WHat's yourfavorite version of Catwoman? Animations included!!
THE BATMAN which i just watched!
This one
It’s btwn Michelle and zoe 🤧
This one definitely but I also love Selina from the series Gotham they look similar. I love how Michelle Pfeiffer portrays this version she's sassy sly and flexible just like a cat ❤️
This one
I absolutely love Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman, her suit, the way she acts, everything about her is badass.
The whip adds a little something extra.
She is the the Hottest, when I was a kid had a big thing for her.
Any other actress playing Catwoman just doesn't compare the to Michelle's version!
I don't think you guys appreciated the genius of Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman. It was, back then, and remains even now, one of the very best comic-book performances ever, especially since it was coming from out of nowhere at the time. (Compare it against the only previous versions of Catwoman in the 60s from Lee Meriwether, Eartha Kitt and Julie Newmar.) Pfeiffer is nothing less than fantastic in this movie, and probably much better than the movie as a whole deserves.
100% agree... to watch Pfeiffer's performance is incredible... gives me chills seeing how deep she took that character... just in her eyes and performance is insane. I don't believe there will ever be another actress to portray cat woman that way.
She is Catwoman!! Meow.
The epic scene when she said meow and the store exploded they are talking im sad lol
Yeah they didn’t at all lol. She’s amazing
She is the best Catwoman.
The best Catwoman ever! You guys should see her behind-the-scenes clips using the whip! She was a fking natural!
The fact that she ACTUALLY knocked the heads off those mannequins…. floored! I LOVE the behind the scenes video. The shock from the production team…. Love.
She was taught how to use a whip by Antony De longis, a stuntman swordsman and whipmaster who taught many how to use a whip including Harrison Ford for his role as Indiana Jones.
@@Sean-fu7ui Yeah, Michelle Pfeiffer really put everything into playing this part. In addition to becoming skilled with the bull whip, the part where she put the bird in her mouth and then it flew out, that was a real bird and she really had it in her mouth. You probably already knew that since you watched the behind the scenes stuff but still, talk about committed. She was hands down the best part of the movie imo. a few months ago I actually happened to see her in a recent home video where she pulled out the bull whip and she was still badass with it.
You know I just realized that Nicole Kidman in Batman Forever was referring to Catwoman when she was talking to batman and says "or do I need skin tight vinyl and a whip?" 27 years and I'm just getting that call back now. Anyways, Pfeiffer definitely seems to have left a long lasting impression.
Michelle Pfeiffer will always be my favorite catwoman of all time. Danny Deveto was a great penguin.
Yes totally agree and the Penguin is my favourite villain. I love the penguins, so cute 😊.
True, even if his character was kinda... Well, they try to make him sympathetic, but want him to be an evil monster. You can't do both.
I absolutely love this film. It’s way better than the first film. Michelle Pfeiffer’s Catwoman is in the goat of Catwomans conversation. She killed it. The use of Siouxsie and the Banshees in the ballroom scene was spectacular. Michael Keaton is the OG Batman for me. I’ve seen them all and Keaton is still my favorite. Glad y’all did this film today!
Yeah it gets wild!!!
Yeah she was so hot & crazy incredible job
@@whitenoisereacts the gun used against this incarnation of Catwoman in this film is a 6 round cylinder fed Smith & Wesson Model 66 .357 Magnum which's 1 of the strongest/most deadliest/most powerful Pistol rounds (bullets) in the world due 2 the size of .357 Magnum bullet in other words when it comes 2 physique you'll have 2 be incredibly/insanely strong/durable/tough fighter 2 take getting hit in the chest torso/back torso by a single .357 Magnum round (bullet) - all 6 .357 Magnum rounds (bullets) - more than 6 .357 Magnum rounds (bullets) without a bulletproof/bullet resistant armor vest & survive just like how this incarnation of Catwoman somewhat did!
Nobody will beat Michelle’s performance of Catwoman. She stole the show in the whole movie. This my favorite Batman btw it’s so damn dark and gritty and had the best film score. WB wouldn’t let Tim Burton direct another sequel because of how dark it was.
