The screen starts turning red for seemingly no reason (the test question?), Yap gets up and immediately destroys an entire table with a cartwheel. A circle of teachers in grey suits begins circling around him. Some kid declares a fight with Yap then proceeds to run straight past him. Yap head-dives another table and incites the rage of another teacher who reacts by throwing him against a brick wall. The sirens are blaring the entire time. This is the kind of naturally emergent mayhem that only McDickie games can provide.

This is like a perfect school-dream simulator, as everything basic is slow and clunky and feels like you're under water, and nonsensical shit can happen all the time and be over without you even realising
Perfect explanation. Reading this after watching I totally get what you mean. MDickie created a very specific Dream Emulator.
It's the "missing every single class" part that really captures the school dream feeling for me.
The horrid controls adds to it, as I can never throw a punch in a dream and everything I do is wobbly
At first I was thinking "Yeah I can see where this person is coming from", but then the digging/teleport mechanic came in and I started to shift to "Oh my god they're right".

There aren’t many games where you can play as a bearded 5 year old with an eyepatch who becomes the biggest menace in a town full of wrestling weirdos. That’s why I’m glad we have MDickie.

My personal theory is that Yap Massacre was the infant who inspired the song "Fuck You Baby" from Popscene. Growing up with a father who publically dissed him via song gave him a lot of behavioral issues.

My favourite detail is how the stairs to the subway go up into nothing rather than down.
This guy keeps adding new content to his games that's just barely passable as gameplay mechanics and yet, held by zip ties and duct tape, it all works together well enough to give us so much fun and pure insanity. MDickie is a genius.

YoshiP is Naoki Yoshida who remade the mmo FFXIV into 2.0 and is currently still working on it, and the latest Final Fantasy game, which is 16 I think.
