Actually would be interested in a device like this for the switch lite. As a broke university student that plays tabletop mode quite often, I don't have a regular switch (or a monitor for that matter), and I often find myself wishing that the screen was bigger when playing text heavy games like Picross. Weird gaming accessories companies/ DIY UA-camrs, do your thing!
Yes! I completely agree with this comment. To play mario picross I have to increase the screen size (using the home button feature) and lock the screen in a comfortable way, so that I can actually see what I'm doing.
I remember finding you when switch came out and we all saw the new frontier, REALLY awesome how your channel has grown since. I love all the cool little gadgets you find to go with it - nintendos accessory game is strong for a reason lol
once you experienced the magnifying glass/light combo and grips, there was no going back. the memories made playing super mario world in the back of a minivan while staring through a magnifying glass will always bring a smile to my face
Regarding the ad (gchd): Why do so many UA-camrs assume you can't connect retro consoles to modern TVs without an HDMI adapter? You still can, it just won't look as pretty. My NES is hooked up to my HDTV right now. No special adapters required.
A lot of newer tvs only accept HDMI input. Now, Idk, with an nes, maybe you're going through coax, right? But Gamecubes and that era of consoles do not have coax out. And they do not have hdmi out. So, you'd need an adapter. But I personally am going the other direction... I have gotten myself used to CRTs again, and it's amazing :) The Final fantasy pixel perfect remasters look unreal on an old sd crt tv. I just have this cheap cable I bought on Amazon that downscales hdmi out to a composite signal. And I've used it on my Wii U to play my Wii games on a CRT, so I don't have to set up my Wii. Anyway... CRTs are amazing once you readjust your eyes. Embrace the blur!
@@pwnedd11 My TV has 5 HDMI ports and 1 Component/Composite combo port. I don't know of any TVs that only have HDMI ports, not even brand new display models -- I look at the back of them in the stores, they all have composite or component (or combo) ports. Are you sure your "TV" isn't really a computer monitor?
I had the original Handy Boy for the GB and this brought back memories! Also Beb, yours are the only adverts I enjoy. I know there’s pressure to keep outdoing yourself on them but goddamn the segments are awesome. Must be a pain the on a$$ to record.
I've gotten myself used to CRTs again, so I didn't even notice the aspect ratio lol! Even though I was on a widescreen lcd, the aspect ratio just looked normal to me, again!
Not gonna lie, I watch Wulff Den just for the commercials. Props to using 4:3 aspect ratio in an ad about getting the best video output on the GameCube.
I remember having one of these things (not as bulky though) for the Game Boy Advance SP and I used it a lot, it was super useful for me to be able to increase the screen (I don't have great eyesight). I wish I had something similar for the switch lite, as what you did looks great and functional. To navigate the store or play mario picross, for example, I find myself increasing the screen through the home button feature and locking it in a comfortable way. It helps!
There's actually a built in magnify option. Just press home twice. If it doesn't work you need to switch it on in the options. It's very useful for those games with super tiny text.
Been waiting on my oled satisfy grip since late December they keep saying it’s coming but nothing pretty disappointed since all these UA-camrs recommended
The reason it's max and not is because a resistor for the volume went out haha, just like older cars and ac units only lets the car go from max h/c to nothing.
I had a knockoff - my speakers looked different. It was a lifesaver during long car rides back in the day. NGL, I kind of want to build this, and set up my old game boy with its magnifier, for display. I’ve got an extra Switch now, with the OLED.
I’ve been working on my own handy boy. With the same magnifying glass and satisfye grip. I added battery cells to the inside of the grip with the wires running inside the grip and the module sticking out. And a ten1design to hold my phone above the console. It is atrocious and I love it. I use a neckset when playing to make it even more weird
My GBC had a magnifying thing with a light that my mom got me as a kid. But it didn’t have all the other stuff like the buttons, joystick, and speakers. 😅 those things seem to make it way to big. The one I remember was pretty small (well as small as stuff like this can be) and I loved it cus the thing still fit in my cargo shorts and made playing it in the dark easier. 😂
My friend has one eye, limited funds and limited vision. This thing would be perfect for him for his lite. He already uses the built in magnifying glass
Left this comment on your old video about the Hori split pads but wanted to put it here to. You should do a video on the Mobapad m6. There just like the Hori Split Pad pros but have Mechanical Buttons, Rumble and Gyro aiming for $48. But there only sold on aliexpress at the moment, and cannot be used wirelessly. Does make me wonder though if the wired adapter for the split pad would work for these to. Anyway love your videos hope to see more of them.
love the aspect ratio that matches the "retro" look
I was about to ask about that 😆 thought maybe they’re multipurposing vids for Facebook who prefers 4:3 videos
4:3 is the way to go for older stuff like this.
nope. its just annoying.
4:3 > 16:9 easy
I was waiting to see one of those transitions to a 16:9 to show him bringing the product into the present day.
Incredibly proud of you for this one, you really did what no one thought possible or necessary
Key word being necessary
holy shit you're the guy! thank you for all your videos, i got a lot of good notes out of them, especially the one about clothes
😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Imagine how intimidated the next 12 year old at Moe’s will be when they challenge you to smash and you pull this bad boy out.
*Not permissible during tournament play
LOVED my handyboy growing up..was joking with wife that I should make one for the switch, lmao. Nice one Bahb!
Everything about this was brilliant because of how ridiculous it all was. Love the 4:3 aspect ratio haha!
Thought to myself "Wow, that looks heavy." ...then you added a block of wood! Great abomination, 10/10.
Best part is the "480p all the way up to 1080p" with 1080 on the monitor lmao