Yeah it’s dark but then also, really not
@@whitenoisereacts actually this was considered super dark for it’s time in 1992. Stealing kids, and drowning them was unheard of and caused major repercussions. McDonalds even pulled their happy meal toys for example. It wasn’t like movies today obviously. As you’ll see in Batman Forever, and Batman and Robin the new direction that WB took from the backlash of Batman Returns.
@@whitenoisereacts The reason why warner Brothers did not offer him another film, was because they wanted to market Batman as a way to sell toys. And his movies were much too dark for that, and a lot of parents were upset. So that’s why they switched gears and you got the monstrosity that is Batman Forever.
Because of McDonald's.
Michelle Pfeiffer actually took part in several weeks of training with the whip to do practical stunts with it, and the take of her whipping off the mannequin heads in the store was done first take. You can see the scene from a directors angle on UA-cam and the crew was amazed she managed to do it in one try
Bruce and Selina aren't wearing costumes at the masquerade ball because Batman and Catwoman are their true identies. They're hiding who they really are by wearing their "civilian" costumes.
Michelle Pfeiffer is best
A talented actress and beautiful woman
She actually did all whip tricks by herself that's awesome
Hands down the best cat woman to date. Michelle Feiffer blew it out of the park
Fun Fact for Movie Geeks:
Max Schreck was named after the German actor who played in Nosferatu. The first ever Vampire in a movie. The twisted grotesque set and world design from Tim Burton was also inspired by these old German movies from 100 years ago.
German expressionism
@@rockinresurrection6542 Yes there was some German Expressionist architecture in Batman the 1989 version, which is a great film. Burton’s Batman films are the best.
Precisely. Not Shrek.
It's nearly 100% because of the music, but I've always found the end of this film rather sad. Sad for the penguin's life, and death, sad for Selina and what could have been... sad for when people allow their struggles to destroy them.
The no wearing a mask I think it's because Bruce IS the mask, and the same could be said for Selina. It's secretly telling us they're already wearing their mask and ironically their true selves are their masked counterparts.
I mean, it's pretty obvious, surprised obvious people like these two didn't see that.
This film was way ahead of its time. People complained about how dark it was. Less than 15 years later look what they turned into. The Burton films struck the right balance: adult yet still remembering that they were making a comic book movie. They played it straight. Keaton remains the best Batman and Pfeiffer still owns the role of Catwoman!
I'm from that time. Watched it twice in the theater. I don't remember anyone complaining it was too dark. Tim Burton's brand of film-making was already in great demand. And "Batman Returns" is one of the most successful Batman movies ever,
Well...Tim Burton has always stated that most of the complains came from executives that thought the movie and happy meals couldnt be marketed together
“She’s not quite good but she’s not quite bad so she is Catwoman”. Honestly catwoman isn’t really a villain and in no way a hero she just looks out for herself and does whatever she feels like doing (right or wrong sometimes)
. . . So then, just a typical woman ?
@@stevejoshua9536 I was gonna say more like just a regular cat…. But okay haha 😅
Amazing chemistry between Keaton and Pfeiffer in this. Great tragi-romantic dynamic between characters who are so similar in their particular brand of damaged insanity.
The music is what stood out to me in this movie, Eflman brought all of his best for this movie.
Iconic
selina:i got nine lives and think ill save one for next christmas
the guys:how did she survive?!
all love btw lol
I know I was like…guys she’s literally telling you but you’re talking over it and not listening lol
As awesome as the Catwoman suit is, there was one serious flaw: it had to be completely removed to go to the bathroom. Michelle Pfeiffer made sure to tell Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway, and Zoe Kravitz to ask the costume designer to consider this, and she says she'll continue for any others who play the role in live action.
More than that. They practically vacuumed sealed her in the costume. Her body could barely breathe
She passed out from it being too tight during one take.
Catwoman is just the story of a person who was literally and figuratively pushed over the edge by powerful men.
