I am watching this in 2020 July. I am happy on many counts apart from being impressed with Rukmini’s brilliance. First is that our classical Naatyams are gradually returning to their traditional and Dharmic platforms, our Temples, as offerings to our Deities. Second is that our traditional and classical arts, the finest that culture can attain, is now being brought out of the Sabhas, which have played a crucial role in protecting them and nurturing them through the decades of systematic attack by alien powers with malovalent intentions, and are being made available to us the common people of the land to experience, enjoy, and evolve. Third is the deep interest and general good behaviour of our children and their adults, and the appreciation with which they watched the dance. This is specially significant as most of, or all their lives they have been exposed to the crass, crude, loud, corrupt, inappropriate music, dance, song, pictures, cinema, speeches, writing - just about everything in its basest and most worthless form, and which drag us down into depravity. As someone who venerates my Land and its wondrous civilization, and have the dream and hope that soon we will see ourselves waken to a rejuvenated Bharatha, I am grateful to artists like Rukmini for their service.
Rukmini appears like a Goddess in every dance that she preforms. What dedication! She is so graceful and poised! A very genuine representative of Indian culture - our cultural ambassador to the world!
Yes, her dance is a treat to watch, her quick movements, perfection and masterly performance all in one. We are proud that she performed in our Natyanjali festival.
it must be very irritating for the performer if the audience are so disoriented.I don't blame the children, i blame the elders who made them sit at the front. You should respect the artiste.
