King of aesthetics? It doesn't make sense because Sergio Oliva, Lee Haney and Flex Wheeler where all bigger, better developed and as aesthetics, if not more, as he was.
Enoch Root agreed, twats like Dingleberry and Chuck Basher don't look good at all. That said, that doesn't mean we should be promoting twinks like Jeff Seid, we need a shift towards Zane-mode or Schwarzenegger-mode, not smallmode.
Goku disagreed . Those from the 70s/80s aren’t dying off like that due to steroids not being their main diet staple - but those from the modern era of bodybuilding are dying quick - rich piana , Dallas mc carver , Ronnie Coleman is on deaths door with that half paralysis going on . There’s plenty more where that came from - all deaths came from a number of factors but the driving force was their need to be bigger than their predecessors , and it pushed them over the edge in one way or another - drugs , choking , dying a slow and shameful death in a wheelchair . Let’s change this mass monster bullshit to a more golden age aesthetic look .
Nothing wrong with the Jeff Seid look, but I agree that there seems to be no place for a Frank Zane body these days. Symmetry and proportion mean very little I suppose. That’s a shame because you can perfect these things without having to make the ultimate sacrifice while promoting a supposedly ideal physique while in actuality your heart is twice the normal size and your organs are failing.
Josh Daly what we need to do is stop judging people for their sizes because at the end of the day that what created the freaks in the first place ‘bigorexia’
Callum 97 i agree. Zane is the only pro I can honestly look up to and say id like to look like him. But thats just my opinion i like the aesthetic/athletic look
I named my son "Zane" after Frank Zane because he was incredible to me as an amateur bodybuilder. My wife's granfather, who has passed, was named Frank. So it just fit perfectly. 💪
Absolutely beautiful physique. A huge admirer of Zane and his aesthetics. As a bodybuilder I trained for that symmetrical look. Saw Zane in Worlds Gym in Venice Ca. In 83 ,he was surprisingly strong and saw him incline bench as much as 315 . Impressive . Miss the Era of physique bodybuilding. Thanks for the inspiration Frank Zane
Frank Zane was simply an athletic phenom. Thank you for putting this tribute out Nick because 90% of the guys at my gym in London don't even know who this legend was...
Literally looked like a Greek statue. Zane is about as perfect as you could’ve ever gotten. Imo way better than Arnold. I’ve never liked his massive bubble chest. Zane was perfectly symmetrical.
Excellent profile of Zane. One of my all-time favorites. I still think he had the most beautifully aesthetic and well-proportioned physique in modern bodybuilding. Thanks for the great video!
People are so naive, man. Zane absolutely juiced. He looked fantastic and far more aesthetic than say, Jay Cuttler but he still juiced. The human body has limits.
When he puts his arms above his head and his biceps look thick plus his vaccum he is everything that is right about bodybuilding condition size symmetry a fxzking work of art x
I'm 180 lbs at around 10% body fat and Frank looks TWICE as big as me. What a beast. If I ever do another bodybuilding contest I'd do something similar to his posing routines. They were epic.
Not really into body building but im here subscribed to your channel for abt a year now. In my humble opinion, frank has the best physique of all body builders you made a video on.
Great video. Always thought Zane was 1of the most underrated body builders of all time. Big fan. Beautiful poses, made it look artistic. Got him up there in my top 3fav
Who would I like to look like if I had a magic wand? Well, Frank Zane, Steve Reeves or Shawn Ray. All classically beautiful. And they didn't have to waddle when they walked like today's chemical freaks and they didn't have to constantly suck in bloated bellies. And all three very intelligent and well-spoken individuals.
i'd probably go gay for frank zane lol. he looked better than arnie, handsome dude too. loved his vacuum pose and symmetry. my inspiration for the gym. cant believe this is the first time you've done a frank zane video nick! thanks for sharing.
Body building ended here.. This is the man. I'm 57 now, I first saw him at 14 and thought that is the best I have ever seen!! and he still is, no one ever came close!!!
I'm 58 and first saw and met Zane when I was 18 when he guest posted @ the 1979 Canadian Championships in Montreal a few weeks before he won his third Mr Olympia. I agree with your sentiments. He looked incredible.
