This dude’s style would work pretty well with heavy guitars and drums, maybe even in a metal band, he’s already got the look
Lmao
he actually really reminds me of #0 from slipknot... nah, i'm thinking of someone else
@@19_dedgorl Lmaoooo
john dead AHAHAHAHAHA
If he puts some effort into it maybe just maybe he could be in a metal band like that dude in slipknot 👍😀👍
Slipknot needs to add a Sid solo to their setlist. Jim was already talking about percussion solos in a recent interview.
Okay Damn check out disasterpieces. Before eyeless is his solo
Jonn Alfaro I seen this. They need to bring it back!
He usually gets one in. Live
They used to do Sid solos back in the 2000s
@jj9306and heirloom
This shows how talented Sid is. He always brought a lot more to Slipknot than just a few scratches.
I feel like they shoukd give him a song where he can truly unleash his talent and they are just the backup. Like a remix song kinda thing
@@invader_ren5974 se oye excelente la idea
@@invader_ren5974 this mix lowkey is cause hes using the negative one sample
@@pizzaac8149👆
you can only hear him in one song really, and they gave him one solo 20 years ago
Starscream landed on me at a knot show 20 years ago. My neck has been fucked up ever since! WHOOOO!
I was literally just thinking, "has he ever broken somebodys wrist or something that left them injured for life¿. Guess he has.
You can’t really be mad at him though 😂
@@adammoore251 He broke both of his ankles at one show after a particularly nasty dive. He then proceeded to finish the show before going to the ER
This fuckin comment had tears comin out my eyes from laughin so hard, god damn......hahaha good shit yo.
@@ThaVakZeeN lol! And it every bit true. I can't look up and to the left without causing pain!
Seeing him do this shit in person is fucking crazy
I miss old silpknot cuz dominant with dj effect sound
Would love so much more sid, way more noticeably, yus
Best slipknot era was the first two albums. Wanna hear more of his sets.
@@Nifedamac exactly.
New record is really a step back in that direction though... Not a huge be step but very noticeable
@@Nifedamac I think yes this day, the dj effex not really dominant but I think slipknot is better this day.
I've been a fan of Slipknot for a long time, but only just recently beginning to learn just how talented Sid is in his own right. DJ StarScream is badass!
Same XD
Me too bro
For sure. Sid, and Craig are very under appreciated.
Sid has to be in the top 5 for best scratches 100%
As someone whose never been behind turntables I have not 1 fucking clue what is going on here but damn sids contribution to music is undeniable.
0h my damn imagine if you knew what he was doing! He's blending new and old sko0l styles. It's all very innovative. I especially like how he does it all in the style of jungle 🐒⛽️ you can watch the TV show People Just Do Nothing to get a better understanding of the genre ✌️🤘
Sid's work is badass, the self titled album was off the charts, and when I heard him throw down on unsainted,it brought the true Slipknot feel back
Yup 🤟
It's crazy good
This guy is so much of Slipknot's sound
The groove at 13:44 is just unstoppable. It would be nice to hear Sid and Craig's contribution to Slipknot's sound moreso in the band's music than we have on the past handful of albums. Sid's role should be so much more than simply a glorified record scratcher, and I can't help but feel as if his talent is overlooked by people even in his own band.
Brodie Yake first Slipknot album showed more what he use to bring to the band...they got away from that so they would be grouped with the neumetal label....u had limp Bizkit at one end ..Slipknot on the other end....everybody else was in between....but by no means are they the 2 best ...maybe famous cause of their bands.
Brodie Yake I remember seeing slipknot back in 2002 n Sid had a solo spot where he just did stuff with his turntables and mixer,it was pretty cool more of a jungle/d&b thing than this mix that he would segue into the start of eyeless.wish they still gave him a spot like that.
@@alexesquivel9081 i don't think they "got away from it" because they wanted to b grouped in with other bands that r considered nu metal, they've said before that they don't consider themselves a nu metal band they just got lump summed together because that was the sound of the time, a lot of bands around that time got labeled as that regardless if they wanted to b labeled as that or not. that's what ppl like to do, ppl label shit just because they have similar elements that means that they can all fit under an umbrella term which is shitty but our reality. slipknot is the best within the genre that they've been condemned to though, just my personal opinion.
self titled i could really hear sid in the songs
some of the heaviest scratching and mixing ive heard in decade's.