It's been years since I saw this, maybe since I was a kid, and I never realized how dark and incredibly weird it is. I love it. Pfeiffer is the ultimate Catwoman and should have been Oscar-nominated for this rather than for Love Field that year.
When I was a kid growing up literally this is the first movie that I remember remembering and it's so good, in fact I think I like the penguin more than the joker.. devito killed it harder than Nicholson....
Also fun fact Michael Keaton was asked to come back for Batman forever but read the script and laughed at it and said it was terrible and he wouldn't do it
This movie is why Tim Burton doesn't get a carte blanche anymore. Kenner and McDonald's were pissed about how adult this movie was and pulled their toy lines.
Michelle Pfeiffer did the scene with the whip and the mannequins in one take. She also actually swallowed the bird (It was conditioned to be ok with being put in someone's mouth)
The original plan was for Penguin to be Shreck's long lost older brother, but a change of screenwriters left that out, so the Penguin story arcs is sort of jumbled.
McDonald's had lots of Batman Returns toys and cups.
They also did the next movie sooo.....
The first time I watched this I completely missed the only two people WITHOUT masks at the party were Batman and Catwoman.
'What Lies Beneath' An excellent ghost/mystery story movie w/ Michelle Pfeiffer & Harrison Ford. It's a great movie!
She was incredible as Catwoman.
This was back when comic book movies didn’t take themselves too seriously. They were more direct live adaptations of their counterparts both in visuals and narrative. Hence the themed henchmen and exotic vehicles.
This movie is a celebration of gothic camp, done tastefully, imo. These movies had nothing to compare themselves to and pioneered what we have today.
And it’s pure Tim Burton lol.
Same, too many comic book movies today try too hard to be either too serious, too realistic or too comedic. You gotta find that right balance.
I know you love lighting, but did you notice the foreshadowing at 12:38 with the mask on her face with the use of shadows? Bruce telling Selina that she has a dark side is such an ironic joke since he does too lol
Pfeiffer’s portrayal is the total blueprint of the modern cat woman. My favourite in animation is probably TAS and my favourite in live action is Eartha Kitt for classic and Kravitz for modern.
Michelle Pfeiffer is my favorite actor of all time, with this being her most iconic role. Glad you guys got to experience watching her for the first time!
Btw the reason why Catwoman was still alive in the end was because she got 9 lives when the cats resurrected her. That's why she was counting them as Max was shooting her.
I love that Michelle Pfeiffer actually put the bird in her mouth (for all of 2 or 3 seconds) in order to make the shot as realistic as possible. Tests with fake birds just looked bad.
When Penguin said "I was their number one son, but they treated me like number two", he didn't mean "like a second born son", he's literally saying "they treated me like shit". It's kind of a juvenile joke, but it cracked me up when I first saw this. Great reaction.
The cat breathed new life into selina and has alot of lives I believe 7 lives. I think in the comics her black cat was called Midnight.
My favorite Catwoman
I’m sure someone already commented this, but at 23:28 , that was really Michelle knocking the heads off of each mannequin on her first take! If you look through UA-cam, you can find an extended clip of that scene where everyone on set bursts into applause at her prowess with the whip!!
I loved her as Catwoman, probably my favorite actress to have the role thus far.
26:30 THAT WAS ALSO A REAL BIRD.
This is by far my favorite Batman! I've watched it hundred of times. I practically have it memorized word for word. Michelle is Catwoman and that's that!!!
-So Shrek is an original character made for this movie.
-This is a completely different take on The Penguin but his monstrosity has been influential in the comics. As of late, he is more of a corrupt businessman and gangster.
-Danny Devito actually wrote a comic about The Penguin and Catwoman. It was... interesting to say the least.
-The Catwoman movie was originally going to star Michelle Pfeiffer. Good thing she didn't. Poor Halle Berry.
-Parents were so offended with the film that WB was reluctant doing another one with Tim Burton at the helm. He caught on and decided to move aside thus Joel Schumacher took center stage.
