I traded in a budget guitar and $350 for a 2018 butterscotch Fender player telecaster in great shape. I had to clean the guitar , change strings and polish the frets. Now I will put a tusq nut... I think I will do a complete tune up. Personally I prefer 🇺🇸 or Mexican Fender guitar necks ‼️ The telecaster is an amazing guitar ‼️
Thank you for making this video. I’m literally cross shopping those two exact colors and can’t decide which one to get. Looks wise I love the double binding on the olive green but the butterscotch also looks great
I have this guitar and I love it. I think I got lucky, as I've heard the quality of Squiers is a little bit luck of the draw, but I love how it sounds. It's heavy! But the bridge pickup kicks like a mule, and I get some lovely tones out of it. Thanks for the video.
I had one of these and it was a dog. But I've had two Chinese CV50s Strats which have been amazing. I regretted selling the first one, so found another, which I still own.
Have this same guitar, love it and think it's a great value guitar BUT any prospective buyers should be aware that the jack sucks and will probably need to be replaced within three months. Mine gave me fits forever until I finally had a luthier redo it and the cheap wiring inside while upgrading the bridge pickup to a Seymour Duncan Hot Tele with a tapped bridge setup and new pull knob switch. Love everything about it now.
Ive wanted one of these for a while! Im amazed a tele can jazz or rock. Ive pushed my basic my indio tele to sound almost like a spanish acoustic. They are +NOT+ just for country.
Got two of these CV50 (both Indonesian)....one is an Anderton Purple Pete.....really good guitars...one has Lollars the other Fralins....and they play/sound wonderful...and I own two boutique Teles (among the 12 Teles I own) to compare against. Pups make all the difference. Stock pups are decent enough. Disconnect the neck pup from the tone pot, great mod that improves tone. CV's are not perfect builds and use decent but cheaper electronics but very decent bones and nice finish jobs. Got two HarleyBenton Teles and both are better made than the CV50's, especially the necks. HB fret jobs are exceptional. Keep them BOTH....get used '51 Fender CS Nocaster pups (or any boutique quality pup).
That CV Tele is a beauty. That maple neck is gorgeous.
Can't wait to get mine.

My dream " tele" is a G&L FULLERTON ASAT CLASSIC. It's definitely a better built guitar than fender professional 2 telecaster and it's on steroids ‼️😅
Nice! I've got a 53 fender Esquire all original from my grandpa. It's pretty nice.
You've got two of the nicest guitars that Squier makes!

@@konmorse I have a sound comparison coming up tomorrow!

Easy decision: keep them both and get another one

Interesting. How do the necks on the HB Teles feel as compared to the CV? Similar shape? Chunkier? Thinner? Thanks.
@@xcx8646 HB have a nice but noticeable flatter radius fingerboard. Seem just a touch thicker too...just a touch. Both comfy.
@@lazvt8469 Sounds like a prefer a CV neck. Thanks, very helpful.
Super nice, does it have the ferrules on the back of the body to run the strings through?
@@BigPerm2004 Yes, it is a string through!
@@Lucas_Arredondo Thank you, nice guitar and killer player!! Was an instant subscribe for me