Sid was on the bill at Gatecrasher Summer Sound System 2002 in the dnb tent, smashed out the jungle and was easily the best DJ of the night.......at a god damn TRANCE festival haha
the visual effects on a video is a no no
thats a different department
If your not joking FUCK YOU!!!!!!!!! Ask me why I care. & if you are... Sup mang.
*it burns*
Its creative and different. Some people just dont appreciate individuality I guess.
@@DefiantDEFI i like sids' individuality, not whatever that shit was on the video
Had to listen to this again. Sid is an artistic genius in his own right. Very well studied, and does old school justice. Young people, be more like Sid if you're into it. We need more musical creativity out there.
I’d live to incorporate scratching into my beats and shit. I like to think I take a lot of inspiration from producers who used scratching records, but just with out the scratching lol.
That beat from 4:48 its dope, the cuts too .
Too Rude so damn good
I got an ad
song?
Damn would be a bad ass vid but the camera effects.
8:36 that track is so sick.
Sid was a O.G. before Slipknot existed.
This sounds like some down tempo jungle from the early 90s with a current hip hop aesthetic to it.
Thats sid
Started listening to Slipknot when I was 5, I remember being afraid of their masks and shit haha, started to grow out of it then I remembered that they have a DJ, since then I always wanted to learn how to scrath, started to listen to DJ Babu and local scratchers in my country, good times. Hands off Sid is a legend.
I haven't listened to him much but he is probably my favorite DJ. SID!!!
Imagine him and Tom Morello
Really hope Sid gets popular for doing this shit
Gets popular???? I think he's doing just fine!!!
wacoonfire I mean for doing this not being in Slipknot lol
Robert Clark he does his own rap songs
I just saw him this weekend at knotfest and he had his own stage doing this. The crowd was small since it was early in the day, but afterwards he came down and met all of us! Super cool and very nice guy. He took the time to talk to each and everyone of us
Robert Clark He did. Just find on UA-cam Deadman Remix. When that came out back '07 I was mindblown. He is not just DJ #0 for Slipknot, he is also known as DJ Starscream.
what a crazy setup. Never seen a turntable like that before either
TheMansonMouse p
Actually it’s a Vestax handy trax with a raiden fader
yeah but it looks amazing!!
Vestax is the best turntable for your $, better than technics. Reverse button and brake button
@@rorz999 wrong
This just confirms that I NEED to see Sid live now. Also obsessed with his latest album wondering when the other two will come out :/
Sid is a badass! Seen slipknot in concert the other day, best show i have ever seen!!!!!! 🤟❣️
4:32 THAT BEAT IS SEX
song?
This dude fucking rocks. What a set!
Sid has a very unorthodox and spontaneous style in his scratches. It may not be the best but it's unique.
KrisFrosz133 yus
@Carl Coriell Highly agree
Carl Coriell hey bro, I’d argue that Mix Master Mike is definitely up there too
I like
KrisFrosz133 oh and your supposed to be a DJ expert it some shit
This is the baddest beat sid ever made!
Hidden gem 💎
If he wear the mask it would be the different mix
thats why it's dj starscream and not sid#0
This is a DJ set that honestly marches to it's own drum and I mean that in the absolute best way possible.
I think Sid is underrated in the world of turntablism for that reason. His technical skills might not be at the very top level (although they are still WAY above average), but what he brings to the game in terms of creativity is matched by very few
I still think one of the best dj solos I’ve ever heard was during the disasterpiece dvd. I’d never and still have never heard anything like it.
It went on October 9 and I still watch it
I could sit around and listen to the constant loop of the negative one for hours on end
omg this beat is everything...got my head moving
I admire Sid (dj starscream) ever since he's in Slipknot especially his autobot and decepticon tattoos on both of his hands this man is the illest dj I have ever heard...
Dope mix, start your day to this and rock out.
Opener for Sid Wilson tomorrow at Chicago Star Bar in Chicago Heights, can't wait to see the master at work!
