In spite the ridiculousness of this charge, I was found guilty and sentenced to 7 days. Apparently it wasn't 7 days more on top of my 100+ day sentence, but just '7 days'. Since I had already been in prison for 10 days, that apparently meant I was free to go. Not knowing what to do when I realized that I was free to go, I immediately stole a basketball to try and get back to being an inmate, but the judge just ordered me to pay $10 for a new basketball. Then -obviously impressed with my basketball stealing- one of the wardens offered me a job as a security guard. So I took it.