I hated the small screen so now I have 2 switch(es?)
Yes! I completely agree with this comment. To play mario picross I have to increase the screen size (using the home button feature) and lock the screen in a comfortable way, so that I can actually see what I'm doing.
Try using an old tablet camera and point it to your lite, little textbook tripod magic and boom!
Bob seems like the type of guy to be a really nice guy!
I remember finding you when switch came out and we all saw the new frontier, REALLY awesome how your channel has grown since. I love all the cool little gadgets you find to go with it - nintendos accessory game is strong for a reason lol
As someone who watches UA-cam primarily on an iPad the 4:3 aspect ratio on this video was awesome. Looked really immersive
I had something similar to the handy boy for my game boy advance and it was a game changer for road trips.
Such a creative project! Love it!
love the video the retro feel. The 4:3 ratio. Killed it as always.
This needs to go into production. With a tweak of the usb it would be perfect.
That focus pull with the GameCube and the two Bobs at 1:45 is *chef's kiss*
I love that this video is entirely 4:3, I'm honestly not missing the sides at all :)
once you experienced the magnifying glass/light combo and grips, there was no going back. the memories made playing super mario world in the back of a minivan while staring through a magnifying glass will always bring a smile to my face
Dare I say, the flawless execution of this craft makes Bob the real Handy Boi
I sure there is someone out there that envisioned a New Switch model to look like this.
Your creativity and humour knows no bounds. Best commercial so far!

I've never seen a more catchy thumbnail than this one, great job!
Love your little skits and appreciate the effort you put into the videos . Keep up the great work :) happy gaming
great job masking your arm when it crossed over your other self in the ad space. That was very well done.
Hahaha! Hilarious! The 4:3 aspect ratio is even more hilarious! Nice attention to detail! Love it!
I actually made a dock for the switch lite that is essentially a camera recording the screen.
Yo that sounds awesome! I was thinking of doing the same thing, could you make a video about it?
thanks for making me smile. You are one of the few on here that is actually able to make that happen.
lol every time I tune in to this channel I’m always entertained, thanks breh!
The aspect ratio scared me at Frist
This was the best part of my work morning, also (honest opinion) the XL wulff den mouse pad is fantastic!
Honestly the Eon sponsor ad could’ve been a video on its own, love it!
i love that the video is a 4:3 ratio to make it feel more retro
I had the original Handy Boy for the GB and this brought back memories!
Also Beb, yours are the only adverts I enjoy. I know there’s pressure to keep outdoing yourself on them but goddamn the segments are awesome. Must be a pain the on a$$ to record.
This was pretty goofy. I needed this to start my morning. Ordered up one of those awesome hoodies, can't wait for it to arrive! Great job Bob!
The thing he liked the most out of this whole insane getup is the magnifier. A piece he bought as-is, purpose built for the task lol.
The add made me like this video full 90's vibes, nice Bob!
I loved the Eterna Forest music playing in the background.
I've gotten myself used to CRTs again, so I didn't even notice the aspect ratio lol! Even though I was on a widescreen lcd, the aspect ratio just looked normal to me, again!
You will notice when reading the comments and the move to the sides of the screen during the part where the ad plays.
Not gonna lie, I watch Wulff Den just for the commercials. Props to using 4:3 aspect ratio in an ad about getting the best video output on the GameCube.
Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.
This is incredible 😆🤙👍
5:08 Beeg Sweech Funy LOL 😂
as someone who uses a 4:3 monitor i appreciate the aspect ratio
Super creative video idea and as always the is editing and shots are top notch. Keep up the good work!
This was great, good job bob!
this brought back so many traumatic memories of the wormlight and the d pad joystick adapter...lol
Your content is always so funny and entertaining. Love the wacky and unique ideas haha
I remember this.... Fun times. I had the one for Gameboy color.
I remember having one of these things (not as bulky though) for the Game Boy Advance SP and I used it a lot, it was super useful for me to be able to increase the screen (I don't have great eyesight).

