  • Hi! My name is Tamar, welcome to my channel, 3x3 Custom! I am a mother of 3, DIY'er and Woodworker who loves to share my building process.
I am NOT a professional, everything I have learned has been from UA-cam, Google and Instagram. Oh yeah and a little trial and error too ;)
Building is so much fun and it really is so easy. If I can do it, so can you!

My kids are grown, but hearing those voices at the end was so sweet. I've enjoyed your channel and I've learned a great deal. I too am building out my tool inventory, making tables, 'stuff' for my kids, grandkids. It's a lot of fun. Keep up the great inspiring work, we all really appreciate it.

I owe you a huge "thank you". I'm a novice woodworker and I've learned so much from your channel. I find you to be a model of patience when you are trying to be precise. I struggle at times with wanting to take short cuts and then end up regretting it. Now, when I feel the temptation to rush my mantra is "What would Tamar do?". I try to channel your penchant to take your time to get the setup right, use test cuts, etc. You've had a huge effect on the quality of my projects. So... Thank you!

    Video #1.
Look how far you've come Tamar.😊
The same smiling face, cheerful kids (probably 😜🤣😂), a temperature controlled shop full of fabulous tools, and still a bright shining light here on the Tube.😉
I thought I'd seen all of your videos and this randomly popped up this morning.
    What a great reminder.👌
Life tries to swallow us up, but when we close the door, tune out the noise, and be still for a while, perspective returns with a fresh way of thinking.
    Tamar,
You are a light on a hill. When the sun is out it might appear that you cannot be seen, but you can, just have to look a little closer. Like a candle, you can see the flame even in the brightest sunlight and as the sun gives way to evening the brilliance grows and the flame can be seen from far away.
Finding the time to do everything you want to do is hard, kids, family, life, and then UA-cam when you can.
    You got it exactly right.
People look forward to seeing your posts whenever you can because you inspire and motivate everyone to give it a try.
    Thanks for the sunshine.😉🤙

Hi, I just love your attitude and the fact that you so clearly point out how fun and creative DIY build projects can be.
Another reason why I love your channel is the fact that you show that it's not a "man thing" to use drills and other power tools etc. It's a shame that especially many women still stand back from this type of activity (even in a quite gender liberated country like Denmark, where I live). It is a thing for everybody. - It is simply having fun being active and creative.
Yet another good thing is that these types of builds usually last a long time so they can be nice souvenirs reminding us about the good experiences for many years. When (if) I get old and doze off in my "rocking chair" I expect to blink at the pieces in the room and smile. :-)
Note: I'm 61 y.o. and self-taught starting looooong before the Internet/UA-cam came into existence, and as you I have gained a lot of knowledge over the years just by DOING. It is such a giving process.
I found your channel through this French speaking guy giving credit to you: ua-cam.com/video/Od1kj8MOMtA/v-deo.html

I really like the live edge coat rack project. I have some black walnut planks that are seasoning and I'll try this as soon as its warm enough to work here (Ontario). I've been thinking a lot about the attachment and think that I'll try a 'built in' French cleat with the mate to be attached to the wall made out of black walnut as well. Since the slot for the French cleat will have to pass through the pivoting parts, that will be a full dado. I've got a few details to work out I'm sure.
I enjoy your videos. Keep up the great videos.
Also appreciate your choice of Scotch on the bar cart.

Hello, entering my fifties I recently took up woodworking and discovered your videos. I am very happy that I did, because I have already learned quite a bit from you. Thank you! I do have one question though. In your juice groove/cutting board video, you smoothed the cutting board with your DeWalt thickness planer (a very good planer I hear), but then sanded over it. I have understood that planing is superior to sanding, so I am wondering what advantage you see to sanding after planning. Thank you and I look forward to more videos.

I admire you, Mama! I'm a mom with a 20-mo-old and a fetus, and I yearn to be a woodworker so badly!
How has your journey been from a Mom into a woodworker? Sometimes the dream seems so far out of grasp. But I could use some down-to-earth advice--good, bad, and ugly, you know?

Hi! So I didn’t even start to think this could be a reality until my youngest was in school. I would sneak in small projects during nap time and all that. But I couldn’t really focus on it until he was off to school. Now that the kids are in school it’s just all about planning. I spend the mornings taking care of the house. Prepping dinner and all that. Then I have the afternoons to build (and now edit videos) once the kids are home at 3 all the tools go down and it’s all focus on the kids again! It’s a lot of hard work and juggling. But it’s all worth it!

Yep, I picked up the "Oi", at the end.
Although, I use it myself and I am not Israeli or Jewish or even close.
I find it to be Very expressive.
In my life,..... the way I do things,..... it gets used ,....often,....like a lot. Oi! 🙄