Crazy how Penguin's father is played by Pee Wee Herman himself. Learned about this like 20 years after the movie came out.
I learned this today 🤯
Just another day in Pee-Wee's Playhouse.
tbh we never got a truly "accurate" Catwoman" in ANY of the movies. She is a "cat burglar", hence the "cat". this version totally makes sense for Burton and is very memorable, it's just interesting that nobody tried going back to the roots afterwards.
Catwoman is def a little superhuman in this version that why she can take hits and do the stunts. And really did have 9 lives
One can state that the firing mechanism in Max Shreks gun had been dampened from being in the the water for too longer, making the bullets have less power and impact on Bruce and Selina.
The score was given heavily induced steroid boost, from its opening Prologue, to Penguins cemetery march, and Batman's theme itself just mildly retweeked, a theme of which that was so catchy and so recogniseable that it was used for a long while for the cartoon series that followed.
Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman is to this day still the the only Catwoman that I like in both performance and story arch. Being able to actually see her transformation into the anti-hero add the necessary emotional connection to her, and her addition to the film was more than just to be a sexualised love interest for Batman, which I personally felt is all Anne Hathaway and Zoe Kravit's adaptations ever contribute, resulting in their turns at Catwoman hollow and non-impacting.
Some people seem to think that the second film was silly and over the top. While I can agree to a certain extent (an army of rocket Penguins) most seem to forget that Jack Nicholson's Joker has a dance number to Prince twice, an electric buzzer that vaporizes its victims to dust of which only ever gets used once, and has a diabolical scheme to release toxic gas into the public from a bunch of floating balloons.
I have always argued that Batman Returns surpasses Tim Burton's original Batman on many levels. Warner Bros gave Tim full creative control after the success of Batman and so Tim Burton took that 110% literally, but not just turning Gotham into what I argue is the best version of Gotham City, but also giving Penguin a fresh new take. Unfortunately, one original idea that SHOULD have been kept in the film, was the Max Shrek and Penguin were original written to have been Brothers, with Max being the first born son who was given everything Oswald wasn't, which adds alot more weight, sense and significance on Penguin key plan to kill every first-born child in Gotham.
Catwoman was the best thing about this film, and we were all so excited to hear that there was going to be a spinoff movie starring Michelle Pfeiffer. We waited and waited and it never really materialized until the HORRIBLE Catwoman movie starring Halle Barry, which had absolutely nothing to do with this film.
The next two films in this trilogy were directed by Joel Schumacher, after Warner Bros. dropped Tim Burton after the backlash against Batman Returns from merchandisers and parent groups. While the Schumacher films take place within the same continuity, they could not be more different in every way from the previous two films.
It’s funny how younger people associate the name Shrek with cuteness. The word schreck is German for terror. And Max Schreck was also the name of the actor who played Nosferatu in the original silent horror film.
this is my favorite catwoman. i think shes great. so fun and interesting and strange. i loved this movie as a kid. when i showed it to my kid they bawled their eyes out at the end because they thought all the poor penguins would be sad now without the penguin and who was going to take care of them.
Batman Returns is a Christmas film. 😎
Along with the first "Batman" score, Danny Elfman's score to "Batman Returns" is AWESOME.
So, she died when she got pushed out the window.. the cats were all giving her one of their lives... so she was alive, with her memories, but she was like a cat after that... and she gets killed several times in the movie, but she just uses her 9 lives....
Oh, cool, ok! That makes a lot more sense honestly
You guys should check out “Batman: Mask of The Phantasm.” It was based on the animated series at that time. It was an awesome movie and an awesome series. Plus, Mark Hamill played the voice of the Joker. Before Heath Ledger he was known as the best Joker. They even brought him and Keven Conroy (Batman) for the Batman: Arkham game series.
If you ever feel useless just remember,
Gotham has a police department.
The song that plays during the Masquerade is "Face to Face" by Siouxsie and the Banshees 🖤
Catwoman is the best Batman "Villian" in my opinion, she's chaotic but she's neutral. Everything she does is for herself, she doesn't bother with good or bad.