Videos thank you for having an amazing tech videos I just got off the ER and your video is helping me and thank you so much

If it doesn't work you need to switch it on in the options.
It's very useful for those games with super tiny text.
I think this is the only channel I’m subscribed to that I don’t fast forward the paid promotions lol
That d pad to joystick mechanical conversion is peak 90s
Now we need a video in a vertical aspect ratio
Wulffden I swear your humour is unmatched 😂
Been waiting on my oled satisfy grip since late December they keep saying it’s coming but nothing pretty disappointed since all these UA-camrs recommended
Do you have a link to those joycon shells?
i thought my phone was broken. then i realized we are watching a man of culture that set up the aspect ratio to match the retro look
The thumbnail made me feel like I slipped into a different dimension where down is Y and left is X.
Literal Spray painted speakers "does it improve sound quality over the nintendo switch speakers?" Bob "no."
I absolutely love your showmanship
At this point I come for the ad rolls. Jokes of course, but keep up the fantastic production quality Bob.
G-Case: *"Finally, a worthy opponent!"*
Again, the best add spots on UA-cam!
You made my 6 year old laugh with that intro 🤣✌🏻 he screamed “wait I want to see”🤣
Bloody beautiful my man 👍🏾🙏🏽
I have finally binged all your videos and now I'm sad there is no more :c
I had a pelican screen magnifier with screen light for game boy color was a fun accessory
The reason it's max and not is because a resistor for the volume went out haha, just like older cars and ac units only lets the car go from max h/c to nothing.
The whole time watching this video I couldn't stop looking at the STD logo on the Handy Boy box
I love watching this aspect ratio on my Old LG Vu III.
Handy switch is what I call my evenings, if I am feeling adventurous
"He's losing his mind... while I'm reaping all the benefits."
This was a fun one Bob, thanks!
yooo Bob getting that EON sponsorship! wish I didn't just buy both of those adapters a few weeks ago lol
This solves all of my problems. Thanks Bahb
I had a knockoff - my speakers looked different. It was a lifesaver during long car rides back in the day. NGL, I kind of want to build this, and set up my old game boy with its magnifier, for display. I’ve got an extra Switch now, with the OLED.
I can't wait to try this

Also. Made a ton of modifications to my dock to be in par with my handheld Frankenstein and it ended up looking really cool
I loved the handyboy. I still have it along with the Nubi amp at the bottom
damn I thought the video has some retro tape filter on it, but I realized I was watching the video on 360p
finally a new video that I can watch in full screen on my crt monitor
5:01 I thought you were going to say “I saw other kids with a device like this around there eyes, I think they called them glasses…”
Watching 1080°Avalanche gave me chills and nostalgia :')
Dude I was so excited for this that I asked my wife for one...
I didn't get any switch accessories but I was still happy with the results.
Bob, I was wondering where did you get the game boy shell for the joycons. I couldn’t find a link in the description.
You use the original switch, I thought you'd use the OLED Switch?🤭Love your channel by the way.🤗
First we get an American version of the office, now the retro future. wild times. Great video, music in the ad full on slaps.
I still have mine! Loved it so much as a kid
This is the content I subscribe for
Can’t wait to get my signature Bob Wulff Switch Handy Boi when it releases (in Bizarro World) Brilliant fun video fella x
Any new updates on the burn in test on OLED?
I really miss couch co-op games. You really have to go retro games to play any fun couch co-op games
Oooohhh God!! The Paint Job on the Speaker!!
It's the reason I have Popeye forearms as an adult.
My friend has one eye, limited funds and limited vision. This thing would be perfect for him for his lite. He already uses the built in magnifying glass
There's a mod to use an old Sega Saturn d-pad with these shells, if you want it to get even sillier

This was the day that bob don't have any idea to record a video
