      I have American Fenders and Gibsons, and this is the guitar I play out AND at home almost 100% of the time. I did replace the stock pots and tone/volume knobs, but that was just for longevity's sake and for the feel of the standard-sized tone knobs.

    I’ve long held a deep-rooted disdain for squire guitars, so it was tough looking for a standard Tele that was budget friendly without looking into these. I must say, I don’t know why I hated them for so long. Every review and video I’ve seen over the last few days finally brought me over the fence. Sounds amazing!
    I found a shop demo 50’s vibe today for just a few hundred bucks.
    I bought it. Can’t WAIT till it gets here!

    • @thecentralscrutinizerr
      @thecentralscrutinizerr 4 роки тому

      Squire makes some el cheap guitars too, which is one reason people mistakenly hate them, but their classic vibe line IS NOT the el cheapo line. I have this guitar, and for 2 dollars you can put an Orange Drop capacitor in it and get nice wide tonal variations using the treble knob. It's a freakin' 5 minute mod and its super easy to do. The ONLY reason I buy American made guitars is to keep Americans in a job.

    • @TheLowest

      Squier bullets are the bad ones and also the cheapest. Affinity slightly less cheap but still not overly amazing. But the classic vibes and contemporarys are very nice guitars

    thanks for giving classic vibe an honest review with playin skills too...I've owned a tele, a few strats, but found im more of a tele guy, and they've all been cv...the quality is kinda confusing in the market huh? like how can squire be so good?...I could express my opinion but it would be complicated and long cause I've understood Fender for decades and know why some guitars cost sooooo much and understand why the classic vibe line is putting out such quality instruments at such a good price point....squier rocks!!!!...

    Great video. I bought one of these. Then I thought I needed a more expensive one so I bought a fender performer... but got the bug and bought the professional II also. The classic vibe sounds just as good or not better... not same tone but great. None of my three telecasters sound the same actually. The CV is bright and punchy and the performer warm and mellow... and the professional somewhere in between. My two favorites are the CV and the performer surprisingly...the CV is that good. I'm going to sell my professional because I like it but don't love it... something magic missing that the other two have. I always think about selling my CV thinking I already have expensive fender I've but it sounds too good to sell,.. and has it's own unique voice that is exceptional...

The ones made in China 2 to 3 years ago the butterscotch had which I have medium jumbo frets... brass bridge .. alico fives pickups .... better volume knobs pine body bone nut the blonde were the same except they had alico.... threes pickups. These were great guitars.. in my opinion they started making them cheaper like what I call Pop metal chrome bridges narrow tall frets cheaper volume knobs... Which I don't like the ones from Indonesia. ... My opinion that's it.....

    I bought one of these this winter. Only mod I did was a better plug in jack. I agree the sound is just fantastic. The quality is great. As you said this is not a cheap guitar by any means. It is well made and sounds awesome. The only other mod - which really doesn't need done unless you gig and play a lot would be upgrading the switch. As for me I don't gig hardly ever so it is staying until it wears out. All that to say nice demo!

    Look buddy, I don't know what you think is a quality Tele but this is a close to an original Fender Telecaster hands down! There is NOTHING closer even if you buy aftermarket parts or even a boutique makers' parts you're not going to do better. Although I don't OWN one of these I HAVE played them at Sweetwater Sound. I am impressed with the fit, the finish, quality of parts and hardware and feel as well as action and fretwork. These guys have really done a bang-up job of making the next best thing to either a Mexican or USA Tele for the money. If anyone doubts me I am deciding whether to get the Squier Tele Classic Vibe 50's model or a Mexican Classic Player Strat for my house warming gift when I move sometime soon!

I’ve had mine for about a month and the Chrome is tarnishing already? Tuners seem nice but the bridge and selector plate is pretty pot metal like. Didn’t they used to have brass saddles? The MIM ones have the strat saddles? So, CV is the only regular telecaster until USA. The price didn’t go up this year so still a sweet buy!

    In thommans site there is two bb classic vibe telecasters but one costs 358 € and the other 389€. They have the same specks at least in the site seemed like it but the 389 one had reviews and the other didnt . The 359 one has in the name MN ( that i think is maple neck). Im considering buying the 389 one just because it has reviews.

    Everyone that plays these guitars are raving about them. If you don’t mind having the Squire name on the headstock They are incredible value for money

    I bought one of these about 15 mths ago and I really cannot fault it! I paid about £320.00 for it (UK) and like you suggest, it doesn't feel or sound cheap. Also I have the same strap on my guitar as you!!!!!

      It's 520 USD(or 400 pounds) in my country but I'm planning to just get it at $400(310 pounds)online at Sweetwater and just pay for the international shipping charges and get it for cheap. It has extremly positive reviews also. However, there's a "Plekked" version of that guitar too which is available also at Sweetwater for $658. That has a really good rating too and some love it a lot, but I am not sure if it is really worth the extra 258 dollars. Can anyone help me with this, and whether I should get the "plekked" one or not? I'm in a dilemma especially since I'm on a budget.

      @@faridcantadormido2318 Ihad a candy apple red 60s CV strat that i sold after getting an e series Japanese strat which is a great guitar. Luckiky one wek after selling the CV I found someone selling pickups from one, so I put them in the Japanese strat. Now its a perfect guitar !! I also just sadly sold my 50s cv strat white with gold anodised pickguard. It is a lovely guitar in everyway except the skinny necks on CV guitars. I now have a 1983 Tokai Goldstar Sound in candy apple red 50s style and a 1980 Greco Super Real 50s strat in 3 tone sunburst copy of 58 strat. I have a 60s tele custom that I have an Allprts fat neck on it with a Filtertron in the neck, its a fantasic guitar. To be honest these CV guitars are close to quality of the great 70s and 80s Japanese made guitars ! For much less money !!