She doesn't go out of her way to cause chaos or hurt innocent people but if someone is in her way she won't feel too bad about it.
Favourite quotes:
"How could you! I'm a woman... as I was saying, I'm a woman and can't be taken for granted."
"Mistletoe can be deadly if you eat it."
" Two lives left. I think I'll save one for next Christmas. But in the meantime, how about a kiss, Santy Claus?"
"I just love a big strong man, who is not afraid to show it with someone half his size. Be gentle - it's my first time."
My favorite moment was the one at the dance: "Do we have to fight now?"
I love Michelle Pfeiffer as Cat Woman. I love this movie and the feeling it gives you. A Christmas favorite! 🎄 🥰
Love your guys reviews. It's neat to watch the reactions of animators. I'm an artist but was much too nervous to do animation. I envy you both!
did you guys catch "I had a pretty big deal.... come through.... fall through, actually." referring to the ice princess?
No, who is that?
@@whitenoisereacts The woman that they kidnap and who falls to her death and they frame him for it with the bats. When bruce says he had a pretty big deal come through... FALL through, actually.... I think he's referring to her "falling." laugh out loud, right?
Robert Wuhl did make a cameo appearance as Knox in the CW's Crisis on Infinite Earths special a couple years ago. Followed a few seconds later by Burt Ward. It was pretty emotional.
I love this movie. Keaton, Pfeiffer, & DeVito are all great in it... but as a comic book fan I have to acknowledge its inaccuracy (Penguin is not a monster in the comics he's just a gangster with a beak nose and a gimp leg, and Catwoman is just a thief, no powers)
When the Batmobile side parts fall off it becomes the “Batmissle”.
The Vehicle he uses in the sewer is called the “Bat Ski-Boat”
Siouxsie and the Banshees - Mouth to mouth.
i loved watching this reaction, because you went the opposite way i did. these are the batman movies i grew up with, so then we went from divine gothic fantasy to crude realism and a whole different level of darkness with nolan... i love all of them: the burton and the nolan ones. lets face it... i love all batman movies
My favourite Batman movie ever....so many iconic characters and memorable scenes!
From an aesthetic perspective, this movie is the best Batman movie ever made. You can’t think of this as a realistic film. On every level it’s a surrealist metaphor about monsters that happens to feature Batman. It explores political corruption and workplace sexism, while the villains echo Batman’s own duality. Really though this is Catwoman’s movie and Michelle Pfeiffer killed it! As an adaptation of Batman comics, this movie does a bad job. As cinema though, Batman movies don’t get better than this.
You nailed it. I almost look at this like a Batman Elseworld story as its so whimsical and gothic.
Best cat woman
Actually liked this one better than part one
I love that you guys seem like such good friends.
Penguin's timeline is that the Circus took him in as a baby, almost certainly having found him in among the penguins (or someone at the zoo did and sold him to them). So he was educated and raised by the Red Triangle Circus, who he then turned to crime after him killing kids (mentioned that kids disappeared) and the Circus folded.
So it makes sense overall.
I ENJOYED THIS MOVIE👏👏👍. MICHAEL KEATON AS BATMAN IS REALLY ICONIC AND BRINGS BACK MEMORIES AND ON THE OTHER HAND MICHELLE PFEIFFER DID A FANTASTIC JON PLAYING SELINA KYLE AKA/CATWOMAN”👍🔥🔥♥️
I feel like this is the best version of Catwoman in the films. Best Catwoman was Earth Kitt.
Loved your reaction, it was hilarious. I watched this when it first came out and was your age. Went with a huge Batman fan, but yes it was more campy than serious. I remember laughing alot too.
I have bring memories about this film. I saw this film in theaters with my grandma when I was 12 year old in 1992 and now in my 42 years old I still love this classic Batman Returns directed by Tim Burton starring Michael Keaton, Michelle Pfeiffer, Danny DeVito, Christopher Walken and music score by Danny Elfman. Thank you so much guys great reaction excellent👍👍👍👍👍👍
What is this music?