Had a private meeting with him as a birthday present. Frank didn’t actually throw his trophy against a wall. The trophy did break(because they were poor quality) when it fell over. A writer sensationalized the whole thing for a story. He is still into archery and was telling me about his new compound bow his wife just got him. I can attest that he is a standup guy in a sport where it isn’t common.
I just love your comments. I have seen some of your contributions. you are the best. you gave us more clear information about the great era of bodybuilding time . thank you.
Personally I think he had the best looking physique of all the official winners of the Mr Olympia title. According to one of his books , he weighed 187,88, and 190 for each of his respective Mr O victories. His books are a wealth of information for any prospective bodybuilder , or for anyone looking to get healthier and more fit. A true legend!
Many thanks, awesome tribute to the legend.........Zane in my opinion is the best of the best ......epitome of aesthetics......had truly set the standards and is a trailblazer for many to follow
Finalllllllllllllllllyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. The King of Aesthetics. Kudos Nick for all you do, this totally made my day. I'd love to see you do interviews with bodybuilders, especially Bob Paris or Danny Padilla.
I said this before and I'll say it again, that I find it hilarious that Frank Zane threw his trophy against the wall, only because it's hard to imagine. I admire him for everything that he's done for not only professional bodybuilding, but also opening the general public's eyes to the concept that one can do with weights exactly what any artist decides to do with a painting or portrait, and leave it up to the individual to decide. In my humble opinion, he accomplished his goals, and then some.
Good video. Arnold's competition weight was exaggerated over his competition days. He once said that he only weighed about 215 in the 1980 Olympia and 225 at the 1975 Olympia.
Frank Zane had and may still have a training facility called Zane Haven in Palm Springs Calif. You could train with him and I believe stay there as well. Limited amount of clients at one time, meals, etc. Probably pretty pricey too.
That black and white vacuum picture looks like a greek god sculped out of stone, incredible.
That's an image that motivated me to lift weights.
Apart from the fact that those statues didn't have underwear
Contender for best BB picture of all time.
Zane was the ultimate sleeper. He could wear regular size clothes and you'd never know what was lurking under there.
he had the superman physique if he were taller he would have been a great superman
The definition of Aesthetics
Only " bad" thing he almost got no traps muscle at all
King of aesthetics? It doesn't make sense because Sergio Oliva, Lee Haney and Flex Wheeler where all bigger, better developed and as aesthetics, if not more, as he was.
Frank Zane, when body builders looked actually human.
Barack Smith Human and I want to underline GOOD, no bubble gut, no 320 lbs, no 60 cm of arms, no skin like my fucking dick. The best, a legend.
Barack Smith
...not at 1:30 on Frank
*Greek Gods
Rav Singh ikr even Arnold's laughing
Exactly!
we need another paradigm shift towards aesthetics to stop all these folks killing themselves with excess size and drugs
Enoch Root agreed, twats like Dingleberry and Chuck Basher don't look good at all. That said, that doesn't mean we should be promoting twinks like Jeff Seid, we need a shift towards Zane-mode or Schwarzenegger-mode, not smallmode.
Totally agree, not a fan of the Twink in board shorts look but a return to the 80's /90's aesthetic standards would be a positive move.

Josh Daly what we need to do is stop judging people for their sizes because at the end of the day that what created the freaks in the first place ‘bigorexia’
If i got to pick the body I wanted. It would be Frank's it was perfect imo
Callum 97 i agree. Zane is the only pro I can honestly look up to and say id like to look like him. But thats just my opinion i like the aesthetic/athletic look
Same
Nick's Strength and Power Bob Paris?
Nothing is perfect
For me it would be Lee Labrada, but taller, which is basically Bob Paris :)
He just looked fkn perfect, and his symmetry and aesthetics were just on point and thats what made him better looking than others..
Hell yeah
Wow, I never realized how highly educated he was
niplvr Read his book. Completely blown away. Adds eastern wisdom and medicine into his training philosophy.
eastern wisdom and medicine... you mean thousands of years of quackery.
Frank zanes' physique is my dream physique.
Not only yours 😊
late as well but same
Frank Zane was the best... great definition, no paunchy bubble-gut, no dropping dead in middle-age...
Back when even the general public thought bodybuilders looked good.
No one wants to look like the pros today.
