You need what my dad had at his shop back in the 80's. He had a winch mounted on the wall inside his bay so he could winch dead vehicles into the bay. He'd connect multiple tow straps to the cars that were further out in to the parking lot and take them off as it got closer to the bay.

When dealing with the wife unit, it is important to remember that she is just doing the best that she can. Any mistakes are 100% unintentional. Make it right with her. Apologize to her on camera for all the viewers to see. It’s embarrassing to chewed out in front of a crowd by the one you love. (Not to mention 492,000 viewers). At first she was in the vehicle being towed and almost hit the vehicle I was driving because her vehicle's brakes didn't have power steering and it was too hard for her to apply the brakes. So we traded places and she tried driving the truck in front and nearly snapped the tow strap by taking off to quickly. It got intense but we got thru it, but neither one of us ever wants to go thru that again. Soldering aluminum wires: Soldering to aluminum is very difficult and quite different than soldering to copper or solder coated surfaces. The issue with aluminum is the oxide on the aluminum itself and it needs to be removed so the solder can make a electro-mechanical bond to the shield itself.
In your case, a mechanical bond would be best used.

By the end, when pushing to the lift she had nicely dialed in the throttle modulation for smooth and safe. Tense things like this happen - the love lasts. "I love you" is often said "I'm sorry. Small point but wouldn’t it have been better to change the connector on the fuel pump itself rather than adapting the vehicle wiring to fit a non-standard pump? If the pump needs replacement in the future and a genuine part is fitted then the connector will need to be changed back to the original type and future-Ray or whoever will be cursing present-day-Ray’s decision to make the car fit the pump rather than the other way around…

@@tonyjover resistance is the same either way. As the float arm moves up or down the resistance changes. GM uses a different standard than Ford or many other manufacturers. So he may realize soon that this GM fuel sender uses 0-90 ohms and the opposite is for Ford 73-10 ohms. When the tank is full, you will get 90 ohms on a GM and around 10 ohms on a Ford.
Bottom line: the polarity of the wires doesn’t matter. The resistance is changed by the float rubbing on a wound spring like wire to change the resistance as it moves up or down.
