not super high egt) hp . And what do you think for cp3 and injectors. I had it on the dyno before and I'm around 500 right now

I would defiantly recommend the ones that come in the kit. There made for the kit so I would recommend using those

I've seen many 467.7 2nd Gen swapped 6.7's on stock fuel make good power and have good drive-ability...
I loved my 467.7 on my 6.7 even on stock fuel, just make sure to get an exhaust brake

Oooof that's high up there. I'd do a 467.7/83/.9 t4 it should be ok but I haven't ever experienced that this was tested at 5200

So I just bought a s472 and dual cp3 and got 120 injectors and efi am I going to make close to 800

No we use 7 to 7.5

Much laggier but the turbo is much tougher. My 369 had some durability issues