*When they do that vacuum pose it's like there's no organs left inside. ✅😲*
Wow it's pretty cool to find you here! There are no organs left inside because Alien's acid probably corroded them. 😁
I named my son "Zane" after Frank Zane because he was incredible to me as an amateur bodybuilder. My wife's granfather, who has passed, was named Frank. So it just fit perfectly. 💪
Before Zyzz there was Zane, a REAL bodybuilder.
Semih Hazar fuck zyzz
Zyzz was nothing in front of zane
Semih Hazar yeah and fuck Arnold too..
@@florijanzugelj3408 you mad yeah you mad
Don't even compare please
The paradigm shift now needs to be towards aesthetics and symmetry. Otherwise, as Arnold said, the sport will regress to a sub-culture.
This guy is possibly the only bodybuilder that you wish you had that kind of body.
Zane built a perfect body. He was my inspiration to start bodybuilding.
this is how i want to look. none of that mass monster shit
To me Frank Zane had the perfect physique. That's what a bodybuilder should look like, less mass but more aesthetics.
Nick - King of Best Videos
Thanks bro
Berüchtigt187 er
...Nick king of best videos and Arnold king of bodybuilding
more stuff on Frank Zane. I'm tired of all the pregnant bodybuilders
Finally a video on Frank Zane!! He's got to be my favourite bodybuilder ever! Thanks Nick. You the man!
I liked the Big Ramy comparison that was an interesting insight
His waist looks tighter compared to Phil imo...
Though he's relatively smaller compared to the mass monsters, Zane has somewhat a very dense physique. Proportioned and balanced!
He's relatively smaller compared to other 70's bodybuilders
But jacked and aesthetic
The vacuum pose in black and white, just kills it.
Loved how much info was in this video man
Thanks bro
I woukd say Zanes physique would be what most men want to have these days.
These videos are why I love this channel
thanks bro
He has one of the best physiques I’ve ever seen.
Ah fuck yes my all time favourite physique and a video from Nick about the man himself. Frank Zane. What a treat thanks for the appreciation
Thanks bro
Natural loom
Absolutely beautiful physique. A huge admirer of Zane and his aesthetics. As a bodybuilder I trained for that symmetrical look. Saw Zane in Worlds Gym in Venice Ca. In 83 ,he was surprisingly strong and saw him incline bench as much as 315 . Impressive . Miss the Era of physique bodybuilding. Thanks for the inspiration Frank Zane
About time you made a video on frank zane.....
Frank Zane - a true renaissance man. He is absolutely one of my favorite bodybuilders, in my personal top 3. Good coverage of info Nick, thanks!
Was really looking forward to a Frank Zane video, thanks Nick!
Frank Zane was simply an athletic phenom. Thank you for putting this tribute out Nick because 90% of the guys at my gym in London don't even know who this legend was...
Amazing thing about Frank Zane is that he's in 70s and still has a good amount of muscle mass intact. Awesome video by the way.... :)
Frank Zane had the best physique ever! He wasn't the strongest man, or the biggest man, but he looked like a greek god.
Literally looked like a Greek statue. Zane is about as perfect as you could’ve ever gotten. Imo way better than Arnold. I’ve never liked his massive bubble chest. Zane was perfectly symmetrical.
Thought I was the only one thinking that about Arnold's chest.
This was the prefect body. I always related more to Frank Zane, because i felt that for me, his physique was more attainable than Arnold's
YES!! A Frank Zane video from nick. That's what I needed now.
Keep up the good stuff!
TEN STARS for doing a video on the GREAT ZANE!!!!
Nice way to start my morning
Your morning? What time is is there? It's almost 2pm here lol
12:45 here
Little past 1, I got a late schedule
22:24
my morning starts at noon also
One of the all times greatest bodybuilders there ever was. This is how bodybuilders should look like.
Excellent profile of Zane. One of my all-time favorites. I still think he had the most beautifully aesthetic and well-proportioned physique in modern bodybuilding. Thanks for the great video!
Frank is one of the best ever. Just legendary. No hesitation in said that.
The black and white picture from Frank Zane hitting the Vacuum pose precisely looks like a Greek God statue. Aesthetic af 🔱
Now this is what body building is all about and not these steroid freaks of today. IMO .... Oh and one of the best if not the best poser.
Coolrockndad The golden era of bodybuilding... when it was about class, not mass.
Coolrockndad I hope you know that they used gear back then too.
Derek Napier yeah in like... 50 times lesser than today?