Danny Elfman
One of the best movie composers ever 🙌
This is still the best Catwoman. Only time they got her right. Catwoman has 9 lives. It's how she survived and counted down her lives to the end.
If comic book film adaptations back then had the power, pull, prevalence, popularity, and all around success they have today, Michelle Pfeiffer would have won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress. The depth, range, and nuance in her portrayal of Selina Kyle/Catwoman is miles ahead of what this film required, asked for, and deserved. Still the BEST performance in the role to date and arguably the best performance of her career. A tour de force performance for a comic book character. Michelle does it all in this film. She's sexy, sultry, campy, funny, endearing, vulnerable, meek, and dangerous. She breathes nine lives into her character and is the best thing about this film. A complete scene stealer who became the main reason why this film, despite its flaws, is still worth watching today.
First good reaction. The way I see it, Penguin was practically the evil take on Moses. Like Moses, he was placed in a basket then placed in the river and founded by a new family. He knew who is parents were, but wanted revenge for being cast out by them and society. The original plan was to kill the current generation firstborn male children, but then he decided to kill everyone when Batman foiled his plot. When he dies, you feel sympathy, because it all started with him having vainful parents. When the cats surround Selina and bite on her, she gets 8 additional lives, signifying her fall out the window the lost of one. She is more an antihero; she only kills if it is necessary or just. That’s why her and Bruce are similar yet different. They did fall in love, and Bruce attempted to try to calm her. He really wanted to help her recover from the trauma. However, Selina couldn’t reconcile with her chance to not kill Max. She felt like that she already crossed that line between good and evil. That’s why Michelle Pfeiffer is hands down the best Catwoman. Also Michelle did the bird in mouth for reals.🦇🐈⬛🐧
This was my first Batman so it will always have a special place for me.
🎵"This hit, that ice cold
Michelle Pfeiffer, that white gold!"🎵
Phil Collins, Bob Hoskins, Bill Murray, John Goodman, Dudley Moore, James Belushi, Marlon Brando, John Candy, Ralph Waite, Dean Martin, Charles Grodin, Christopher Lee, Joe Pesci, Alex Rocco, Ray Liotta, Gabriel Byrne, John Lithgow, and Dennis Hopper were considered for Penguin
Before the '89 Batman was made they had not cast the Joker yet. I saw Ray Liotta in Something Wild (1986) and thought he would be an excellent Joker.
If you haven’t seen the TV show Gotham- it’s works out to be damn good. I didn’t expect to like it at all. I was thinking, “I don’t give a 💩 about itty bitty Bruce”.
But the kid playing Jerome is the best… Jerome ever. So good!
Thank you for doing a Reaction to the Tim Burton Batman movies. Great to see these again !
39:45 "Finelly" unstead of "Finale"! 🤣🤣🤣
The reporters name was Knox.
Cats according to ancient myth have 9 lives. She was killed once by Oswald, once by Batman when he pushed her down the kitty litter, once by penguin when she falls from the Umbrella, 4 times shot by Oswald and once by the electric shot. So sje was killed 8 times, 1 life left. Thats why she said "I think ill save one for next christmas" lol. And Catwoman as in the comic do have crazy contrasting personality. You can never trust her completely. One second shes the good girl and works with batman, next thing u know she backstabs him. So this movie perfectly reflects Catwoman as in the cartoon.
this is the most memorable one for me
Very good reaction guys, when you get to the third movie "Batman Forever" PLEASE make sure to be the last one of this version of the character, as you can view it as a trilogy.
PS: My favorite version of Catwoman is this one with Michelle Pfeiffer.
Don't tell them that. Let them examine the movie for themselves.
@@roryotoole3279 OK, it's their funeral when they get to Batman and Robin.
This is the best catwoman ever!
Have you seen Gotham (on netflix now)? If not, are you going to react to it? It,s really good and has a wonderful take on the Penguin.