YOU ARE A LEGEND SID!!
Hey DJ Starscream.i remember a rave in chitown .we picked you up like on Hwy in like 96-0r 97.
Love revolution.¿
this is so mesmerizing for some reason
I can’t explain how much I love this! It’s fucking dope
Damn he’s been scratching that super seal record for over a decade lol
It isn't a real record
It's for serrato
ghostdtx how? I see the superseal sticker on the record
Nah it’s a real super just in a 44
This part is AMAZING! 4:33
thats some amazing spliff work!
i respect sid but who ever edited this made him look like an ass around the 5:44 mark... They cut out him changing vinyl and/or deck.
the was unique and very enjoyable! thx breal for sharing things like this! much appreciated!
The last mix sounds like it could be in a happy ending of a movie
Sid is the best DJ ever. Just amazing !!
with of the rest of his band he fucks shit up hard core no ifs ands or buts, its not his best ever work but its pretty sick djing isnt as easy as a lot of people make it seem
Well, it isn't his band, he is just in the band. There isn't much room for a dj in that band also. He is much better off solo.
I know, and that's part of how slipnkot get such a unique sound
Sid is a sick ass DJ he needs to do a solo album of Slipknot songs and sample and scratch them
damn this guy is good. he would be incredible in like a metal band or something. he should join one
🤦♂️He is in a metal band it's called Slipknot. #0 Sid Wilson.
@@emilioribera2619 really?? oh!!!
20:43 of happiness thank u
Masterclass, thanks for sharing.
Best DJ Ever! Slipknot Forever!
SLIPPPPPKNOTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn, Sid, in how much honey d'ju soak that L...?
I kept waiting for somebody to be thoughtful and helpful enough to relight him, then out of nowhere he hits hit again after like five minutes
Seriously though, can we all just take a minute to appreciate how epic it is that Slipknot decided to get a DJ, and one as good and nasty as Sid....?
All thanks to some hardcore heatbutting
I needed this today. Thank you for lifiting me up
I listen to this when I'm cruising :D
Beautiful
Can’t get over the last part of this track
Turned this on, cranked it up, loaded a couple bowls and chilled out
wheres mine?
broh im in bed eating pringles and drinking arizona w my juul and i pack a new bowl everytime sid took at hit. best idea ever
DozaCraft real talk dude.
Aren’t you cool
Exactly lmfao
I always enjoy seeing dj/producers using equipment outside of a mixer & decks.
With things like serato and ableton being so prevalent recently, this was def a cool vid to check out.
i say that because i know at one time BREAL you was vary big in it ,, you may still be ,, i remember your green low from lowrider magazine... dope ride
4:37
Awesome set Sid! Cheers from Argentina
They needa have bonus tracks on their album wit Sid jus doin remixes n alt. versions!
Love it
Holy shit!!! Siiiiid woow,perfect work!
The first track Is insane , love it
Sarcastrophe• Slipknot
*i'm a dumbass it's negative one. i have sarcastophe on the brain & always get those too mixed up.
Negative Zero
I wouldve loved this more if it was one camera and you could see the whole setup from above, and there werent any effects. Id love to see just a raw video like that.
that would b cool but the effects & shit give it personality. i'd watch both versions fer sure though.
God i miss scratching on lps. Thank u
Mad skills mad skills!!
sick
STRAIGHT FIRE! 🔥🔥🔥🤣
I didn't realize how crazy his set up was. 😂
Happy new year 🎉!!!!!!
Sid's epic skills

Does anyone know the gear he's using in this? Mostly the turntable, mixer, track former etc
I wanna know what the hell that eyeball thing is. Some kind of midi controller ?
The beat is dope, sounds good
that bass at then start of the video xd killing the camera totally
You're the MAN!
Melodie 🎶..
Love the eyeball 👁 mixer lol 😝 🤘
Flame Haired Dude mishka
So nobody has any idea what's the beat at 4:40 ? It's dope as hell.
Hell no, but i like it so fckin much
I think it’s called “Every Beat From the Late 90’s”
@@johndead249 I wish every beat was this good.
@@mrgorgun81 it does trigger a “oh this sounds like…” from that era but I can’t quite put my finger on it
