In the process of reconnecting my doorbell to a new wifi and I'm so close to saying f**k it and just putting a sign on the door that says "knock hard" I've tried literally everything and it just will not connect.. I hate how videos just go through the "best case scenario " set up. Day 3 here we go.
Keeping the key "in a safe place" is a nice touch. Any flat-head does the trick. I'd need a new doorbell every week. Sorry, I'm happy with 3 (inside) cams, 3 minis, 1 hub, and half a dozen smart-sockets, but this I won't be investing it until you come up with something my 5-year-old can't nick within 5 seconds.
Depends on usage, if it only sees people and records around 5 times per day, you can expect around 4-5 months. It takes 5 ours to charge from empty to full
I love how they have a small note in the instructions to avoid scratching the lens instead of having a removable plastic cover because of course mine is now scratched.
When would you suggest the best 4-5 hour time period for us to remove the unit for recharging? If we buy this for security why would you require us to remove it at all? Fundamental product flaw to not have replaceable batteries. Removal at any time defeats the purpose

Wait, you can’t use the Nest doorbell with the Nest app?? How backwards is that having to use multiple apps to see multiple nest cams that we’ve obtained throughout the years!
Hey Scooley, thanks for posting. We get where you're coming from - we appreciate your feedback. Our long term plan is to use the Google Home app as the one place that you can control your Nest and other smart home devices. That said, you’ll be able to view both your old and new Nest Cams together in the Home app.
The problem is that the Google Home app is not nearly as good as the Nest app and you have to bounce over to the Nest app to configure settings and do all the useful stuff anyway. Don’t try and fix what isn’t broken is my opinion.
We hear you. We're committed to improving our products and services, and we appreciate this feedback. Google is still working on the integration between the two apps. For more information, feel free to visit this link: bit.ly/2Vl8V65

What is supposed to prevent someone from stealing a Nest doorbell?
Can i Change the Battery of the device. For example after two years when the Battery lost half of its Capacity?
have been waiting for this for 4 years, I cannot be bothered buying chimes for a doorbell, it should just work with my google home
In the process of reconnecting my doorbell to a new wifi and I'm so close to saying f**k it and just putting a sign on the door that says "knock hard" I've tried literally everything and it just will not connect.. I hate how videos just go through the "best case scenario " set up. Day 3 here we go.
I tried a factory reset and everything when I got a new modem and ended up buying a new one. 🤯

I have a wireless doorbell and would like to set up Nest wireless. Can I connect it to my Alexa to notify me when someone is ringing the bell?
I love how they have a small note in the instructions to avoid scratching the lens instead of having a removable plastic cover because of course mine is now scratched.
Yeah that really pissed me off too, also the lack of instruction without having to lookup a video

Well isn't it obvious to avoid scratching a camera lens lol

How do I get notified if someone is ringing the doorbell? I’m not getting any sound or notification on my phone. It’s pointless.
