nice!! i'm thinking of transitioning my water propogated pothos clippings to soil but i'm so nervous. the root growth in water has been excellent! i don't want them to die.
I know exactly how you feel. Just remember to keep the soil moist for the first couple of weeks (not soaking wet) and then back off to normal watering schedule. Good luck!
Nice pothos with those nice aerial roots! What a great mama! I've tried once to propagate my pothos and it went bad after the roots grew and when I potted them up. I"m so scared to try again 😬 but I guess it doen't hurt to try again! Thanks for sharing. I'm going to try again soon but I'm going to look for some aerial roots like yours 😍
The key to moving them from water to soil is to keep the soil moist for the first week after transplanting. Not soaking wet, but moist. You could also try moving the cuttings to sphagnum moss for a while before putting them in soil. The moss is moist and an easier transition for them. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.
Hi Carmen. It’s normal see mold into the propagation box? For me it’s something new to do and hope for the plants that are no good. Most with philodendrons. Thank you. Mh
I knew it was time because the soil had been sinking. But, she was in very good health and I'm looking forward to having another Pothos. Thanks so much for visiting!
Hi Carmen. Hope u had a great weekend. I was wondering, how did u get ur pothos to trail up the cabinet? I bought a pothos at Walmart with a totem already in the pot but it’s starting to grow and trail upwards.
I put small tacks on the cabinet and then I attached a small piece of twine to the Pothos trail and hung it on the tack. You could probably use command strips. I just used what I had on hand.

I never tried moss propagation, I may try it one day. I LOVE water propagating especially with Pothos and philodendrons. Great video.
I enjoyed your video Carmen. You can never have too many pothos! Happy propagating.
I agree! I'm putting one in every room.

@@carmenwhitehead That really does help. Thank you s o much Carmen!
Will have to try propagating in sphagnum at some point.
Thanks for a great video 😊
Your plant looks great. Nice job!
I've propagated a philodendron cutting in moss and it did really well, so I figured I'd try the pothos. I think it will do fine. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for your instructional sense. I think I'm ready to start propregating.
Best of luck!

I love how careful you are with your plants. I guess I should report my pothos😂

Very informatve,thanks... was never sure where to make the cut :(
What do you mean when you say aerial root?
Those are dark roots that grow from the stem. If placed in water they will become regular roots. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
I use the same potting mix. Just mix it up myself like you do.
I love it. I plan on eventually switching all my house plants to that mix. Thanks so much for watching!
Great video, my friend❣️😊🍃
Thanks Rebecca!
Looks great repotted 😀
Thank you! She's really happy now.
Hi! I've learned a lot today. Thanks I also fell in love with the water propagating vase. Where did you get it at?
I've had that vase for years. I think it was a thrift store find. It has hand painted flowers on it and it's simply lovely.
Hi Carmen! I didn't notice any aerial roots attached to the pole. What happened? Unless the golden pothos doesn't like to climb. :
No, it didn't have any attached. I don't think they were big enough. But, in the wild they can either climb or trail. Thanks for watching.

Great video! Did you make or buy the moss pole??
I now make my moss poles. Here is the tutorial video

That is a terrible name, I never refer to it as that. Thanks so much for watching!