People are so naive, man. Zane absolutely juiced. He looked fantastic and far more aesthetic than say, Jay Cuttler but he still juiced. The human body has limits.
When he puts his arms above his head and his biceps look thick plus his vaccum he is everything that is right about bodybuilding condition size symmetry a fxzking work of art x
Legend!
Outside of Steve Reeves, Zane is my all-time favorite. We have gone too far in terms of getting huge at the expense of beauty and aesthetics.
Frank Zane was always the best in my eyes. Thanks for the video and also the interesting insights!
I'm 180 lbs at around 10% body fat and Frank looks TWICE as big as me. What a beast. If I ever do another bodybuilding contest I'd do something similar to his posing routines. They were epic.
Pure aesthetics. My favorite bodybuilder of all time. I've been waiting for this one Nick🙌
My favorite bodybuilder!😁
This channel is now the wikipedia of the fitness world. Love it.
Order of the Arrow is not a "Highest Archery Honor" its a club within the Boy Scouts that teaches about native culture and survival skills.
I like to unwind from the pressure of the day by listening to Bro Nick, great info, excellent video subject and pure panache in delivery.
Oooooo first.....Zane is obviously a legend sad we wont see his likes again gracing the O stage.
Graham Mark with the Classic division becoming a thing, maybe we'll see a new king of aesthetics soon.
Not really into body building but im here subscribed to your channel for abt a year now. In my humble opinion, frank has the best physique of all body builders you made a video on.
His physique was amazing
Great video. Always thought Zane was 1of the most underrated body builders of all time. Big fan. Beautiful poses, made it look artistic. Got him up there in my top 3fav

"today's chemical freaks" I laughed so hard
Frank Zane is my favorite bodybuilder. Props for making this video.
Sylvester Stallone would have played Frank Zane on screen, back in the day, had they made a Zane movie or tv show.
It's definitely true and I agree
I thought the same then saw your comment!
Another in depth, informative video Nick, nice job Brother!
i'd probably go gay for frank zane lol. he looked better than arnie, handsome dude too. loved his vacuum pose and symmetry. my inspiration for the gym. cant believe this is the first time you've done a frank zane video nick! thanks for sharing.
lol
I don't think that Zane would go gay for you though ....
should have kept the under and over 200lb classes.
TOM OUTDOORS u r gay already
haha..that's pretty gay
This guy is the pinnacle of bodybuilding. This is inspiring for everyone, not mass monsters. Amazing
The chemist Frank Zane is a legend
Body building ended here.. This is the man. I'm 57 now, I first saw him at 14 and thought that is the best I have ever seen!! and he still is, no one ever came close!!!

Bodybuilding went to heck about the same time Zane retired from it. No coincidence.
Another excellent video,thanks Nick.
I just love your comments. I have seen some of your contributions. you are the best. you gave us more clear information about the great era of bodybuilding time . thank you.
His aesthetics, as well as that vacuum, are insane!
For me, and when I got into bodybuilding in 1976 Zane was my favorite. He still is.
Frank Zane, Robby Robinson, Bob Paris and Jusup Wilkosz for me were crazy aesthetic
Bodybuilders like this are transcendent and makes u appreciate the art of bodybuilding
Personally I think he had the best looking physique of all the official winners of the Mr Olympia title. According to one of his books , he weighed 187,88, and 190 for each of his respective Mr O victories. A Greek God Body, chiseled by a real person!! No other looks so perfect in my opinion... Respectfully

U need to explain some things to us XD
Nick's Strength and Power Straight savagery
Yes! Solid video about one of the greatest bodybuilders in the sport.
I said this before and I'll say it again, that I find it hilarious that Frank Zane threw his trophy against the wall, only because it's hard to imagine. You mentioned Frank Zane in another video of yours and now im here!
"The Chemist"🧪🧬🧫🔬
Good video. Arnold's competition weight was exaggerated over his competition days. He once said that he only weighed about 215 in the 1980 Olympia and 225 at the 1975 Olympia.
Frank Zane is my all time favorite Bodybuilder. In my opinion, he had the greatest physique ever. The Year of Zane 1977.
Love all these old school bodybuilder videos bro!
Nick can you show use your workout routine for back and biceps plz.
My favorite bodybuilder -- thanks for this, Nick.
They really should bring back aesthetics, especially the vacuum pose... From the UK