People forget that what made Nolan's trilogy unique was that it was trying to portray the Batman mythos "realistically" and more plausibly than previous incarnations of it. That trilogy is very different in tone from most of the comic book, TV and film versions of Batman that came before. Gotham is usually very gothic-looking, the villains VERY arch, the humor a little more cynical and satirical. In fact, I found the Gotham of Nolan's trilogy to be TOO close to reality, just another gentrified American city, while Burton's Gotham makes me want to step into the screen and look around at all the buildings.
The humor is something I enjoyed about this film. It's a lot more American than the first film, with American pop culture references and political trends of the day. The script was written by Daniel Waters, who also wrote the VERY black teen comedy, Heathers, which also skewers American teen culture and pop psychology.
Another great reaction. Personally this is my favourite Batman. The thing with Selena is she took on the trait of being a cat with 9 lives.
I am so enjoying the journey through the Batman movies I grew up with. The next one, Batman Forever is my favorite one but this one was so good too. Michele Pfeiffer is such a good Catwoman.
FUN FACT: Max Shreck was originally supposed to be Harvey dent played by Billy Dee Williams from the first movie but was rewritten to be a new character so that they could be more villainous. The scene where he dies at the end while cat woman kisses him with a stun gun was originally supposed to be how he got his scars as two-face.
I did like that Batman had a more tactical armor with a retractble glider in this movie. That said making penguin a mutant and catwoman some kind of undead killer was weird.
This exchange cracked me up:
James: That guy looks like a total dweeb.
Ninetailedbrush: Now, don't judge a book by its cover..... but it's not lookin' good.
LOL!
Back in the day, parents groups lost it over this movie. Because of how dark it is, and the fact it was marketed to children. To the point that McDonald's was selling toys pushing the film.
And supposedly that's how the saga starts its downfall, doesn't it?
@@MademoiselleRed1390 sorta. Tim Burton was supposed to do a 3rd film, but personally felt burned on doing a sequel. Which is why Schumacher was signed up for the job. But he wanted to do 90's version of the TV show. And we saw how well that went over.
Parents are morons.
He's just gonna Murder the penguins🤣🤣🤣
Ok...so the best Batman EVER! Jack Nicholson was amazing as the Joker...but Danny and Michelle embody the Penguin and Cat Woman like none before or to come. Iconic characterizations of these two legendary villains. Danny creates the first truly terrifying Penguin. And Michelle for the first and so far last time, gives us a Cat Woman that is a true badass villain...not just some cat burglar like so many other attempts. I love her origin story in this movie...there's something somewhat supernatural about it...but not too much...perfect. I must say, it's hilarious listening to you two so quickly trusting Penguin...a villain that's been the bad guy for the past 80 years of his creation...LOL. I bet you also wont ever look at penguins as the cute little bobbly birds again either. Does Alfred's line in the Justice League movie, "One misses the days when one's biggest concerns were exploding wind up penguins", mean more to you now? I still love how these movies keep in line with the comic book style, which is what I like in a Super Hero movie. Tim Burton is just a genius in my book.
Batman Forever 1995 and Batman & Robin 1997 next. Those are my favorites, can't wait if you react to them
This literally a libretto too an Opera that never found a stage....
Not my favorite Batman but Michelle Pfeiffer's performance was amazing, especially with the dialogue and lines she had to act.
the word Schreck is actually German and means shock or scare. So yeh he sounds kinda villainous
plus, German actor Max Schreck portrayed vampire Count Orlok in Nosferatu
Fun fact for you guys. Danny Devito actually ate a real raw fish.
You should totally watch GOTHAM, such a great take on how bad crime was in Gotham before Batman came to be. And how the villains also got to be...
The story is quite fantastic, and the actors deliver amazing performances.
A cat has nine lives!
this guys never took their tin hats off, there was always something underlying they were looking for xD
Tim Burton got his inspiration from the 1960's TV-show with Adam West (Batman) and Burt Ward (Robin). At least for the villains.
That is the Batskiboat.
